I like the idea of the A1X Zytel sheath for it's locking mechanism. Will the A1 Survival fit in this sheath and lock properly? Thanks for taking the time to do the reviews. Very informative.

Ordered the A1X yesterday. Can't wait to get it.

I like both A1 Pro and A1X. A1 Pro - the handle is comfortable but the knife balance isn't very good. A1X - the balance is better but it's uncomfortable after 10 mins due to hard edges in the extruded steel in the handle. I actually like the regular A1 the best in terms of the design and the knife balance. But, the steel is much better with A1X/Pro.

A bit too thick that steel for my liking. 5 mil would be enough imo.

A1 pro is not a full tang knife, but it is? Didnt understand that.

Small correction; the pro is Elmax steel, not laminate cobalt vg10 like the a1x.

I've never seen an A1 pro in elmax. I believe they make an f1 pro in elmax.
