How to factory reset your Kwikset Halo lock and set up like new. Do this to erase all codes, reconfigure Wi-Fi, and reorient the lock!
A factory reset will delete all codes associated with the lock.
1. Remove the battery pack.
2. Press and HOLD the Program button while reinserting the battery pack. Keep holding the button for 30 seconds until the lock beeps and the status LED flashes red.
3. Press the Program button once more. The status LED will flash green and red several times.
4. After a few seconds, the lock will initiate the door handing process, and the latch bolt will extend and retract to learn the orientation of the door.

You do not have to remove the trim screws and remove front plate Just slide the upper top cover off to access button and battery pack.
I would like to use the Halo without wifi. How to set-up the keypad code?
One change: after pressing the center round button, reinserting the battery pack, and waiting 30 seconds, as soon as the tone and light flashes, let go and press the button again immediately.

My Kwikset is not beeping after I hold down for 30 seconds
It’s not resetting
Why did you remove the entire case? All you had to do was remove/slide up the plastic cover and the program button was accessible. Removing all the side screws is a pain which is not necesssary.
