My lock isn’t auto locking:. How do I enable that?

My lock flahes red and won't lock or unlock. I pushed the program button in battery compartment, hit 1 then check mark my 4 digit code then check mark. Tried my code and just lock noise and beeping red flash.

How long do the batteries last?

Why mines don't lock after 30 seconds?
