Hey, Tim, I’ll be praying for you as you walk through this situation. I think it’s a good idea to get medical advice and, also, to find a good therapist. This exact same thing happened to an amazing and intelligent relative of mine back in 1994. Today, there is more medical help than was available back then.

Yep, that's the first thing I thought. "accidentally" searched for his records and "accidentally" clicked on the notes and read them... 🤔

I feel for Tim, the denial of how serious this is is so apparent. I am not sure why he meant by go away- you can lower your viral load to be undetectable but he would have clarified that. Maybe it’s the shock from it all. I hope he can heal from all this and move forward with his life.

Each time a caller says that they talk to their parents and tell them their problems John has the exact same answer : you're a grown man / woman why do you call your parents ?? I've seen this many times on this show and I don't understand why !! Your parents stay your parents till you die and they're the ones who care about you the most on this planet. Why does he think it's shameful to keep them in your life and be very close to them ?? Of course I talk to my parents about my life and my problems and I will continue to do so.

Shes probably worried she will do 95% of the work with a baby. Maybe start talking about how often you guys would get a babysitter would you hire a housekeeper or would you do 50% of the work? Are you doing that now? Maybe she sees how little you contribute and is worried she will have another full time job

Caller 1 Gaslighting, even good, loving parents can give off sublet messages that make us question ourselves, mute or dim our intuition, identify and agency. This does not mean having to leave your faith, your values, your life. But it will help you be able to understand yourself, options and empower your life. I leave you with a thought.. while we do know choices can have consequences if God really punished you, then why hasn't everyone been punished the same way for same action? Marriage is hard. It is a long term commitment where both people need maturity, patience, financial stability and love/respect. If one of the two parties is not willing to give that in a certain point of the marriage… that will dissolve. Been there done that.

I’m sorry Dr. John I had to stop watching this video because this Flushing girl needs therapy. Intense therapy and she isn’t hearing anything. My fear is that this guy Daniel is going to have issues being in a healthy relationship because he is trying to do everything he can to save this relationship and she is slapping him in the face. I don’t know if you heard her defending her dad but that is a red flag. There is no way your dad can be a great dad if he is treating your mom in such a humiliating way. So now her sister thinks that her husband is showing her love by treating her the same. She has so many excuses. She needs to go to therapy. I can’t take it. I hope you help her by telling her she needs intense therapy. She needs to move! Move out, take your mom, grow up!!!!

I think Dr John judged her pretty hard - she did make the call after all, and it felt to me like she does want to change, but doesn't have the tools. I found it a bit mean that Dr John was talking her into "she doesn't want to be healed". I went through other tough stuff, but I heard the "maybe you don't wanna heal after all" as well. I wanted it so badly, but neither did I have the tools, nor did that person provide some. What's left then is closing up even more and feeling judged and misunderstood

Um John Laura is in grief. Telling someone they don’t want to heal is gaslighting. Laura hope you find a good counsellor to help you and I’d hold off on making major decisions like marriage while you are healing. It takes time

Maybe gaslighting is too strong a word, but that's a snap judgement, that she does not want to heal, yes.. I'd day she's not ready to see the situation differently or rather separate the actors. And for healing she's got a good man by her side, a total opposite of those other ones. I don't get why she's dragging the fiance into this, what is it, guilt by association or by gender? Sure, Laura, find a counselor and heal, but don't let the frustrations out on the fiance, if he's really a good man, as you said.

The ridiculous comment from her at the 35:35 mark shows that she wasn't interested in taking responsibility for her faults or getting help. There was no need for John to continue to try and help by that point. She's very immature and deluded about relationships
