You know it's not a big surprise I worked for them about less than a year ago and I was a supervisor for them and the hours were being significantly the district was being very mean to their employees which caused me to quit The Stark rooms were always jam-packed full of inventory due to poor hours and a couple of the months we were cut down to about 300 hours to stretch across all of our employees it's something that we saw at least two or three years ago coming

I worked for Joann’s for years… they always cut hours like that. I never understood how other craft stores had clean well stocked stores yet Joann’s would be exactly as you described. No hours, merchandise sitting in back rooms, and mismanagement. It’s sad but they may not survive this

If Joanns had remained a fabric store instead of making a larger percentage of their space dedicated to selling crafts, perhaps they would not be in this position in this economy. Although fabrics are not always cheap and sewing is time consuming, home sewing is STILL more economical for me than buying off the rack clothing.
