@@lynninfiniteAemond is definitely Criston's favorite, I love how Aemond calls him Cole too while everyone else calls him Ser Criston. Viserys was never much of a father to him even when he was still alive so Criston is as close as it gets to a paternal figure.

Ewan Mitchell definitely won everyone’s heart portraying Aemond to the point he became top 5 of most searched/popular actors trending. He’s such menace yet a delight to see on screen. Dude just commands attention all the time.

Yes it's so weird seeing how little press he seems to be doing. Props to him if he wants to concentrate on acting and not get too caught up on the marketing, social media, fame etc. Too bad for us but better for him on the long run I'd say. I hope he'll be present in the behind the scenes /commentaires as extras in the DVD's though!

He is right, he knew it, Ewan Mitchell as Aemond is gonna be a hit among the fans! Ewan is awesome playing Aemond, and Aemond deserves a great performance.

He is such a sweetheart and big fanboy of the cast. I like how he leaves it open to interpretation if Criston was going to obey Alicent or not about taking Luke's eye, because a lot of people thought he was and others thought he wasn't, I don't think he was, he denied her order and he must obey the King above her who was telling him not to, and he only reacts when she's putting herself in danger going swinging with the dagger, he's her protector so I think he was just trying to stop her. Fabien in other interview said his younger brother called him cursing him because he was going to take a kid's eye and he answered no he wasn't but his brother was still mad at him and did not believe him, lol.

I side with his younger brother on this lol, I felt so terrified for Luke when I saw Criston marching on him like a mad dog... Hope Fabien wouldn't get to much overwhelming hatred because of this role, Criston is so doomed.

​​​@@silentsaturn7604 nah he's not at a point where he would hurt children, yet, but when Daemon gets Heleana's child murdered in retribution for Luke and she ends up suiciding Criston will send Arryk after Rhaenyra and her children to avenge them, unfortunately Arryk and Erryk kill themselves instead, season 2 will be brutal and Criston and Daemon are two of the most vicious characters alongside Otto, Rhaenyra and Alicent will get nasty too, the war will turn them all horrible.

The kid fight scene is very true! I totally agree with his friend about it, it was the first time I’ve seen kids fight in such a way and it was unreal how it was good

The only thing I would change is the amount of editing and cuts, I find it overwhelming when it doesn’t need to be. Just let the actors and doubles complete their movements so we see their skills.

When he said "As your protector" it clearly means that he won't take the kid's eye because that wouldn't be protecting the queen. Now, if they were alone in the room, I'm positive he would have said "Yes, my Queen". SHITLER! XD

Underrated actor

So . . . that wasn't blood on his lips, but ketchup. I must admit that scene from Episode 7 in which Alicent had demanded Ser Criston take Luke's eye was very strange, due to the expression on his face. It seemed as if for a brief moment, he was wondering whether he should do it or not. Really good acting.

Never have I taken such a sharp turn into disliking a character as I have for Criston "the obsessed' Cole. Fabien is doing a great job!

Adore Fabien!!!! He always seems so upbeat in interviews and so nice about his costars that’s one of the reasons why I feel almost bad that I detest Cole he has no redeeming qualities and I still think he was going after the kids and If Westerling and the King weren’t there he would have gone for the eye Also He knew the battles to come and knew Daemon would be the fiercest opponent so he trained him to fight that way unfortunately he’s just an imitation of the original And has anyone else noticed Jace looks more like him and I hate saying it but Luc and Joffrey look alike but Jace not as much and it was the way he was saying why he has to learn to speak Valyrian that reminded me of Cole plus all the times they cut to Jace then Cole in this scene was a little telling but Jace is such a good kid and a gentleman so I’m still leaning more to Harwin

He said “I’m your protector” as in “I’ll defend you if you get attacked, but you’re not getting attacked now, so I won’t take the kids eye”.

@@chrissmith5985 The show runners set him up as an example of how even the good men shouldn't be trusted, because deep down all males are bad...especially the nice guys. Although the shows writing is also pretty bad, Cole is a man with actual combat experience...so all the PTSD and disregard for human life that comes with it. He also got screwed over by Rhaenyra and then had to watch on for 10 years as she whored around the castle with some other man.

@@Waywind420 Rhaenyra didn't screw Cole over, she owed him nothing. She was doing her duty, by becoming Queen and not running away with him. She was still prepared to have romantic relations with him, but it wasn't good enough for him. Also, she wasn't whoring around - she slept with one man, that's hardly a whore. 😂😂 He put himself in that messy situation. Also, being bitter and awful because you got rejected is pathetic. He's a horrible person. 😂 Also, commenting on how all males are bad, is not true. There are some great men in the world - real gentleman. Sorry if you haven't experienced those people.

For the first time watching the Cole vs Daemon scene at Driftmark, I realised Criston is the one stopping Daemon. I urge you to watch the scene properly. When Alicent is draws the blade and everyone spurred into action Cole only has eyes for Daemon. With the shot that's overlooking everyone from the top, you can tell Daemon is clearly heading towards the women and Criston is charging at him. you can see that Daemon is the one that's surprised when Cole bashes into him. Also, when you think about it, Alicent is his charge in this scene and she is the clear danger in that room in that moment. He wouldn't have had to dash at the women anyway. His charge is the one causing problems. He is also clearly saying 'As your protector my Queen' in a way to say, I am sworn to you, but as your protector. This is further suppoerted by Fabiens reaction, he is obviously offended in a light, fake-ish way. Damn...

i’m very curious, he says he won’t say whether his character was going to cut lucerys’ eye out or whether in that moment he refused. can someone tell me what he was going to do bc i’m really confused on what he meant by “as your protector”??
