@@rchlzbln Yeah, but it's not about Emmys. If you look at the parts he was offered after The Crown, he was not A-list. In terms of raw talent - yes, but not in terms of every producer and director dreaming of booking him for a major project. He had so many moments of brilliance in The Crown, it hurts. It's his control over his own genius that he has acquired that will help him with this transition. He is too perfect now to be ignored.

matt smith deserves to be a household name after doing an incredible job in a show that is poised to be another worldwide hit.

Daemon Targaryne is already iconic character and one of fan favorites. Complex and chaotic but intriguing and fascinating character. Matt Smith did so well portraying him, voice tone, body language, facial expressions, eyes, the way he delivered lines.

I saw the dancing scene first and decided to watch the movie based on that. WOW was I disappointed by the rest of the movie lol

well as much as i love kit harrington's acting and think jon snow was an iconic character, Daemon targaryen is in a league of his own. the character itself is very well written and matt has been doing an excellent job to portray him, he is successful in not making daemon jon snow 2.0 but rather a new entity of his own

Jon snow of the book is great but I didn't like how they turned him to an emo boy in the series and Kit Harrington wasn't a great actor compared to other casts anyway but we liked him as Jon

Matt Smith charisma has always been through the roof but since HotD he is just positively beaming, radiating with positive energy.

As someone who was never interested in Game of Thrones and haven’t watched not even one episode... i saw some stills this man got me intrigued and now i’m watching House of the Dragon because of him! He’s such an incredible actor!! He demands your attention in every scene! I hope he gets bigger movie roles in the future!

You should watch GoT. One of the best shows ever made. I don’t care what people say about the end. Even though it was a bit fumbled and rushed it’s still an absolute epic and 100% an amazing ride. Any real fan would tell you it’s worth every second.

Sincerely doubt he missed all the online discourse and the praise for his performance. He may not have had the screen time Paddy Considine has had, but he delivered an excellent and memorable performance as this character.... His version is as iconic as the character from the book, and imo it's the most realized version of the character.... Even though his motives and actions remain to be things we can speculate on ...

Matt Smith is so freaking awesome asDaemon targaryen. Honestly is the most iconic characters ever.

​@@ComandaKronikk I like Ewan as Aemond and he is good young actor. But you can't compare him with Matt Smith who have much more versatile and experience as actor. Daemon is still the most iconic character in the show, the most talked about, the most debatable. Aemond is still intriguing though.

Yes!! Every TV show he has done is Amazing! But sadly the films I have seen of his end up being quite poor although saying that I did enjoy Pride and Prejudice the zombie one he was in with Lily James and really liked Last Night in Soho mostly because I love Edgar Wrights films but also the Psychological thriller genre is very interesting to me. The Terminator film he did with Emilia Clarke was alright but i still enjoyed it as I loved those films growing up.

This interview was so chill. Like a convo between friends. Brilliant

What a man! I am so happy he receives such attention and love worldwide, he deserves it! And don't know how anyone can see him as unattractive - his charisma alone can sweep you of your feet. 🥰 And he knows he could charm the hell out of you, which makes things even better 😀. The manners, the humour, the honesty and kindness when he speaks about his colleagues (at least he sounds so), the talent, playfulness, and my god - the voice 😊! 100 out of 10 😀

Yep,that what makes someone attractive.He is more than a pretty face,Someone can be really pretty but to lack charm and dont have any characther .They are just like a souless doll. He is unique and that is very good think . I think a person would feel safe around Matt.He get that feelings its like you know him from ages.I gives vibes that he would be a very good partner and a father.And im jelous of the woman who manage to capture his heart ,becuase he is nice.And i wish people to find a partner would make them feel safe,loved and good.

Matt Smith is a great actor. But I wasn’t 100% sold on him being Daemon when he was first cast, but it is now clear that he was the perfect choice. Hopefully he starts getting casted in some amazing movies from now and he wins some well deserved awards.

How can you not Love him! Such a phenomenal actor that deserves more recognition than he deserves!

I was doubting Matt at First for Daemon...but OMG is He PERFECT!!! He had a Heath Ledger as Joker Effect on me, which i doubted in this Role at first too. But they blew me away! Matt is Daemon and NOBODY could be a better one! And Matt seems such a cute, likeable Person, what makes it even more a pleasure to watch him. 😍

Matt Daemon Targaryen :) Became an icon of HOTD right in the first episode. Also Graham McTavish is a great actor, his Dougal MacKenzie in Outlander is unforgettable, I wish he had a larger role in HOTD.

Ironic how the Doctor who was least known before he started on the show is now arguably the most successful Doctor career wise! The (Time) Lord of TV... now we just need to secure him some kickass movie roles!

Josh is an excellent interviewer. He and Ali Plumb, besides looking quite similar lol have a really natural, laid-back, down-to-earth style about them, that has a great ice breaking effect, when talking to even the most famous, (or sometimes infamous,) people. The celebrities seem to actually enjoy them, in what I can only imagine can become rather grinding press junket days, promoting whatever work at the time. Which makes it that much more entertaining to watch. 👍 As opposed to what some interviewers do, resorting to cringey games, or asking the _same_ questions we've all already seen them answer a thousand times in interviews

There’s one thing that ALL the movie stars/actors are not that Matt is…Daemon Targaryen. I can’t see anyone touching his performance. It is mic drop worthy. This is his moment and it is glorious!!

I love this man. So humble and down to earth after all his successes. He has good friends, too, who keep him grounded.

Matt, this is by far the best memorable role that you have acted in. You play this character and make him come alive as a fan favorite depraved villain! Love it 💕

I love the thought put into the filming of these, rather than cutting back and forth you are provided a dedicated feed to each participant. At first I thought the black line in the middle insinuate it is a remote interview, but at about 0:27 in Matt kicks his foot out and fixes a cuff and you see his hand and foot on Josh's side of the screen, and at 26:27 they bro-shake. As well thought out as the questions, well done!
