if gukesh wins today and saturday, then he will take the championship. if hikaru can draw his final games and win today then he can have a chance. based on the upcoming games, we can see a tie between hikaru and gukesh with maybe nepo ( on last games he can draw against all 3) if he can beat 1 of the players he need to face.

I think the title of this video is misleading. The phrase "If you don't win" meant "If you don't win (your game)" and not "If you don't win (1st Place)". He simply means that in a KO format you can draw most of your games and be happy as long as you don't loose and win eventually in tie breaks. This is not the case in the candidates.
