Congratulations to Tan Zhongyi. I have to say that the translating girl is amazing. She translated really accurately and completely, with minimal paraphrasing.

Sagar is such an amazing interviewer. Despite the language barrier, the interview was really good. (ofcourse with the help of the translator ,but still) Good job ❤❤
after the interview ended, i saw that I was smiling too. Her smile during the whole interview just build the happiness Inside me, All the best Tan Zhongyi, for the World championship.
Both Tan and Gukesh come from either side of the age spectrum and both have shown that age doesn’t matter in these important tournaments in chess - if you set your mind to it you can win whether you are in your teens or your 30s ❤👏👏👏✨

Asians are mostly down to earth and very humble, being at the peak, success, fame or popularity nothing affects their sweet demeanor! Love to see more such humble personalities at the Top. Congratulations Tan🎉 Hope she wins the WC! Best wishes ❤
She is such a fierce player behind that calm and composed personality, it's amazing.
What a great player and a coach..she is a mentor at her own academy and mentoring China's best players..what a great personality
9:36 that "haan" from Tan ... shake head a Little and say aan is universal
I just saw this video and already became fan because of her simplicity and honest answers.
Another beautiful interview. But wow my respect for her just skyrocketed. Not only she is a player a worldclass one at that but on top of that she is coaching so many kids at the same time BIG W!❤️
9:23 her smile is infectious
She’s so likeable! Biggest congratulations to her and best of luck for the wcc!
I like Zhongi Tan.❤
Even Hou Yifan started coaching students at a young age. I was curious about how easy it is for women Chinese chess players to get sponsors given that chess is not very popular there. It is commendable how they still produce so many top-level players.

China has women chess champion in 1991 by the name xei jun. She is the reason for the chess boom just like it was anand for India. And in China they have chess league or something that produce this competitive players.
Nobody gave her chance before the tournament, Goryachkina, Vaishali and Lei Tingjie were people's favorites, she did amazing
Tan Zhongyi is a very strong player love to see her future games 😇
I just love her demeanor so calm and cute and super smart 🙏

Thanks a lot for such great interview!! 🤩Huge congrats to Tan Zhongyi!!🎉🎉 And we really need to give a lot of praise to the translator, Tan has been at the top for a very very long time, but I learned more about her personality in this event than in all the previous ones combined (which made me even more of a fan :), all thanks to the wonderful job of the translator and to channels like yours, who then could talk to her.
Tan is 32 and looks 17. Gukesh is 17 and looks 32. Both share the same birthday, crazy
Congrats to her

Although, relatively fewer people would watch this but this was one of your best interviews Sagar. I especially appreciated the questions being brief

I wish our players also speak in their mother tongue rather than English wherever they go to play. I wished for Humpy or Vaishali to win but they peaked quite late. A India vs China on both sections of the World Championship would have been epic!!

i wonder how did Lei Tingjie not win the tourney this time ?? she is a gun player.
What is the background of the translator? Think she did a good job.
She is extraordinary, but facing Ju Wenjun won't be easy. She is far stronger than most chess players. Her peek was 2604 absolute elite regardless of gender. Tan Zhongy peek is 2530. Ju Wenjun deep was the product of the pandemic.

For once, Chinese players have a (very nice) interpreter.
If at all there are any women who can match men in chess it has to come from the Chinese.
Next time India will win in female category
