9:20 There is NOTHING annoying about asking questions. NASCAR fans are happy that a new viewer has enough interest to ask questions!

I'll be honest as a NASCAR fan, it felt very authentic. They didn't go out of their way to create drama, they just let the storylines speak for themself. And I think it was better for it.

The reason they do single car qualifying on superspeedway a is so another car doesn’t get a draft and an advantage

I'm glad you're enjoying it so much! Yes, the playoff system is very confusing to new fans (even some long term fans don't really like the playoff system, it is fairly controversial.) I'll do my best to explain it. - First off, there is a point system like F1. - The Playoff grid is made up of the top 16 drivers at the end of the regular season. - The regular season is made up of 26 races. - If you win a race, you are automatically qualified for the playoffs, no matter how many points you have. - Points you earn after that only affect what place you'll be in when the playoffs start. - Drivers that do not win races are placed in the Playoffs after winners to fill out the grid. As an example, if there were 10 different winners, the 6 remaining drivers would be the top 6 in points that did not win. - The Playoffs are the last 10 races of the season (bringing the total number of races in a NASCAR season to 36). - This is split into 4 distinct rounds, the Round of 16, Round of 12, Round of 8, and Championship Race. - The Round of 16 is 3 races, the same rules as the regular season apply (win and you move on, then the next drivers in points fill out the rest of 12) this means the bottom 4 at the end of this round are eliminated. - This format repeats 2 more times until 4 are left. - Those 4 drivers then compete in that last race, a winner take all where the highest finisher of those 4 wins the championship. Don't worry nobody will judge you for being confused, even hardcore NASCAR fans agree that it is confusing.

There’s also playoff points. A win gives you 5 playoff points and a stage win gives you 1 playoff points, as well as finishing in the top 10 of regular season points gives you a varying number. These are the only points that carry over round by round until the championship. At the start of each round, you begin with however many playoff points you have, meaning some teams will have a buffer before the rounds begins. In the championship race, all points are irrelevant and whichever driver finishes the highest is the champion.

@@suzi_greavesand Suzi here's how the NASCAR playoffs work 16 drivers 10 races the NASCAR playoffs are decided into 4 rounds the round of 16 and the round of 12 and the round 8 and you have to win or get on points that you earned in the regular season to make it into the next round but if you have a bad race and you don't win the 3 races in each round your out same thing in the round of 12 and the round 8 and then it's the championship race only four drivers have a chance of winning the championship race in Phoenix but that driver has to finish higher than the other 3 drivers to win the championship.😊

10:33 it’s alright. NASCAR fans are pretty laidback crowd. While we take our racing seriously we don’t take ourselves too seriously. I appreciate watching your reactions to NASCAR and asking questions. As a fan of F1 and NASCAR I like seeing the crossover.

As a real die hard Cup Series fan, (NASCAR SANCTIONS MANY SERIES) this show SUCKED! It only focuses on the last 11 races! It doesn’t really bring new people up to speed on Cup racings history! It also doesn’t cover the problems with the new car! It doesn’t cover Chase missing races due to his injury & one race suspension! I doesn’t cover Alex Bowman getting hurt! It fallows the two most hated drivers! The one that aired on USA Network for the 2022 season was far better than this!

"watch me get a shirt, not even watch NASCAR, just because it looks cool" Thats what a lot of people do here in the states loo. Vintage racing stuff has been trendy lately. Also welcome to the NASCAR world! If you have discord I have a big NASCAR server you could join if you wanted some guidance on your journey.

@@suzi_greavesif you want to learn Cup racing, then watch old races on KZread from last century! Can’t say this enough, NASCAR is a sanctioning body like FIA is for F1! Real fans like myself will call this racing what it is, Cup Series or just Cup!

Qualifying in NASCAR last season was in two groups A and B (groups were and still are set based on performance of the car and driver in the previous event), each car would get one lap on their own. Top 5 fastest in each group would then get another lap on their own to set the top 10 and attempt to get the pole. places 11-40 would be set based on the qualifying times in groups A and B. It was found that group B would get an unfair advantage because they would go after group A who started with a fresh track that often had little to no rubber set in. Group B would then qualify on a track with a lot more grip and commonly got faster times. NASCAR changed it so now everywhere, except Daytona, Atlanta, and Talladega, Group A sets the outside line for positions 11-40 and Group B sets the inside line. positions 1-10 are still handled the same way as before with the fastest 5 from A and B advancing to set the top ten. At Atlanta, Talladega, and the summer Daytona race the qualifying rules have remained the same as last year.

300 KPH or 200 MPH. Do not know if you read the comments, but if you do, please look for this video. Austin Dillon's Coke Zero 400 crash. Now after you watch that one type in the same words but ad this Front row view. Someone sitting in the stands filmed him crashing into the fence close up.
