They’re two unrelated incidents. This seems to be a broken rail, the 1 train last week was probably human error.

Busy dealing with city issues. The MTA reports to Albany, not city hall.

I waited half an hour for the Manhattan bound F train 7:45 this morning on the Avenue X station. I saw a lot of MTA crew walking about very busy, trying to fix something. They said it was a signal problem. I think the problem started even before the derailment happened.

I worked in the subway 30 years as a track worker. There were derailments during the Giuliani years too. Just because the Mayor is from one party or another doesn’t mean things aren’t going to break….

I am 45 you know how many of these I have seen because this is the oldest subway system IN THE WORLD and in 2019 it had in total 88 million people in the city tourists including. Of course it will happen it makes sense that it does. what is wrong with people are they running on the speed of slow.
