It's really beautiful, I didn't know borax could do that. Does the heating and borax solution keep the copper from oxidizing? I like the music change when you brought out the fire. 😂

How deeply does the red color penetrate? If you sand too much, will you get back down to bare copper again?

A mandrel is basically the same shape, for the same purpose, but you have to tap it down with a hammer to stretch it.
