The cleaning is always the most time consuming part, but what a joy to see a finished piece. I was disappointed to see you quench it though, so dangerous, you could have lost the whole piece quenching silver like that.

Beautiful.. but very labor intensive! I’ve made this technique, using silver & copper Metal Clay; much easier for this technique. Thanks for showing; I definitely appreciate learning where this technique originated!!!

Great job, like it very much. my question: how long do you heat the MG parts with gas torch, and what kind of gas torch. I tried several times, but my flame is to cold.

Thank you Propane gas and wind pressure. Enclose the area tightly to prevent heat from escaping. There is no choice but to confirm with your eyes that the metal melts You have to learn the timing by doing it dozens or hundreds of times. it will be a very difficult task

Pattern like an annual ring of a tree
Interesting as you let your steel tongs go into the acid instead of using copper ones, and you have copper on the inside of the ring rather than silver. Using silver would avoid sweat reacting with the copper and contaminating skin

ご視聴ありがとうございます。 そうなんですよね、ちゃんと結合されていないと剥がれてしまうのです。 こればかりは、何百、何千とくっつく瞬間を目で見て感覚で覚えるしかないです。 くっつく瞬間は金属の結合部分がキラッと光るタイミングがあるのです。 あとは、火を当てる前に金属の油分などをちゃんと取り除く、板を平らにして 隙間をなくすことです。

I mainly use dilute sulfuric acid.
Moku texture is not strong enough... :( But still a nice ring.
