If you have ever spent time on Staten Island o know these guys she interviews are EXACTLY how the folks living there really are.
Thank you, Costa! Finally someone adressing the injustice towards the original habitants of America! There should be much more of this!

It is hysterical to be in Manhattan and watch people get livery rides. Somebody leaves a building, hails a cab, and is off to their destination in a snap. Meanwhile, folks that use companies like Uber are waiting, asking all the cars that slow down, "Are you Bob?"; "Are YOU Bob?"; "ARE YOU BOB?" In my experience, cabs are much more efficient. AND they all know where addresses in Manhattan are without relying on problematic digital directions. You rock, cabbies!

You have changed my life. Thank you. I have been looking for ways to change the opinions of those closest to me, and they (of course) don't trust "the media". The way you delivered the stop and frisk segment was enough for me to be able to show them and for them to at least listen to. For once. It made me realize that the way I am trying to "help" with the truth can be changed.
Trevor, I get that it’s a double edged sword, but sometimes the hilarity and the reality are a tough pill to swallow... don’t stop.

Thats education that needs to come out like the platform youre blessed with Trevor. "What its like to be a black kid to adulthood". A taxi cab driver told me when I got to L. A. California, the cops beat you up out here the way youre dressed as a mexican or Chicana. I was thinking he was xagerrating but he wasnt. Wearing khakis with long dark hair my make up black suede shoes made me look like a chola. But that was the style in the west for us. Even white girls dressed like that. We went cruising Whittier Blvd. Because the "Lowrider" scene is magfificent & unmatched then anywhere else. And the cab driver was right cops were beating people up, & leaving youung people & girls walking home alone. Arresting anyone at random. But noone knows what its like unless youre a person of color. Especially juvenile aged persons of color. So keep informing & teaching Trevor. Its done with intelligence not just what they call using the race card in anger. So Thank you man!!
And again I LOVE YOU Trevor Noah ❤️❤️

Nunchaku (ヌンチャク noon chya ku) talking about cultural appropriation.......just kidding, you can pronouce 'nun-chuck' 'numb-chucks' or watever you like. Ironical it's creation was believe to be due to a ban on (metal bladed) weapons by Japanese rulers on Okinawans during old times (classified as farm-tools to bypass weapon ban). Now it becomes a weapon to be banned. Ronny Chieng has a real degree of law, and graduate dip. in legal practice! He should be giving legal insights, rather than wearing spandex. Ohh, okay, he execute proper swing+side switch, he is actually able to handle nunchakus. So warning to everyone: sterotypes about Chinese Asians innately knows kungfu are true, and some may also be legally trained to serve notice. (And I am sure he knows a cousin who can to patch you up.)

Uber was a terrible business to begin with. Hence it wasn't allowed in many developed nations at first. Their entire business model is built around having drivers lose money while they risk nothing. It had to stop at some point and it will stop indefinitely too unless they're allowed to out-compete everything else again with unfair pricing. The drivers get paid cash which covers gas and frequent drivers will make their insurance back easily. But the cost of running the car is never calculated. The risk of owning that car is never calculated. It's a very scummy ordeal that preys on people who often have fallen on hard times. Being a full time Uber driver means you'll be driving your way into bankruptcy at some point or another.
@hebakhalid437

@@simmerke1111 you’re talking as if it’s a job you get stuck with. Many Uber drivers already own a car and start doing it as a secondary job.

In our small city my spouse and I have gotten to know all the taxi drivers while our car was out of commission for awhile. We don't even call the dispatcher most times, because we have several regulars we can call directly. Tourists are the ones who pay more for Uber. Sometimes they don't let us pay them, but that's Punjabi hospitality for you.

Why isn't the last bit of this video a standalone clip? Or maybe it is and I missed it. It should be if it isn't. There was so much love going down for Trevor after his piece on Palestine / Israel a few months back that the comments timed out. So, off topic, but this is the next opportunity I've had to comment. Since Palestinians have, as a final resort, adopted the South African model to eliminate Apartheid, Palestinians look to and value South African support above others. Palestinians are also confident that we [South Africans] can recognise what we are looking at. Trevor made a meaningful point in suggesting that one looks not only at the event that has taken place in Israel / Occupied Territories of Palestine [OTP], but at what took place the hour, day, week, month possibly year before. Otherwise Trevor fell into almost every trope regarding Israel / OPT's. The key point Trevor made, which was loved by just about all in the comment section, was that with greater power comes greater responsibility. Trevor has unique and far reaching power as a South African host of the Daily Show. But he did not wield it wisely nor responsibly. Mainstream television were far closer to the truth as were other commentators such as John Oliver. What went wrong? _______

This is great stuff just like a lot of other stuff produced by the daily show. The problem: everyone who is watching this post already agrees with its argument. The whacks who need to hear/see this, probably never will. Something needs to be figured out to help spread the truth.
I had to get a taxi in my city a while ago and I asked the driver why he didn't just drive for Uber. Seeing as though the returns are better, the hours are to your choosing etc.,? "I wouldn't drive for them. I'm a professional". I just sniggered. It took twenty minutes for him to arrive. He stunk of body odour, his company shirt was done up on the wrong button holes and the car was grubby. Oh, and it was x3 the price of an Uber ride.
