Ey Iran (Persian: ای ایران, [ʔej ʔiːˈɾɒːn]) is an Iranian nationalist song that is regarded by some the country's unofficial national anthem. The music was composed by Ruhollah Khaleghi, and the lyrics were written by Hossein Gol-e-Golab.
"Ey Irān" was composed in 1944 in Tehran. The lyrics were written by Hossein Gol-e-Golab, and the music was composed by Ruhollah Khaleqi. The song was first performed and recorded by the classical Persian music singer Gholam-Hossein Banan.
Gol-e-Golab was inspired to write the song by his patriotism. He was quoted as saying: "In 1944, the footsteps of the invading armies in the streets were enough to rattle any patriot and inspired me to write this anthem. Professor Ruhollâh Kâleqi wrote the music and despite all the political opposition, it found its way into the heart and soul of the people."
For decades, many groups and singers have performed "Ey Irân". Among the most popular renditions is a 1991 version arranged for voice, choir and orchestra by Golnuš Xāleqi, the daughter of Ruhollâh Kâleqi. In this version, the vocal soloists were Rashid Vatandust and Esfandiar Gharabaghi.

Well if you carefully look at the national emblem also shown in the video for this anthem then you will see that the shield has four sections, each representing core national symbols of Iran. Among them is the Zulfiqar (sword of Imam Ali) which is obviously a religious symbols relating to Islam.

@یاسین کاظمی I'm not British, nor Soviet. And honestly, I think they shouldn't have invaded you. Iranian shah welcomed Polish refugees in his country. He provided us with food and shelter after hard times of slavery spent in USSR. He allowed Polish soldiers to settle there for some time. I think that was after Operation Y, but it was also after the agreement between Polish Government in Exile and Soviet Union. So yeah. There was help from your side

What? Iranians are not and have never been enemies with Israelis. The regime's islamic arab born men can go f themselves. They're the enemies of everyone, most of all of the Iranian people themselves. People of Iran actually empathize with Israelis a lot since we got so much in common namely arabs as the enemies and having been affected by dictatorships and wishing islam never existed. People think this song is about shah, but no, this song was written when Soviets and Brits invaded Iran, the poet saw their flags waving from military headquarters so he wrote this song. This is about Iran not shah not monarch not Republic just Iran and this also was national anthem under Imam Khomeini for few months after revolution 🇮🇷

This song is so beautiful. Just a song about your country and people, regardless of which regime is ruling. From the Sassanids to the Ayatolah, this song could be sang and celebrated.
Long live Iran, my beautiful motherland, no matter ethnic background, Kurd, Azeri, Baloch, Persian, Turkmen, etc. we are all children of Iran. The story behind lyrics: The Anglo-Soviet invasion of Iran and the resultant occupation resulted in the hurt of the national pride of many. One day the author sees a British soldier slap an Iranian soldier who had a higher rank in the face but the Iranian soldier could do nothing. This broke his heart so he went home and wrote this anthem.
I'm from Uttarpradesh state, India and my great grand father use to write Farsi in his diary entry and I love Iranian geography, people and culture 🦁💖🐯
