While this song may seem a little mellow it is a testament of the power of 2 voices & 1 guitar. It's as naked as it can get for an artist. Pure talent , no hiding behind walls of distortion & heavy drums. The band wanted a Simon & Garfunkel type feel from the 60's when this type of thing was popular. This band is so much more than this song how ever. A grossly under rated & over looked band. How many artist today would have the balls to try a song like this. No autotune just vocals & guitar.

Im so glad you reacted to this song, brings back memories when i was only 12 in 1991. Another memory for me about this song is a sad one, in 1997 my cousin was dying of leukemia and this was his favorite song to play and we both played guitar. One day while in the hospital his life and body was fading fast so i took it upon myself to grab my guitar and head to the hospital and play this song for him before he passed, and the thing i will always remember is that as i was playing and singing this song to him while he was unconscious, his heart beat started to rapidly change and gained speed. It was then i knew that he could hear me and the doctors were amazed what was happening. I will never forget the tears coming oit of his eyes as they were closed and i was so honored to have played this for him at the time. A few hours later he passed and i was able to sing and play this song for him once again at his funeral. Miss you bro!!!

I love her expression when Nuno Bettencourt raises his head and she gets the full facial shot. He blows me away too. He is too beautiful.

A lot of ladies felt the same as you about Nuno Bettencourt back in the day! But he wasn’t just a pretty face. He was a master on the guitar and he had a great voice too, as you saw in this video. This song is iconic for both the amazing harmonies and for the guitar structure. Many guitar teachers have used this song to show their pupils as an excellent example of how to use chords with finger picking.

These hair "metal" bands always had their love ballads. Looking back now they were just boy bands geared towards girls and women with the glamour bad boy look. I can see that they worked their magic on you here haha. You always get that look on your face, which is priceless. Extreme has so many rocking tunes it's hard to choose.

Nuno is also a very funky great guitarist. Check out their song called "Rest in Peace" is really cool and not mushy! This song is perfect for these times.

Extreme are a much more rocking band than this song represents with amazing harder songs. Just like Mr Big, with to be with you. Another rock band only remembered for thier acoustic hits. Both bands are so much more than they are recognised for with two of the most amazing guitar players on the planet.
