Express Train Pattaya to Bangkok (4K) | Riding the SRT Eastern Line
Good Day my fellow travellers. Most travellers take a bus or a taxi from/to Pattaya to Bangkok. I decided to take the train this time. There are 2 trains. Monday to Friday you have a non airco local train that takes 4 hours. But I decided to take the Express train that has Airco and leaves every Saturday and Sunday.
So how was this trip. I guess you have to watch the video. Please Enjoy.

It would take the rapid train three and a half hours to travel from Bangkok station (Hua Lamphong) to Pattaya. But in that three and a half hours the train spent more than an hour inside Bangkok. If you board the train from Hua Mark Station which connects with the Airport Rail Link and MRT Hua Mark, it only takes two and a half hours. and it would cost you only 29 baths. Thai people call the Rapid train "หวานเย็น" meaning Sweet and chill because it stops at every station along the way but it is so cheap. you can Broad the Express train at that station too, and it only take 2 hours, instead of 2 and a half hours.

Yes it is!!
You are right. I felt so tired taking the bus from Ekkamai to Pattaya last time. Looking at the traffic just made me dizzy. And the expressway is not comfortable to drive on. I would try the express train next time I go there.

It is a lot more comfortable. Sadly it only goes in the weekend 1x a day. At least for now.

It's definitely a cheap ride. To bad it's only in the weekend and 1 times a day. And you do need additional transportation when you want to get to pattaya station. Unless you really crazy like me and walk for a hour in the hot sun.

Now that you mention it... I don't think there was. Can't be 100% sure. Luckily I didn't had to use one.

Probably. It's a BR Class 158 "Express Sprinter". I rode on that model once, with SWR in Southampton
