    Thanks boss, this was helpful as I couldnt figure out the difference between the "porch" and the "first class" other than the price. I dont need to be drinking during a movie, but admittedly, I always did enjoy the movies I watched when I did sneak in a drink. I was a lot younger when I last did that lol, but I think you can get adult beverages with these tickets?

    Thank you for the video. My question is, when you make that left turn at time 16:12 and go down the road before making a U turn to head back, is that what the baht bus normally does? So if I wanted to go from Na Jomtien to Pattaya that turn around road is where I would catch the baht bus? Reason why I ask is that recently I took the baht bus from Pattaya to Jomtien the same route as you show, but the driver stopped at about the 16:00 part of the video and told everyone to get off. So I was confused what happened and where to catch the baht bus to go to Pattaya from Na Jomtien.

  • @cheapworldtraveller
    @cheapworldtravellerАй бұрын

    It probably depends on the driver. I never took the bus myself to the end point. But I did observe it for a while. Most busses are empty when they arrive, but occasionally there was 1 still with passengers, but they went even further. They probably negotiated with the driver to take them further. I never saw passengers actually get on the turn around. It just makes sense to me you can get in at there. It's like 100m to the beach from there. What would be the difference. Anyway of you really want to be sure, just walk to the beach. Good for your daily steps 😅

    Why not take the free shuttle bus between the two stations? One of the reasons (not the main reason) that Hualamphong was (nearly) closed for most of the trains are....cars. Yes, the problem is that there are a lot of level crossings when train starts from Hualamphong, and always when a train comes it caused a traffic jam at these level crossings. So the aim was to reduce these times. But also more important is the future high velocity train network. Krung Thep Aphiwat is prepared for that already. May be one day Lisbon - Singapore by high velocity train becomes a reality (of course when that crazy man in the Kremlin is away...).

  • @cheapworldtraveller
    @cheapworldtraveller2 ай бұрын

    I didn't even know there was a shuttle bus. There are no signs that point to one. I know the new station is designed for more passengers, high speed rail etc. So they can move all the trains to there no problem. Just convert the existing track to a light rail. Don't priorities cars over public transport. That's just and excuse to get more traffic jams. Don't replace it permanently with busses.... they get stuck in traffic jams.

  • @hassanalihusseini1717
    @hassanalihusseini17172 ай бұрын

    @@cheapworldtraveller I even used the shuttle bus on the very first day after opening (19-01-2023). I am a train lover, and I would prioritise trains over cars always....but you cannot ignore the reality in Bangkok. There are a lot of cars.... You are sounding like somebody from a priviliged Western country. But please.... do not apply your home rules to other countries, especially when you call yourself "worldtraveller".

    I forget to mention a few things. First the Audio. This was fine, nothing wrong with it. The screen however had a death pixel. There was a constant blue pixel that was very distracting. At last the floor. It is a concrete floor and although they mixed it was something so it didn't look to ugly, I didn't like it.

    It would take the rapid train three and a half hours to travel from Bangkok station (Hua Lamphong) to Pattaya. But in that three and a half hours the train spent more than an hour inside Bangkok. If you board the train from Hua Mark Station which connects with the Airport Rail Link and MRT Hua Mark, it only takes two and a half hours. and it would cost you only 29 baths. Thai people call the Rapid train "หวานเย็น" meaning Sweet and chill because it stops at every station along the way but it is so cheap. you can Broad the Express train at that station too, and it only take 2 hours, instead of 2 and a half hours.

    I have just seen your video. I am Dutch, but have been living in Sri Lanka for 18 years. I am interested in comparing Dutch items, culture and villages, as well as towns and cities with Sri Lanka. I discovered that regarding size, Zoetermeer is comparable with the Sri Lankan city of Kandy (around 125.000 inhabitants). It would be nice to have a video of both cities to see the comparisons and the differences. However, your video was taken during the corona time and the places of interest were not quite attractive. I am interested in the architecture, urban planning, the old village centre and why Zoetermeer has exploded in size during the last 50 years. I will try to make a video of Kandy. If you could make another, more interesting video of Zoetermeer, that would be so nice
