Yes he is one of many greats but my personal favorite. Wish he would come out of retirement and get back out there it's in his blood. Peace.......... Great video on Warrens story.

Warren will always be one of my favorites. I can honestly say in my top 3. I first heard of RATT through record store talk in Ft. Wayne, The Wooden Knickel. It was back in either 83 or 84. I flew to El Paso to see a friend. RATT was playing at a club called the APPLE. After seeing him play live, I was blown away and have been a fan ever since. I can play RATT songs but I have never been able to play like him... lol. You can have a group of guys play the same song through the same gear and not have them sound alike... You can pick Warren's chops out blind folded :)

I had the pleasure of seeing RATT at the old Capitol Center in Landover MD. Poison opened and CC Deville definitely played a great show, he was the king of arpeggios for sure. Warren D came out and played exactly what I needed to hear and how the guitar is meant to be played.

Detonator was a great album! It had a slightly different "feel" than their previous albums, especially Reach for the Sky. I did enjoy Reach for the Sky but, (IMO) most of it didn't have that melodic and harmonic flow that really set RATT apart from others. I've been a RATT fan since I was 14, have every cassette/CD they recorded and will ALWAYS love me some RATT-N-ROLL!

Warren was a true prodigy. The thing that separated Ratt from the rest was their dual-axe attack played in perfect sync, or with one on acoustic and another on lead guitar. Their guitars were instantly known, no matter the song back then. King Crosby did a good job keeping up with Warren when needed, until his health declined. I really miss those days.

But thats Warrens style of roll with his fingers i like it better than Van Halens style notice Warren keeps it tight while Eddie VHs is more loose all over the place..both great but i just preffer Warrens style
