Exploring the Very Upper reaches of the Roanoke River

In this short Video I explore the Headwaters of the Roanoke River. This was Taken on the North Fork of the Roanoke River ~15 miles west of Roanoke, Virginia and here it is so small I can easily cast accross it.

Thanks for sharing. I always thought of it ending at the dam to Roanoke Rapids lake which I have reached.

Mack, what kinds of fish are in that upper section? I'd guess smallmouths, rock bass, shnfish, and maybe even largemouth--any trout in there or is it not cold enough?

rock bass and a few smallies and chubs. they do stock trout in certain sections but they dont survive the summer.
Catch any trout and smallies?

It was a rough weekend. i only caught 1 smallie and lost a good one.
