This is by far the best video done of the northern section. For the first time, I have a better understanding of the area. In the past, most toured the oldest section, and the city center. And maybe a few quirky spots. I thought the whole area looked like the oldest section. Thank you so much for clarifying. And the video production and background music were lovely. My son does this type of work at the university level and I see good work all the time, and your work really is good. By all means, carry on. Blessings.

You took me through my old stomping ground - well that of my parents. They had a place since 2003 in the Royal Oak section of Springdale. I miss visiting The Villages. Since their passing going down wouldn't have the same allure. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. My favorite section is the North and agree with you on the setback advantages and beautiful drive of the North. Advantages of an older developed area! The length and coverage in the video was spot-on. Thanks for giving others a ride through the Villages.

Great video. I still have not been to Spanish springs so it was nice to see what's all around there. I had no idea it was that close to lake Sumter. The length is great. I get to watch while doing my cardio at the gym and it's much better than the garbage on tv. Thanks for doing this.

Around the Nancy Lopez golf course and country club there is a Bald Eagle nest, Great Horned Owls, and exotic birds in the driving range pond such as a seasonal flock of White Pelicans, some herons, egrets, and a lot of ducks. Interesting to see all the wildlife and nature in the area! The wildlife is mostly around the multi-modal golf and bike and walk path up the center where the electric high tension poles are.

@@TheVillagesChief The Bald Eagle nest is up in a high tension power line tower just a bit South of the Lopez golf course driving range pond on the multimodal path. There is a pretty huge but not too often used Osprey nest near the fire department building in the Mulberry area - not the Eagle nest. BTW - pelicans are mostly Jan. Feb. March but some have in the past stayed all year but not the huge numbers. Also there are Wood Storks there sometimes. Enjoy!

I definitely like the older established area like Spanish Springs! I listen to a couple others from the Villages and they also said more land between the homes in the North end a f I think it’s beautiful there! Less traffic and less people the better imho! I loved his...I finally got an idea...I live in middle of nowhere out west and I want some shopping..this looked like here was some..in several areas and i loved the mossy trees and that you were close to really nice places to eat as well as the cozy square type places..I really appreciated a drive with a rather new resident and someone who was not a realtor...one needs that perspective as well.

Great video! I tried to follow along on the Villages app, but it won't work. It wants to find me but I'm in Virginia!😂 so I tried to follow along on Google maps. Mostly that worked. The neighborhood labels aren't on it but shops and restaurants are. I love the northern area of The Villages. It's so beautiful. Can't wait for our lifestyle visit. Just booked for October!!🎉

Hey Chief! I really enjoy your videos 😃 Have just watched a few… really great riding with you here, great shooting/video! I also love how soothing your voice is 😊 I’m a Miami, FL native, so totally get what you mean re: no hills/mountains (ref. to your other vid re: pros & cons to living there) I, too, hate seeing the power lines & towers/antennas everywhere, but LOVE the warm weather, always draws me back to living here in FL… & the lifestyle, ability to see my skin & feel the elements (instead of being bundled up in layers for months out of the year). I visited the Villages a few years ago & toured for a day with a Realtor there, looking for me & my father who was an avid golfer. I also loved the N Spanish area best, so thanks for sharing & reminding me of it! I’m almost 57 & thinking to visit again soon & do a Lifestyle visit. Although re: full time living there - I do also remember feeling as though I didn’t like how “manufactured” it all seemed & will also be checking out around the Orlando. Maybe see you around the hood!

Loved this tour of the north side of The Villages. I did not think the video was too long. I'm visiting The Villages this week for the first time in almost 2 years, staying in the Village of Summerhill just north of 466. Although I enjoyed my visit to the south end of The Villages and seeing the Sawgrass Grove area for the first time earlier this week, I think I would still rather buy a home north of Lake Sumter Landing...I like the variety of shopping & dining the areas south of 44 do not yet have. Hoping there is not a huge price jump in the next 19 months until my planned retirement date. I look forward to your other driving tours of the rest of TV.

I’m glad I watched this video. I think I actually had a less than favorable opinion of the “north” always hearing about it being old. But I love mature trees, especially the massive shade trees. Definitely find it pretty appealing to consider in the future. Good job! I really like the Spanish Springs section and all the available shopping is definitely a plus.

Thanks for filming this video! Beautiful. I just heard about TV yesterday and found your channel today, binge watching them all now. Questions: I’m 50 and thinking about my future…do The Villages allow home-based businesses because I’ll still need to work? I also ride a motorcycle and want to join up in some group there, that possible? Could you get a set of free-weights to workout at home? And, you mentioned polo, are there more horse stables in the area to take lessons or ride trails?

Yup you can work from home, I work from home and i’m not aware of any restrictions for homebase businesses but you might have to check your deed restriction, depending on where you live in the villages but I don’t think it’s a problem as long as semi trucks are coming to your house every day or something like that. There is a awesome Harley dealer right down the road gator Harley Davidson in Leesburg and there’s Iron Horse up in Ocalla about 15 miles away. Also within the villages there’s a motorcycle group called the nomads that meets regularly I’ve met some of the guys but haven’t joined up just due to my schedule. As far as horses go, up the road in Ocala is considered the horse capital of the world with this huge world recognized equestrian center so there are lots of horses in the area and places to learn to ride for sure as far as the polo grounds here in the villages I’m not sure if you can keep a horse there or take lessons there. It might be strictly for polo, but I’m not sure, I see the horses out there grazing all the time. Thanks for watching!

I wash my golf cart myself in the driveway, but I really enjoy washing my vehicles. I took the Jeep to the Villages car wash one time and they did a great job. It was a little to warm for gridley that day so I kept him home in the air conditioning :)

"Santo Domingo" = "Holy Sunday" Thank you for doing these videos. It really helps to get a good lay of the land! I'm from Santa Barbara, and love Spain, so I'd HAVE to live near Spanish Springs! Agree, its absolutely charming! I also LOVE the beautiful, mature trees in that area (also much like Santa Barbara!) 🌴 🌞 My only video suggestion (not a complaint): In edit, I'd run it through a filter to bring up/enhance the color/contrast a bit. Friend, everything else is perfection!

Awesome video! The "panoramic" view we get from your camera really adds to the enjoyment. I can really get a feel of what the area looks like. I currently live in Arizona but would love to move to the Villages within the next few years. Thanks for doing these! And there is nothing wrong with wearing a muscle T-Shirt :)

Can’t remember the name but it’s a good one, I was there today as a matter of fact, I live right down the road from ya and use the gym at laurel manor which is real close to you too. Polo ridge is a great area across from the beautiful polo club, you done good! Also your just down the road from Nancy Lopez Legacy and Glenview country club, two best restaurants in TV in my opinion so far, but they are both higher end I think.

Many home lots in Brazil have walls around them. Most of these walls in the "upper-crust" neighborhoods are living walls. Easy to do in a tropical environment. Thanks for these videos, they're very helpful. Keep 'em coming! I definitely have my eye on Florida in a couple more years, but you know that depends on what my fiancé says after we are married. (I'm in Virginia, she's Brazilian, so hopefully it won't take too much convincing.)

We love Publix when we go to Fort Myers Beach but our favorite one on the Island was hit hard by Hurricane Ian and it is going to reopen this summer hopefully it will be open in July when we are down there! Not too long I like long videos myself especially outdoorsy stuff very beautiful video great job!

Great video! I'm new to the north section as well. I'm so curious what your video camera was on to take video from that perspective. Sometimes the camera seemed to swivel around. Very good perspective of everything.
