The fact that both X and Saga were referenced and both of them requiring a lot of convoluted explanations/retconning to fit the Xenoblade story makes me think a reboot is the most likely outcome. That's what I'm hoping for because as much as I love both X and Saga I would much prefer a new story that combines the best ideas, characters, etc from both games in a creative way rather than trying to forcefully fit either of them into the Xenoblade story.

Something else I rarely see mentioned with regards to X’s canonicity is a line about halfway through the game where Goetia mentions that a sudden bright light had appeared over the Earths surface that engulfed the Ganglion fleet, spitting them back out on Mira. Despite this game predating XBC2, there’s was already an implication that some unexplained space-distorting phenomenon was occurring over the planet in the midst of the alien war that seemed strangely similar to Klaus’ description of his experiment.

Thank you for looking at this from a different perspective. I'm more than a little exhausted with how convinced a lot of people seem to be about one theory or another. Like at this point the only thing we have is wild speculation. Given how unpredictable the entire franchise is, I find it really funny that anyone expects us to actually be able to glean much of anything from the frankly contradictory things on the radio broadcast. Speculation is fun and there's a ton of room for it, but at this point, literally nothing we were given can be used to make definitive conclusions.

I 110% agree! The Lore from the Radio doesn't work on either side and some loops have to be jumped through to make either work. From my research on this topic, I personally took the view that there would be many more hoops to get through when making Saga Canon then there would be for Xenoblade X but ultimately, it still could go either way

I can see two directions for the future of the series: Xenoblade Chronicles X 2 being the next game, with minor retcons and links added to fit it closer into the core series, followed by Xenoblade Saga 4 (Saga being a synonym of Chronicles, and being the 4th game in both Xenoblade Chronicles Core series and Xenosaga core series) Or Just jump straight into Xenoblade Saga 4, with more references and links to X added throughout the lore. I do think Saga 4 is the core direction the series is headed, but I also can clearly see it is their intention to make all the Xeno games canon to one shared universe.

3rd option, neither are canon. Takahashi does something completely new with the series in the same universe and blows our minds. I honestly would more prefer that tbh. I get that people really want to see more of the older games but I think it would be nice for Takahashi to finally be free of the chains of Perfect Works and create something he's never done before.

That super Ouroboros having parts of it's model labeled as "Ares" is VERY interesting... Personally I am split between a few options. I don't think X takes place in the same universe as Blade because if the radio scene wanted to establish an connection that did not require a lot of work arounds to make it work, it would of. Some options I believe are : Option 1 : I believe in that connects the two universes would be for X and Blade to exist in separate universes. In both worlds it is possible to travel between universes, either on accident or on purpose. Sammar would be one of the colony ships that grew into its own civilization and traveled to the X universe. In the X universe there is an Earth just like Blade, but goes down a different path and meets Elma. (Luxar speculates Earth humans are descended from Sammar, but we don't actually know. Earth humans might be parallel universe equivalents with no direct connection. If Sammarians and humans are directly connected, that would not change a lot though.) Also Nopon and telethia arrive in the X universe at some time. And Mira itself being an entirely separate can of worms. Option 2 : Reboot. Xenosaga and X references are not referring to the events we know and love, but an entirely separate set of events in the Blade universe. This requires 0 retcons, and fits in with Takahashi's MO of reimagining old ideas and turning them into something new. The radio does not line up with the canon of Saga or X because it never was meant to. In the end I'm fine with both options (which are not even mutually exclusive ;)) because an Xenoblade X2/Y or Xenoblade 4 with these ideas would be very cool.

My question though, is that he CLEARLY displays the Vector Industries logo along with mentioning Dimitryli Yuriev, and both are from Xenosaga. Even if he isn't directly linking the universes, it's possible that each game could have somehow taken place from the time that the colony fleets were sent out. It's even possible that Gears takes place during this time, since the Eldridge is a Philadelphia class ship. Thoughts?

  • @JBspherefreak

    @JBspherefreak

    Жыл бұрын

What we need to understand is that EVERYTHING from the radio scene is a mere reference. Because of that and how Takahasi writes his stories, its impossible to know at this time if the mentioned "Dmitri Yuriev" and the shown "Vector Logo" are the same ones from Xenosaga OR are new elements re-used from a previous game 🤷‍♂️ Takahashi's writing style leans into utilising a lot of elements from his previous works whether they be re-branded like the Fogbeasts or under the exact same name like the Salvators. It's entirely far to quick to judge that these re-used assets are DEFINETLY links to Xenosaga as he may be re-introducing these concepts to the Blade games. When I initially wrote the script for this video (This is draft 2), I looked into what an actual Lore accurate Xenosaga Theory could look like and it was so diffciult NOT to step on the Toes of Blade because there were so many opposing elements. Compare this to XCX and the only real issue is the Earth going boom but as I pointed out in the Theory section of this video, Future Redeemed gave us an out on how this could work and make sense. Ultimately, I decided that X would be better in my opinion but I honestly don't mind too much. If Xenosaga turns out to be Canon and X doesn't, it's not a bother and its nice that they referenced X but the main reason I made this video was for those who already ASSUME that Saga is Canon when it simply isn't. For the most part, I believe everything in that scene is merely a reference and MAY be setting up for the future

@@JBspherefreak You can simply look at the real world facts and deduce it. Does Monolith Soft and Nintendo have the rights to Xenosaga? No, not currently. Will Nintendo play nice with Bandai Namco so Xenosaga and Xenoblade Chronicles 1-3 and X can all integrate? Who knows? But the most economical conclusion is that since Nintendo has the rights to Xenoblade Chronicles X, then it's easier for them to integrate each other. There's sometimes no in game lore reason why certain things are canon or not canon, it's all really about the $$$ and who holds the rights. It's like when Marvel lost the rights to X-Men, they created Inhumans and now Marvel has X-Men back in their hands again, the Inhumans are never mentioned again. But seriously, you need to play Xenogears and Xenosaga 1-3, where Monolith had not yet seriously trimmed down their ideas and opted for the more massively appealing Xenoblade series. They could probably do it all in one game at this point, especially cutting out some of the worst parts of Xenosaga (The solo mission with Jr early in the first game, Proto Merkabah, the Immigrant Fleet vessel guarding Miltia in 2, and maybe the "time travel" segment of 3).

I agree that it's indeed a not negligeable hypothesis to make Xenoblade X work even though it seems farefetche'd but this is Xenoblade we're talking about so anything is possible really. Also the recent theory after Future Redeemed is that the end seems to imply that the two earths were actually in pocket dimensions and the experiment actually didn't destroy the entire universe. Because in what universe could the two earths appear in if they're both the entire universe then ? That could also explain how Alvis had enough power to recreate the entire universe if it was nothing more than a pocket dimension. I only know Xenosaga 1 but the same thing happened to another planet if I'm not mistaken, it was also invisible to the eye I think, the first Milithia maybe (I'm not sure anymore) ? That being said, I respectfully still believe more in the Xenosaga direction (which doesn't mean Xenoblade X couldn't become canon later on) simply for the fact that the elements in favor of Xenosaga are more numerous and obvious than they are for Xenoblade X in Future Redeemed. Whereas going for the Xenoblade X route would require making a lot of assumptions so it's easier to turn it in a desired way when for Xenosaga it's more about inconsistencies it seems. Since Takahashi explicitely said we should have a good idea after finishing Xenoblade 3 of where the series is going next, I'm inclined to believe in what seems to be the most obvious at face value without going into detail. Also I've seen someone saying the conduit in Xenoblade could be the 13th Zohar emulator and this one hasn't been found and would be a bit different from the other emulators apparently. Maybe it could be a prototype emulator so it would have been created way earlier and could have been the basis for the other emulators. Also the weird thing about the conduit in Xenoblade compared to the Zohar is that we've never seen a physical form for it. It seemed to only be a silhouette made out of light from what we've seen so far. If that's a prototype, maybe it was just concentrated energy from the Zohar itself to try to create an emulator and was stabilized in some way. That could explain the extreme instability of this prototypical Zohar emulator which could maybe be as powerful and destructive as the original one. Someone also mentioned there could just be multiple Zohars and the one from Xenosaga would just be the original one since we've seen a whole cutscene showing it appear in Xenosaga. That would allow to somehow help to make Xenogears more canon too cause there is apparently a Xenogears reference as well in what is said by the radio. The ship from Xenogears could also be from project Exodus even though there is also few inconsistences with the number of passengers which is way higher for the Xenogears' ship. That being said, I think it's okay to broadly prioritize one way more than the other. What isn't however is to completely reject one when there is no definitive official argument to invalidate it and there isn't for now.

Before I say anything, just wanted to say that this is my opinion. Gonna be honest, I believe X has way more potential being it’s own thing instead of connecting to the Klaus saga, as so much of X is so radically different from the trilogy, it’d be pretty jarring to jump from humanity’s hubris playing a heavy role in the story to aliens against humans in a malleable and bendable story to the player’s vision. While the whole topic of looking to the future does resemble 3’s message nicely, I’d say X was way more of a different idea, especially since the Klaus Saga was heavily contained as it’s own story and the references may just be references. X is supposed to be a sort of foreign new world, so to have it be the exact same world that was once destroyed would be both convoluted, and pointless, as it became the world of Bionis/Alrest, completely undermining its foreign concept. If anything, I feel like if the references in Future Redeemed were hinting at something, it was that all of these stories were going to interact with each other in some way, as a sort of nod to having Rex Elma and Shulk from challenge battle in 2 having the feeling that all life would walk toward the future hand in hand. And about Origin, it was meant to recreate the worlds, not keep them stable after the whole process of rebuilding them, since the sole reason why the two worlds recombined wasn’t because Origin made some mystical form of combining the two worlds, it’s because once the 2 worlds were reconstructed, they were made of the same types of matter, allowing them to turn into one whole world, so Origin wouldn’t be affecting the worlds after that, it only affected them within Aionios since that was the two worlds frozen in the process of collision. At least that’s my take on it. And man, this is an amazing video on xenoblade X and xenoblade 3, dude. Keep up the good work!

Appreciate the positivity 👍 I personally don't think it would feel all that contradictory to have this world that was origianlly SPLIT (Not destroyed) come back as being the Home of Mira but they're is another way to swing this if it doesn't take your fancy. Origin's main purpose was to REBUILD the worlds as you say through the Data it had accumulated so what if Origin ITSELF was the planet that became Mira. If it Malfunctioned and REBUILT the World around itself, becoming the Planet that is Mira, then this idea still works. The only tweak compared to my Theory is that instead of sealing it at the Core of the Planet, they got rid of it into space or even made it stay in its own little Pocket Dimension and then it starts sucking things in like the White Whale and the Ganglion Largely, the point I wanted to make was that Xenoblade X CAN be Canon and its not merely people coping

I think they will retcon Xenoblade X so that the “explosión” looks more like Klaus’s experiment. In Xenoblade 1, we saw how earth was reformed by Alvis after Klaus was defeated. We saw how the earth was fragmented into several pieces. They will probably retcon the Saviorite rebels, something that they never expanded upon since XC2, and merge them wilt the Ghosts and Ganglion, something that was never fully explored in XCX.

  • @pralenkaman8105

Either way we look at it there will be plotholes/retcons or a convoluted way to link the games I think the easiest way to make this as comprehensible as possible is to retcon the aliens for the events that happen in the radamanthis tower, that makes Aionios new earth and Elma could return there to see what happened to it after what Klaus did, kicking off XC4 For xenosaga, it could work if the xenoblade 1 and 2 worlds were in an alternate universe (like pocket dimensions), we know the zohar can be in multiple universes at the same time so it would make both blade and saga possible at the same time. When the 2 worlds unite to form Aionios, or in this case, lost Jerusalem, kosmos, as we see in the end of XC3FR, falls to earth kicking off XC4

Not to mention the concept art for it kind of made it out to be an amalgamation of multiple different planets and biomes, so an Origin like system could be preserving more than just the original world and Mira is acting as sort of a planetary zoo for species from throughout the universe. Also I think Luxaar mentioned that the Ganglion were engulfed in light after the Earth blew up, they were transported to Mira, and they can't escape from Mira. So it's likely Mira is in it's own pocket dimension like the worlds from the main series were. I definitely think it's likely the light at the end of Future Redeemed is the White Whale more than KOS-MOS, but there are discrepancies between that scene and Mira because Mira has a ton of moons around it, then again Earth had a ring around it in Xenosaga's version so there's discrepancies between all of them. Also I'm for them remastering Xenosaga or giving it a Definitive Edition with updated visuals and quality of life improvements. I would also like to see them incorporate more elements of it's story into future games in the series. I don't think they just named dropped Dmitri Yuriev and don't plan on doing something with Xenoblade's version of him. I definitely think we will be seeing a Xenosaga remaster and Xenoblade X Definitive Edition in the near future due to these teases and the fact that Baten kaitos got remastered recently as well. I think Xenoblade X's Definitive Edition will probably be the big showcase game for the Switch 2 when it gets announced and if Xenosaga's remaster got greenlit around the same time as Baten Kaitos we'll probably see it happen sometime next year as well. This is me being optimistic though. I definitely think they'll do something more with Xenoblade X as there's a lot more potential with the setting and the fact that they did almost nothing with the Ghosts in the first game. It is up to Bandai Namco whether or not Xenosaga sees anything done with it Though. Then again they allowed cameos for KOS-MOS and T-elos in Xenoblade 2 and there's some pretty blatant references to Xenosaga in Future Redeemed, so i think they probably greenlit the remaster at the same time Baten Kaitos got greenlit it's just taking longer since there's more games and the second game in particular kind of needs a remake more than just a remaster.

I've always maintained that Monolith chose to reference both games. Its not like they accidentally put them in there they did it intentionally. Either both are being made canon or its all non canon fan service reference. Personally I lean toward canonization since that whole radio bit was 1000% unnecessary and they KNEW what we would interpret that to mean.

Unfortunately, this is several steps beyond convoluted. A second earth is another planet they just call earth, and they get confused and think their history is earths history even though it's literally a different geological planet? Then all of human history degrades but improves in exactly the same way it happens on og earth? They then flee that world and just so happen to end up at the exact place og earth was? Like ... No way.

I wanted to comment this on the time of the video launch, but here it is: i TOTALLY(mostly) DISAGREE WITH YOU @JBspherefreak, remember that xenoblade games uses a lot of ''Gnotocism concepts'' and ''paralels'''. also, the fact you are trying to say all this happens in just 1 world/universe, when xeno 1 and 2 happens in 2 dimensions is encaging yourself. also the fact, and i think the biggest fault in a very good theory, is the need of ''Assumptions''. We need those for connecting this games, but we also need solid evidence to back up assumptions (i am from the fnaf fandom, i know about this things...unfortanely) there are way too many assumptions, but lack of support for them, and many of the support is still assumptions :V. I really admire your work, and how you really dig deep into these things, but I think you are really ''thinking small'' for xenoblade universe, especially with the ''planes'' subject, so let me (for everyone here reading, and please comment on this is having something against of for the theory) explain MY theory about how they are planning to connect ALL Xenoblades and ALLL xenosaga: (mucho texto coming here) First with xeno X: I say xeno X happens in another ''plane'' that instead of been a pocket dimension as xeno 1, this is a parallel dimensions to klaus universe. 1)A portal open to this universe (myras universe) by the activation of the conduit. This allowed some humans to be thrown to myra, BUT ALSO 2)transporting the NOPONS to the other worlds. 3)The humans that landed on myra are the saviorites. After habiting that world alongside the remaining nopons, they decided to go back to their true home: earth. 4)When that happened, the saviorites were no longer saviorites, but now are the Sammarians, decided to go back home. in the process, you explanation of them creating slaves and all that happens, likely occurring for over hundreds or even thousands of years. this came to and end when they founded planet earth, celebrating having founded their true home...just to realize that the place was NOT their home. 5)Alll the time spent searching for the world that they fight to have the right to live in, is shattered when discovered this isn't the place, and with no way of traveling dimensions (since that earth doesn't have a conduit) they reached the end of their destiny. 6) Since they can no longer go to their true home, the saviorites/sammarians decided to recreate their home. Specifically trying to make a copy of earth, all its history, its nations, its technology. And thus recreating that earth to be like their original home up to the momment they were exiled. After a lot of time, they likely were in good march for that objective, but with one main problem: themselves. They would not fit on earth, having now advanced way too much in comparison to their planned recreation of a home. 7)This is likely the reason why they dissapeared, they decided to eliminate the: human sammarians and be just humans. 8) Maybe they erased their memories to have the same level of a klaus world human or their are somehow hided (but unable to be active) until humans reach the human sammarian´s level, we dont really know. what we know is that their recreation was a success, they were able to artificially make humans go up to almost the very moment before the conduit, this was proyect exodus. 9)To this point they were already gone, just leaving the seed for the humans to finish their last big pre-conduit achievement; for what it would happen next would be a new path for that humanity. BUT, the diference between klaus universe and myra universe finally make up itself present: ALIENS. Instead using exodus to reach the stars like klaus universe's humans, they were forced at last minute to make it the means to scape the war from the SAMMAR federation and Ghost happened. maybe it was karma for creating slaves, or the universe telling these 10)foreigners that not all their plans will finish smoothly, but this was the new path for this humanity. but just before Myra's universe earth was destroyed, thousands of years since the conduit was first activated...it activated again. The end of xeno 1 and xeno 2, was the flash of light that oppened a space-time alteration and the beginning of xeno X story. 11) throwing the foreigners that orignated from the same place as the conduit near the mysterios planet Myra (who likely has a connection to the conduit), we saw the 12) lonely hero who saved the city before it crashed on the planet, who ironically was their ancestors temporal home. now for the explanations (the notes are numered): 1) The event of creating portals to many worlds is stated in game, so the idea of a parallel universe been included is plausible. also the fact they said WORLDS, not just 1 pocket dimension, since alrest is the same planet earth. 2) the nopons in xeno x have said they are native to myra, and the fact they we havent seen any nopon in klaus world could fortify this. Also, see that only humans and nopons are the species that repeat in all xeno games, if both are transported, it makes sense to both species to have that parallel. Also this can explain the strange: nopons are excluded theme XD. 3) Using the theory that myra and the conduit are related somehow, it tends to reason that the humans nearer the conduit were transported to that specific planet instead of xeno 1. And what people were near? The saviorites tryign to steal the conduit to save their human rights. We also have the scientist with klaus and Galea, but they were transformed into gods by been too near the conduit. 4)As the video theory explained, the saviorites were a little radical in their actions, so having them creating slaves and species for that reason makes sense, specially when having a lot more power know thanks to their advancements in myra. Maybe as a way to make up for their bad actions, they created a good action: The samaar federation. 5) and 6) I remember having read some gnosticism concepts that could fit this descriptions (recreation and destiny?), but i really would need help to find them :V 7) this could also be aplied for another gnosticism concept, but is also makes sense that if they wanted to recreated humans, they tecnically could not classify as one, not in the philosofical sense. 8)To this point we really have no clue HOW they disappeared (since even the ganglion betrayal doenst mentions them been erased by the ganglions) but the fact is that they disappeared and somehow humans not only ''existed alongside them (it makes sense since human dna if the failsafe for ganglions)'' that logic just cements the fact that a failsafe for a species to not go against their ancestors, is the same as humans, it means ancestors=humans. 9)This basically the tread were xeno X lore tecnically begins realted to humans, all the thigns that happens before the battle over earth happens in this time period. 10) It is stated the samaarians are not from the same universe were xeno x happens, the wiki backs it up (in sammar federation section) 11) Normally the portal would be just from earth to myra, but since the samaarians are originally from klaus earth, they are a ''part'' of earth that habits that universe, so a portal that connects earth (the disappearance of the conduit in the xeno 1 and 2 endings) and myra would also connect that ''part'' of earth. It even makes more sense when you think not only humans, but the saammar federation could also count as beign ''part of klaus earth'' because they descend from the sammarians (you could disagree here and just put the humans, it could also work) 12) I say that is likely the hero is a samaarian, since he just DESTROYED ALONE the ghost to save the fricking space ship solo. It makes sense to ''the superior human' race'' to be able to do that, altough this is a big assumption on my part. wow, this was long, and i also had one for xeno saga, maybe in the replies :v either way, nice video, finally i got enough inspiration to write my theory about it XD

If the Future Redeemed radio speech is hinting at future plot threads and expanding the lore by referencing events from both Xenosaga as well as Xenoblade X, then surely the only possibility is that the real story involved Monolith Soft combining them into one coherent narrative, as you said for your third option. To create some kind of fandom war over this seems incredibly artificial and forced, like it's just for the sake of tribalism, but I guess humans will always be humans! Alternatively, alternate dimensions already exist in Xenoblade so EVERYTHING can be canon! :D

Another way to look at this is the Samaarians and the events at the end of Saga. The universe will die, Wilheim knew this. The next few games will continue with saga till the death of that universe. Then humanity will be reborn in a new universe with a new earth but they will repopulate it with the races they engineered. The cycle repeats and earth is again destroyed, but this time by different events. Mira is the old earth from that dead universe.

My biggest issue with your argument is Aliens. Xenosaga and Xenoblade 1-3 don't have Aliens but X does. Thus, it really feels like X is in a completly diffrent reality to the other 2. Also could we not assume that the conduit in Xenoblade 2 is just an Alrest version of the orignal Zohar which remains in the orignal universe. I think you can shuffle Xenosaga's plot around a bit and play lose with some law to get it to work way easier than you could with X's story.

  • @JBspherefreak

Xenosaga not having Aliens is irrelavent firstly. Secondly, whilst no Aliens have been shown in the blade games, we haven't even left our planet. The assumption that we would know that Alien exists based on the Klaus Saga games is like saying that Aliens don't exist in real life because we haven't seen any definitive proof yet. If you do very much believe that the Blade games don't have them tho, then its still an easy fix. The Samaarians created around 7 or so known Alien races in X (Most of which are part of the Ganglion Army) and it's possible that ALL Alien life originated from them. The Samaarians supposedly died out a while ago so this coul;d be a few thousand years later and not be an issue. Sadly no, there is realistically only one Zohar in existence and it's impossible for the Conduit to be an Alrest one.

@@JBspherefreak Its been awhile since I last read up on my Xenosaga lore but is it not implied a lower domains has a Zohar to conect with the upper domain. If multiple universes exsist than can the possiblity be raised that each has a Zohar. Even if there is only 1 the whole Ormus took it with them thing can easily be overlooked. Lets just say the conduit was sent of into deep space at the end of XC2 and found by Ormus later on. I remind you Xenoblade 1's lore was changed to account for 2's additions such as making Alvis an Ageis (which he never was orignally) and the orbital stations changes. Personally you only need to tweak bits and peices with Xenosaga's lore and it works fine. Menwheil the hoops needed to jump through to get X to fit in seem extreme. The best I have is Klaus destroyed Earth when the Aliens showed up as a last ditch attempt, thus making the worlds of XC1&2. Humans then settled planets like Mira and such and created the space civilizations of Xenosaga. The Aliens somhow all disaper from Human records in the 4000 year time span. Xc3 brings the worlds back together aroudn the same time KOS-MOS is sent back to Earth in Ep3 and she is what we see aproching the planet at the end of the game. X really doesn't fit well here which is why I don't think it works.

The Zohar is a gateway that connects the Higher and Lower domains, that is indeed correct. It is also possible that each different universe has another Zohar/Conduit but you are then in a COMPLETELY different universe which cannot coexist with another which is why you can't have both. You can't make Saga happen in the same universe as blade and have a second Zohar because by this logic, it ALL happens in one universe I wouldn't exactly word it as Xenoblade 1's Lore was "Changed". Xenoblade 2 simply added onto the existing Lore created from 1 and when DE came out, they altered the visuals of Alvis to include a Core Crystal to make it more obvious. This wasn't changing Lore, it was merely giving us a new perspective and angle to look from. Alvis was always ONTOS and that never changed since XC1. The space station was also built upon. It's not like the events shown in Xenoblade 1 are wrong, they are merely a more simple depiction but it wasn't changed. This is where I really need to make a point however but you are COMPLETELY wrong on only needing a few tweaks to make Saga work. There is a lift of 13 to 14 contradictions with the Xenosaga story that would NEED to be changed to make Xenoblade work and thats only the list we've compiled so far. We're talking the Song of Nephilim being changed, Renne Le Chateau can't exist if the world gets split, Jesus Christ couldn't have created ANY of the devices he did in Saga as he couldn't have been on Lost Jerusalem at that time and so on. The list of issues for Saga never seems to end. In comparison, Xenoblade X ONLY has the issue of the Earth being destroyed (Which I covered in this video anyway). In comparison, X isn't difficult to make work as long as you get round this wrong issue which is why I reiterate that NEITHER game works based on the FR Lore. Your timeline of events also can't work. We know that at least 1,000 years past within Aionios and that around 10,000 years went by when both worlds were split as Alrest and the Bionios. This can be judged by one of the Machina's ages in the game being just under 10,000 (Ignoring the Nopon Sage cos yea). Assuming that more time passed in the middle and that Aionios was even older, your looking at a timeline of 12,000 years roughly which is far less then the 7,000 or so that Saga takes place over Lastly, Dmitri and Vector are big references but they are just references. Please recall that Abel, Vanderkam and even more characters are all from Xenosaga but look the same and have the same names with have different stories to their Gears counterparts, the characters they were based off of. It's far more likely that these are NEW versions of these characters. They won't be the same character but will have similar stories, motivations and likely even look the same as before but this is just a thing that Takahashi regularly does when writing his narratives

The only problem I see with the two earths theory is that Zanza domain could not work since it showcases our solar system and even the end of future redeemed showed Jupiter at one point. One idea that could tie X in is that project exodus in FR and X are the same and the ships mentioned being sent out could be testing the lifehold system as the radio mentioned how the capacity of people is becoming larger with each ship sent out as an indicator that the tech is improving (Granted the ghost vs ganglion fight would need to be readjusted to include the orbital rings). Additionally the bulk of their war could be in a different region of earth or at a higher orbit without contradicting the saviorite fight in XC2 much since that attack can be argued to be much smaller in scale in comparison. As for the nature of the evacuation from an alien war, If Yelv’s quest in X is any indication, do we really think the coalition government would be honest about that. They likely have all sorts of shady shit under their belt that makes Klaus’s experiment look like the Disney gummi bear cartoon. Most people in NLA were lied to regarding the true nature of the lifehold core so it wouldn’t be surprising that they hid the war from the populace until the moment they arrived (which would also tie to Lao going rogue). Personally I’m on the belief that both saga and X (and maybe even gears) could be canon with both of them being restructured a tad to work (both series offers different gameplay so its not impossible for them to coexist). Like the context behind grimoire verum’s experiment could be altered as the reason why the orbital rings were built to begin with and may have been the catalyst that brought the two alien factions over to earth (so in a way, he would still be as responsible for humans leaving lost Jerusalem and it would still retain the ideas in the Xenoblade trilogy where the ruination of klaus’s world was caused by humans avarice).

Again I'll bring up this point but based on this Theory, Earth from XCX isn't necessarily in the Milky Way. There's nothing to suggest that in XCX iirc so it doesn't really act as a contradiction Whilst I agree with your second point, I begin to question the rescources that Klaus' World has if they can send 8 ships into space carrying nearly 3 million inhabitants AND have the Ark ships like the White Whale and such. If those ships were unmanned (Which granted they may have been) then fair enough and I can see this working but I'm not confident that this idea is correct (Still cool tho) As for the last bit, I personally disagree. I think it could get messy trying to tie them both in so I personally would prefer they make only one Canon or use the Reboot Theory

Maybe xeno doesnt have to exist as a single timeline, we've already seen alternate realities are a thing, even in klaus's time before the experiment. Like in gnosticism what if entire universes were just imperfect parts of a greater whole, each one having varying degrees of success acheiving gnosis, krelian managed to piggy back into the upper domain but no one else in gears wanted to. Shion's universe was litterally coming apart at the seams due to the collective unconsciousness rejecting unification into a greater whole. X's universe was manipulated greatly by a humanity advanced enough to cross universes and engineer their own earth. Maybe as an experiment into how to actually acheive gnosis since they hadn't managed it despite being so advanced. Leaving klaus's world, which really was torn appart before the peoples of those worlds worked together to unify their worlds and probably have a good chance of becoming samarians given time. I mean it would be in keeping with theming that no ones getting gnosis but everyone still tries to do better, with differing levels of success. Maybe some universes seem the same but thats because they share a starting point, similar events play out but they're all free to have their own versions.

I think Saga is easily more able to fit in. All you have to do is retcon Grimoire Verum into somebody else that was part of Klaus’s experiment in a reimagining and this shouldn’t be so hard to do as Klaus has a Xenosaga version too albeit a very different character that dies. I am of the opinion that they have already retconned Dmitri Yuriev as in Xenosaga he does not live as far back as Lost Jerusalem as he’s not even born yet. What Takahashi is doing here is setting him up as the same character but reimagined. You didn’t mention that the Saviorite Human Rights thing is actually a point for Xenosaga because Yuriev himself is a Designer child who would be arguing for the rights of them in government. He’s also a government official in the past…. Now where it gets really hard to fit is the stuff with Lemegeton and the Anima relics for the Zohar. The conduit would have to be retconned into a Zohar emulator (maybe it already is) but we don’t know that for sure. Furthermore, the real Zohar and emulators were actually scrapped for Xenoblade 3 in the concept stages of the special edition artbook you can see Zohar and the Zohar emulators in origin against supposedly the battle of Alpha as the light is the same. I don’t think Xenoblade X is the same universe as the Xenoblade games since to fit in you’d have to rewrite it completely and not make earth get destroyed. X’s themes of the future don’t match Xenoblade 3’s as Lost Jerusalem comes back at the end of FR and to just blow it up altogether after all that progress Shulk, Rex, and Noah fought for to forge their own futures would be absolutely ludicrous. Takahashi wouldn’t be mad enough to do that until the very future which is what I think X is. Humans have become Sammarians or something like that and that’s why there are aliens in X because it is the very future possibly even Xenoblade 10. I’m obviously a huge Xenosaga person (look at my name lol) but I don’t deny that X2 will happen sometime… just that the 2 Earth theory doesn’t work.

Yea...I think we're gonna be unable to agree either because it isn't a simple fix with Grimoire Verum. Whilst Klaus represents Dr.T Masuda, he also represent Grimoire in terms of his character and the idea that both a "Matter Shift" event is going on caused by Verum, the Saviourites are attacking Rhadamanthus AND Klaus' experiment all happening at the same time seems way WAY to far'fetched. They already (only slightly) altered the Klaus experiment from XC1 to 2 and now you want them to do it again and add MORE to those sequence of events? Xenoblade 3 was supposed to be the end of the Klaus Saga or more specifically the events that were caused by Klaus pressing that button and if we start adding more onto it like that, is Xenoblade 3 really then an end to that Saga? I appreciate that you understand that Dmitri will be re-imagining of the character from Xenosaga tho as thats also an issue with it being Canon You also can't ret-con the Conduit into being an Emulator either as I explained before as this will mean that Joachim doesn't make them and thus, the events that unfolded to create Momo would have to be completely erased. You could argue that her backstory would simply need to be changed but I then am of the belief that this would be a NEW character and not the Original MOMO from Xenosaga 🤷‍♂️ Also, whilst there are emulators in the Artbook, it's unclear as to what their original intention for them would have even been so I'm not confident that we can really use this as evidence just yet Lastly, whilst you may deny my X theory (Which is completely fair), you didn't actually provide any evidence to disprove it. I also agree that destroying the Earth would be pointless after the cast worked so hard to save it but the Earth that gets destroyed ISN'T the same one in the Theory I provided. That planet is actually still around and becomes Mira so in the end, nothing gets destroyed other then another random rock miles away in space

Here is how i think it will go down, Monolith soft will attempt to get at least the chance of remaking all previous Xeno ip, including Gears. Than they will proceed to remake X, Saga and Gears in its own trilogies making them episode 2, 3 and 5. Than they create a 4th trilogy. In the 6th it will be revealed all happened at the same time in a different universe and the 6th is the one that is to set everything together again what started with Klaus splitting it in the first place. I think that it's not the same characters as Xenosaga but it will be a new version of them. It makes no sense to name drop Dimitri Yuriev, Vector Industries and even make something that could be a tease of XC4 being related to Xenosaga for no reason They are 100% tying something to Xenosaga, maybe not the exact same games but something using the same characters as an alternative version of them(like JoJo did afther part 6) it's totally possible that the new Dimitri is not the same character but shares some similiarities Nintendo and Bandai are most likely to be on good terms too, i mean they even worked in Smash Ultimate, if there is a company that i could see Nintendo making a deal for one or two games it is Bandai, it's no Square Enix situation. Shulk's DLC on XC2 also teases what was to come on XC3 and Elma DLC has some dialogue that imply that that encounter was not for no reason(see where i'm going?) I think that the goal IS to unify Xenoblade, Xenosaga and XCX in the same universe IN SOME WAY. In Saga's case i can totally see it being an alt/soft reboot, and XCX is easy to retcon. In the end it's all up to how they will want to play with multiverse and etc. The whole FR was about looking at tbe future without ditching the past, people saying that "there will be no more connections to past works because that's not the game's message" apparently missed the part where they don't want to completely ditch the past but rather just end the Klaus saga and start a new one.

Just remember xenos saga series was incomplete by all counts. The only reason why there was only three episodes is because it did not make enough money for bandai namco to consider to continue that series. So monolith soft vision wasn't totally realized. There is nothing preventing them from combining the 2 backstories of klaus and verrun, or just simply having verrun be another member on said team. There is also nothing preventing the conduit/zohars story were it left earth to be altered a bit. If all else fails it could be changed to a wilhelm teleports it to abraxas deal. Who knows what will happen. Maybe this is going to be the teams original vision, modified finally to their likeing because for the first time, they have a company backing up their passion completely for the first time in ever in nintendo. That could be Dmitri Yuriev goal, to use Orgin to help control and utilize the power of the Zohar to recreate himself as a god or rather The Zohar avatar. Similar to how Alpha used Na’el body. If you played Projext X Zone 2, there's a scene where T-ELOS upon seeing Bionis and Mechonis says she felt nostalgic and the two islands remind her of Neo Jerusalem. The PXZ2 ending where Fiore and Mayneth saying their goodbyes to KOS-MOS thanking her and it was revealed that true KOS-MOS was Mayneth's Military Instructor. I think we can clearly define the timeline that Blade came after Saga. Personally I think X was the retelling of the Elridge from Gears, and I agree with the 3rd option which is he reboot theory. The X or Cross title can mean a lot of things: Branching Worlds, Intersection or Point of origin. So the timeline will probably like XCX - BLANK - Xenosaga - Xenoblade ....then XCX2 probably. I didn't include Gears since its has a different IP holder but it shares the same timeline as Xenosaga. There's also that ending in XC3 that coincides with Xenosaga 3 ending, where KOS-MOS flew to Neo Jerusalem. I guess President Takahashi fulfilled his dream of completing the Xenosaga Series, originally it was supposed to be 6 episodes but it was downgraded to 3 until Nintendo bought Monolith Soft.Great Video and thank you! Glad the video was on my recommendation list.

I see we've got two extremes of this debate. Luxin is Pro Saga connection, while JB is Pro X. Personally, I'd rather have X be its own continuity not connected to the Klaus saga. Having so many games connected will just make the universe too complex and convoluted. And make it very hard for someone to start somewhere. Even though the Blade games have done a good job of telling self-contained stories. I do think Saga is the one they're most likely connecting to the Klaus saga as they've got a lot more references than X does. As well as Xenosaga and Bandai Namco being in the intellectual property information on the game after FR came out. Which they didn't do for XC2 when KOS-MOS and T-elos were added. If whenever we get a Xenosaga trilogy remaster they might end up retconning some aspects of the story to fit with Xenoblade.

To clarify a couple of things: Whilst I most definitely would prefer Xenoblade X to be Canon over Saga, I actually personally don't mind either way. The prupose of this video was to make the argument for Xenoblade X and stop the whole "Xenosaga is already Canon" mentality. Neither game works based on what we know from FR and either way, we'll get a cool story. I'd prefer X but it doesn't matter at the end of the day 😊 I agree with you but based on what you wrote afterwards, I'd simply go the other way It's important to clarify the difference between a "Mascot Character" and a an actual reference. Both KOS-MOS and T-Elos are Mascot Characters which means the Copyright licenses to obtain them are far easy to get. This is likely the reason that there is no Xenosaga in the IP section of the game. Future Redeemed however utilises a MAJOR Character name in Dmitri Yuriev who is NOT a Mascot Character and due to that, the Xenosaga IP must be located somewhere and credited in the credits. Whilst the addition in the first place may still mean something, the fact that the IP is there does not

About the Conduit/Zohar. Considering the conduit is a gateway, and going by FR's ending, XC1 and XC2 seem to both be in different universes, than Klaus's world was. Couldn't, from the perspective of Klaus' world, outside of Earth the Conduit just stay there, while everything around it vanished? Basically Conduit we see is a 3D cross sections of an higher dimensional objects, allowing another cross section to be somewhere else in a different universes at the same time. Let's say XS was canon and took place in the original universe, couldn't the Conduit & Zohar just be two different cross sections of the same 4D+ object? That would allow, there only being one Zohar, who is at the same time at different places in different universes. The Conduit still existing in the original universe would also explain, why XC1 and XC2 only collided, after the conduit departed from XC2, the Conduit was, what was holding those three universes apart, with an "there can only be one Zohar in the universe" rule acting like a universe wide Pauli principle, counteracting the matter-antimatter attraction from pulling them back together, as long as the Zohar exists in all three. (to note here is, this would mean, that the Conduit also exists in some way in XC1) Or to be clearer, when the experiment happens, from the XC2 perspective, the Conduit/Zohar stays, exactly where it is, while from XS perspective, the Conduit/Zohar also stays exactly where it is, but everything around it vanishes, allowing the Zohar to be picked up.

Xenosaga is literally in the list of trademarks for Xenoblade 3 now, like how do you justify that if they have no plans to incorporate any of it for whatever the next Xenoblade game will be. I'm not saying that they won't use those elements from Saga. I mentioned how Dmitri would likely be incorporated to be the mastermind behind the Saviourite Rebels and Vector may just be some Technology company in terms of one of Xenoblade X's Arms Manufacturers. Takahashi likes to reuse elements from his own stories and bring them into his modern games and this situation would be no different. These wouldn't be the exact same concepts or characters but they would be close enough to the originals that they'd need the perms of Bandai Namco whom they have a good working relationship with. These may just be references and of course they'd have to credit the Copyright owners if they wanted to reference it, simple as that

Takahashi says there can't be two 🤦‍♂️ it's an explicit FACT that there is only one Conduit/Zohar in existence and to even suggest that they found TWO in Africa when every game so far has only discovered one is frankly an insult. There CANNOT physically be 2 Zohar's in that World and the Conduit CANNOT be an emulator, it's simply impossible based on EVERYTHING Takahashi has written up to this point. This isn't just a ret-con that there just so happened to be two, this would break and ruin every Narrative that Takahashi has ever written if their coincedently happens to be more then one which there can't be. It is IMPOSSIBLE for it to be in two places at the same time and thus, both games can't take place at the same time as one another Again tho as I've said a number of times in the comments tho, your merely opening your eyes to what you want to see and closing it to what you don't. There are just as many X references/connections as there are Xenosaga ones (Many of which I showed in the video) and to suggest that any one of those is more valid then the other is ludicrous. You can't say the mention of "Dmitri" and "Vector" doesn't hold as much weight as "Project Exodus" or the "Ares" name being used in the files. Both don't work based on Future Redeemed but both CAN work with some changes. I'm not saying Xenosaga is impossible to do but compared to making the Earth blowing up work (Especially when it can just be after the XC3 which removes the issue altogether), Xenosaga has a lot of hurdles to jump through. The Conduit being two places is the tip of the iceberg when you consider Grimoire Verum and Klaus both performing their experiments, Dmitri somehow living for over 12,000 years (Age similarly to Chaos and Wilhelm who are...yea), important Lore and Areas like Rennes La Chateau being a contradiction and so on There's no problem with wanting Xenosaga to be Canon as at the end of the day, we're all coping for something or the other in regards to this but the idea that it points towards Xenosaga is nonsense
