Thank you. Your video inspires me to stay on the island. The budget cruise seems great, too. May I ask which month it was? I have a choice to go in mid-March or early-November. Not sure which time is better. Thanks!!!

Thank you for your nice words 😍 I think it depends what you like, cause for example, when we’ve been there in the beginning of December it was kind of chilly and not so busy, but the weather was ok to explore the island. As back home we are living on an island too, it wasn’t so important for us to have everyday sunshine and swimming temperatures. I believe, or we heard from the locals, that some months later the island can be super packed with tourists, but also nicer weather. But definitely we would also go to Cat Ba (again) and in another month, as the vibes there were super nice, we enjoyed it a lot. I hope that helps you ☺️

If you want good pizza in Vietnam, check out Pizza 4P which was started by a Japanese guy in Vietnam. Many people say it's some of the best pizza they've ever had. I saw a video where some people stayed on a floating homestay in Cat Ba which is a cool concept (it's rustic, so you won't get luxury amenities). I love cool caves where you have to almost crawl through crevices...makes it more adventurous. You guys had some amazing views from Cat Ba...gorgeous nature there. Not sure why they don't try to market that more to Western travelers.

Thanks for the tip! Appreciate it a lot 🙏 And yes absolutely 💯 true! We didn’t know about Cat Ba either, but we followed a couple on Instagram and they were there. And when we saw it, we said, that we definitely have to go there. I hope that our video can inspire more people to go there

Hey 👋 we are glad you enjoyed the video! Normally as we heard from one of the tour guides on the way to Cat Ba is, that even with an international license it is not permitted that tourists drive in general in Vietnam, but it is also true that as tourists we have some privileges. We have never had any problems at all, so I think you’ll be fine. About having a scooter on Cat Ba, we would recommend you to rent one, as it is better to go around the island. Especially if you want to see things that aren’t in Cat Ba town. But another option is also to ask someone from the hostel to take you on the back, as many times there are solo travelers. We hope that helps ☺️
