To find good Vietnamese foods you have to go to Saigon , Dalat , Nha Trang , Vung Tau , Quy Nhon , Da Nang , Hoi An , Hue , Ha Noi , Hai Phong , Ninh Binh , etc... not on a remote island like Cat Ba .

Great drone work Gustav... it really shows where everything is around the main town. Especially the beaches. As my wife and I are older than you guys ( by quite many years ) 72 & 65 we want to stay away from the main area because of the noise. Would you advise the FLAMINGO HOTEL area ????. Or anywhere else !!!. Keep up the great work and listen to Kate.... she seems very wise 🤩🤩🤩 Max. Australia.

Hey thanks for watching, we went in October and it was perfect. We've done it before over Christmas time and it wasn't nearly as nice as Oct😃

Beautiful island surrounded by gorgeous karst formations in the water. You guys didn't go on a hike at the national park? BTW, that hotel is awesome! Is it a real cave or just made to look like a cave? Beautiful pool area, too. Food doesn’t even look Vietnamese…not sure what that was…maybe they were trying to hard to be culinary cool/hip? I bet they have lots of Russian tourists there. Maybe more Westerners go there the food would cater more to our tastes.

It was amazing, and both too crowded for some reason😊 we didnt go on a hike unfortunately. We were so tired from traveling and doing the Ha giang loop on motorbikes. Usually we try to do a hike every time we travel to a new place. The hotel was in a real cave, but parts of it were fake rock too. I am not sure about the food, but it was still good. But not great.

This is ssooo great🤩 Can’t wait to tick cat ba off the list as well. Just wondering, what time did you guys visit! And when’s the best time to go there?

Thanks Ryan, we really enjoyed Cat Ba a lot. We went in the middle of October and had no rain and almost no tourists so perfect timing. I would say outside of Rainy season is always nice for Islands 😃

The Kayaks were included in the Full cruise tour. But you can easily book a Kayak through your accommodation. It’s always easy to book things on the islands😃
