Exploring the Abandoned Internet [Vol. 4]

Ойын-сауық

With the age of the internet, sometimes things become lost. This goes for all manner of media. The one that most intrigues me, are the forgotten websites. Forgotten websites are still accessible and carry the look of the era they originate. These are both eerie and intriguing.

    My man, Art's show, Coast to Coast AM was the Premier radio broadcast for the Paranormal and anything strange. C2C was the number One Overnight Radio Broadcast in the world at one point being broadcast in multiple Countries and pretty much the entire US. Art was one of the most successful and legendary Radio broadcasters there has ever been. If you enjoy the strange and unusual then you owe Art a debt of gratitude because hes one of the reasons these subjects were ever able to gain real traction in the 90's.

There are plenty of livestreams and Archives of Art's C2C out there to listen to . I suggest Mel's Hole, Father Malachi Martin, Bugs the Bigfoot killer and any of the EVP episodes.

    Stan Lee once cameoed in a movie that WASN'T comicbook themed. The Ambulance from 1990. It's literally just an oldfashioned horror/comedy/thriller about an old ambulance abducting people around New York and just some guy trying to hunt down his attempted date who was taken. Except that for literally ZERO REASON AT ALL the guy just HAPPENS to work for Marvel Comics as an artist, and Stan Lee just KINDA shows up as his ACTUAL BOSS for one scene-- IT LITERALLY HAPPENS FOR NO REASON AT ALL!

    @@Veladus Yeah, it was a mad doctor, and his goons would drive around and make the abductions in an old Cadillac wagon style ambulance. The police Chief was James Earl Jones, he winds up in a hospital and teams up with the old guy in the next bed played by an old time comedian named Red Buttons. I own the blu ray, and it's just full of weird random decisions that shouldn't work and yet mostly do. The doctor was kinda weak, you arguably don't even really need him, but it's a fun and pretty crazy watch.

Parts of the story and some of the delivery in certain scenes are kind of a WTF, but you get the feeling they were actually goin' for somethin' whether it worked or not. Action, suspense, comedy, it's actually pretty kickass at the core-- it's just got a weird coat of paint on it that isn't even necessarily bad-- it's just weird in places. There are worse movies he coulda shown up in, believe me.

    I've no way to reach out or put this in any place of relevance, but I love your coverage of most "lost" media! However, that's not what my comment is about. Recently, I've discovered an ARG covered by few people, called The Interloper. There's individual videos of clips from the ARG, and a few videos covering the story and current progress of the ARG. For a summary, the ARG is about a wall texture found in Half Life 2, in which it looks like the "Umbrella man" grafiti you can find in the later stages of the game. Through some research, they found a command that could be put into the command log in any game using the Source engine, like Portal, TF2, Garry's Mod, and Half Life 2 itself. When activating the code, it would play a demo, which normally consisted of random clips of the main character having an extreme camera spasm. However, on rare occasions a clip could be found that was absurdly strange, and not in the style of any typical demo. If you have the time or feel like covering this at all, I highly recommend doing a video on it, and would appreciate it lots. Either way, I look forward to watching whatever content you put out, whether it covers The Interloper or not.

    36:21 - I genuinely can't tell if this is tongue-in-cheek, or you've actually never heard of Art Bell, LOL. If not, he was the longtime host of the legendary late night radio show, Coast To Coast AM (rebroadcast on FM, too). The man is practically a god to the "high strangeness" crowd, Alien believers, & people who find generally weird shit to be interesting. Personally, I could take or leave a good fraction of it, but many of the shows just damn interesting. Do yourself a favor and go look up some shows on Coast to Coast AM - I'm sure they've got a KZread page.

    if anyone is interested in a solid piece of evidence against the simulation scenario -- in my (and many scientists') opinions, our universe being simulated is almost certainly impossible. this is because of universal constant numbers in mathematics, such as planck's constant, being irrational numbers, which - by nature of being irrational - cannot be perfectly replicated digitally, because digital numbers rely - surprise! - on decimals. decimals can never perfectly replicate an irrational number, AND as far as we've observed *any* amount of rounding to these numbers results in universally catastrophic & impossible physical events. physics just doesn't work if you round planck's constant out in the actual universe.

  • @coffeebot7016

    @coffeebot7016

    2 ай бұрын

    This is assuming a simulation would be using technology no more advanced than our own, which is silly. It's not a stretch to think whatever society is advanced enough to simulate our universe is also sufficiently advanced to replicate irrational numbers. Or measure them in a way that allows precise replication, that doesn't align with our mathematical systems. Or irrational numbers are a glitch

    Planetary flooding makes no sense. We know that both poles are floating ice-continents (floating being the operative word.). So the poles can melt all that they want, the global sea-level will not significantly rise. The why is something that all of us learned in elementary school. What is true is that the available livable landmass is shrinking (something that's been going on ever since there was a landmass.) due to a myriad of reasons like earth-quakes, continental drift and yes, industry and resource-collection and other things like axis-wobble and the very fact that the moon's orbit is lsoing width for eons going.
