Fantastic video!!! It seems like it has been "civilized up" a bit, read some accounts from the 80s and 90s and nothing about a nice house at the main harbor in them. Only the old defunct army base a bit inland.
This is awesome! My family races sailboats in the Pacific Northwest. It’s the highlight of my summer! Still haven’t gone sailing on the ocean though.

Hello from australia, i was kinda just looking at google maps when i had just thought to check out this wonderful looking island, i want to visit that swimming spot its sooooooo awesome
This was incredible Cool you guys got to experience it firsthand
Roger on his sail boat Couscous used to take care of the island in the 90's and early 2000...From memories he lived like 9 years there..Awesome to see videos with nowadays technology. You could only eat Mullet back then, most other coral fish had ciguatera back then.

There’s a lot of sharks there, especially in the lagoon. And a lot of birds and crab. There was a famous murder there back in 1974. Read the book I mentioned in the post below this post. It’s a great book by Vincent Bugliosi, author of Helter Skelter and prosecutor of Charles Manson.
John's Vela movie was pretty good, but he didn't have the realistic fish CGI, so you win the Oscar for sure.
