back in the late 70s and 80s capt louie out of honolulu sailed to tahiti a few times. he invited me to stay with him back in the 80s at hanalei for a week and we sailed back to ala mo. rough ride coming back

What an adventure mate. Memories for life being made there. Best line of the trip so far “ Erik is losing his lunch, we’ve got some rudder problems and Kona is approaching stage 3”. 😂😂😂. You will all remember this trip for a very long time though. Great work with the fish too mate. A little tip with the large pelagics like mackerel too mate. Once they get around that size, and a little bit bigger than the one you caught , they can contain high volumes of mercury and give you ciguatera poisoning which will make you very sick, so I’d make that one the size limit to be safe. Hope you all have a great adventure mate and stay safe on the high seas🤙

Jaime Hagadorn we were so hyped first full day and we nailed a fish!

Uhg.....once I went out with my buddy and his older brother, who owned a fishing boat out of Honolulu. He was hosting a small group of tourists for a day of fishing. Well, the fishing was super slow, so evidently the protocol is to go over off of Diamond Head into some big swells and get the tourists seasick so they will want to go in....worked on me too....thought, hoped, then realized unfortunately I would not die. Worst ever. That boat was much more useful as a crash pad after concerts at H.I.C., as we lived Ewa Beach.

We caught an 80 pound Sail Fish in 2005 while in the Mentawais. It fed 10 boats in the area.

Every watch any sailing channels. Along with all boats. Stuff is breaking all the time. It's one of the best boats you can buy. Only 2 million dollars. Shit happens. Boat - Break out another Thousand!

@@jonathank5289 Sorry I did not try to dis the boat, Im a sailor myself and ex pro photographer, Im surely aware that stuff happens with any sort of equipment at the most inconvenient time, but not typical an hour or so from port on a 2 million dollar boat. It's not the boats fault it's those pierce of rope right. Anyway have a safe trip I do love the boat and you got it for a great price as well. Please don't loose the buoys ( a sailing joke ) we love their youtube shows . I still loving the RED camera.
