Exploring Drake’s Neighbour’s ABANDONED $40,000,000 MEGA MANSION | BILLIONAIRE’S DREAM ESTATE
Ойын-сауық
The owner was of Indian descent but was born in Kenya.
After graduating from the University of West London, he had just returned to East Africa when the Ugandan president Idi Amin expelled his country's South Asian minority in 1972.
Living in neighbouring Kenya, He decided to move in case "some Idi Amin type of guy comes in and makes you a beggar overnight," he said in a 2012 interview.
He came to Canada in 1975, where, confronted by the cold and the snow, he said he couldn't think of any other business opportunities but to manufacture fire logs.
"When I got into the fire log business it was a big thing to be macho. Get a chainsaw and cut your own wood and bag it yourself," he said in the 2012 interview.
Instead, he offered convenient products that ignited easily and were made from inexpensive sawdust and wax.
His Toronto-based company, became North America's biggest manufacturer of fire logs.
His companies also have made glue sticks, stationery tapes and mailing supplies. He has now shifted his interests to being a financial backer for technology startups.
According to the architect who designed his house, the property was built in 2005 and includes two outdoor tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool, a home theatre and a five-car garage.
This home is an amazing example of peak rich and luxury in the mid 2000’s.

It’s disgusting to rip this house down. Millionaires, Hollywood etc love to preach to us about saving the environment and global warming but then they do things like this and get away with. It should not be allowed. This is so wasteful. This mega mansion is gorgeous

You're right... it shouldn't be allowed. Perhaps government should require an inspection of the condition. If it is in good shape then no. If they want to tear it down, they have to be fined, taxed something substantial. Maybe even forced to preserve the good materials like floors, stairs, cupboards etc for auction.

Yeah let the government get more power over what ppl should be able to do with their money on “borrowed land”. What a joke
What a stunning mansion, it's so clean for abandoned. Such a shame to tear it down, it's so gorgeous, just needs repairs...People have more money than brains, apparently...
It’s criminal to demolish a beautiful home like this that’s only 20 years old, I have socks older than that. I hope they salvage some of the beautiful woodwork and the doors and cabinets. They have more money than scents.
I am 50 yrs old but yea I'd have to touch the button that says don't touch lol love the house such a shame owner didn't appreciate it or that anybody would tear down ty ethan u do the best walk thrus of anyone on utube❤
I saw this one about a week ago that someone else posted, my thought from last week was "I wished Ethan would post this to do it justice". You aren't disappointing, love your attention to detail.
Those ceilings are gorgeous. Such a waste 😞
The only reason this is being torn down is greedy 1 up manship. The garage alone is bigger than most houses . Xx
Tearing down a 20,000 sq ft mansion that’s less than 20!years old to build a-excuse me while I throw up-bigger mansion? That is so ridiculous I cant even!! Such waste. But what an explore. Glad you found this one.

This Palace should not be torn down. Why would the developers want to do this. This mansion is perfectly fine the way it is. This demolition is totally unacceptable

Believe me, if they could sell it, they wouldn't be knocking it down. Unfortunately these houses just don't sell and they sit for years. I blame the overinflated market. These days, nobody is willing to pay that kind of money for somebody else's dream house that needs work, when they could buy a brand new one for the same price.

You are correct. My daughter lived on the same street that John Lennon was shot. Her apartment was one room with a tiny bathroom. She could sit on her bed and cook on the stove it was so tiny. She paid $2400 a month.

What a waste. This mansion is unbelievable beautiful. I cant imagine this is being torn down. I love the marble floors. Saying what's up never get's old. Another great find.
What a beautiful home, I honestly would not want a house like this. It is/was way too big.
Beautiful house. Just stunning. Rumor has it is that the guy who lives behind wants the property to expand his house. I remember that house you mentioned Ethan. You pasted 2 photos of it getting demoed. Sucks.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow just amazing. I would love to be a guest in that house for a few days. I would probably be afraid to break something. Thank you Ethan for the description and story of the owner. Great job as always stay safe.

The huge mansion looks very nice! It's very sad how it's going to be demolished. 😢
My favorite. That was a prep kitchen and the pantry behind the main. I love this home. My whole family could live there and not see them for days. I just love that you do this. I also love the old homes.❤
The commentary throughout the master bedroom had me dyin😂😂
Awesome find Ethan 😎
This has to be the BEST ONE I have seen!! With the least amount of damage!!
This is one truly spectacular mansion! I can't get over the number of closets and how HUGE they all are. Not to mention all the tubs with jets, heated towel racks and fireplaces! And all that expensive wood and tile. Even the staircases are amazing! Thank for you showing us this gorgeous house, Ethan!!!
OMG Ethan...incredible...Nice find ...to pull this down is criminal 😤...wonder where the owners went,..once you had a property like that ,what's next ????there's nothing else to want for....loved all of it ,well done Ethan...stay safe well and happy 💋

It's absolutely criminal to demolish this building. It's disgusting how there are so many homeless people, and these property developers just tear it down for the land.
Wowza. This Mansion Really Rocks. There is so much to see and experience here. From the Front Door into the Foyer to the amazing back yard. The Hot Tub in the corner of the yard. Blows me away. The indoor pool and the Jacuzzi plus the Sauna is so incredible. The endless bathrooms and bedrooms are so beautiful and have every thing that you could need and want. It reminds me of the TV Show Dallas. I love how you captured every detail. And the sheer excitement you have in this Palace. The Basement really blew me away. So massive and never ending. Thank You for sharing and great job filming this for us. Fantastic Job as always. Take Care and will look forward to the next adventure. Peace Out & Much Love.

I’ve been following you for a long time now. This has to be the most extravagant property you’ve done. This it, but love your expression(s) even more! Beginning to think that demolishing a house less than 35 years should be illegal! Hard to imagine that people would think they need a bigger house?! Maybe they should’ve considered making donations to charities.
This looks awesome!
Absolutely stunning!!! The ceilings are amazing and my favorite part of this house. The detail….
Absolutely unbelievable house! I’ve never seen a house this large. Thank you so much for doing what you do’
I could feel your excitement showing us this beautiful home Ethan . It seems to me to terribly wasteful to demolish such a modern house . Very well done .
Thanks you for sharing this
People with this kind of money can spend as they please. I personally would not want a house this large but would prefer a few smaller homes in different parts of the country or world.

Absolutely unbelievable! Thank you for sharing.
Got totally freaked out yesterday when all of a sudden the stream shut down and the "thumbnail" disappeared from KZread. Glad I get to see the rest. This place is a stunner. When someone demolishes a perfectly good house, they should have to pay a "demo fee" equal to a percentage of the assessed value. 25-50% at least to make them think twice. 24:36 Were you not tempted to pull down the attic stairs? lol
As aways Ethan, another great explore. This one is a beaut. Would love to have several of the big bathrooms an closest spaces 😊 Tks for sharing this along w/ BigBatz 👍✌️❣️
Man, think of how many of us could live there. In style! ✌️
Wow! This place was beyond amazing! You kept saying like what the F!! And that was so appropriate really! Blows my mind that people actually live like that in places like that. I seriously can only dream and imagine. Wow. Wow.

Amazing video Ethan. Thanks for going back to properly show the basement. Thank you so much for all the details as that place was massive. It’s just a same to tear it down. no offense to you but the matching granite to your place so you basement granite to someone of this status haha. Either way you have nice granite.
That doesn't need to be demolished,sad and a waste 😢 Mmmmm 🧐
wow only in my dreams . thanks for sharing . ❤❤ stay safe love ya
WOW !! Richly $ $ Wonderful once again Bro,GOD BLESS 🙏
This one excites you Ethan and it shows what a lovely house
Wow! Some houses are big but, they are mostly space. This tops them all! Some one might build bigger but not with such character and functionality, storage.
1. Probably my favorite video you've done, but I love all your work! 2. Don't ever listen to what those people are saying I love your verbal commentary, it's what makes your channel. 3. I only watch about 3 people who do what you do, so don't ever change a thing. 4. Sorry, but it's disgusting how people can be that rich that they just throw this away! But it was still a beyond excellent explore. Now others are putting there's up... too late, lol
First floor with those tiles and the crown molding on the ceiling was really nice. Thantk you guys for this wonderful explore. Really sad that something like this is being demolished for even something bigger.
Ethan I believe that this place is definitely one of the best homes that you’ve been into and it is a palace. I love the detailing within the home, like I’ve always said before it’s just a shame it has to come down. I don’t understand all that process But I guess it is what it is and you know that they had servants in this house a butler, maid, cook a grounds keeper the whole 9 yards. I bet you if they could afford a place like this I’d be able to afford to pay for servants but that’s just my opinion and the house is absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for sharing you take care and be safe. ❤️🫶🏻🤠
CUTE ….. either YOU have high end countertops or they have cheap countertops 😁
THIS IS SO SAD THAT THEY ARE TEARING DOWN SUCH AN AMAZING HOUSE!!!!!!
Good job, thanks for sharing your thoughts. 😊
Ethan unbelievable great job as usual
How sad it's going to get torn down are they totally out of there minds are what there is no reason to demolition it I would love to own it every single bit of it is so 🌹 lovely what a great video you do go through every detail of it
Awesome job Ethan
What an extremely incredible exquisite palace! Nothing negative about it. Stunning material and styling. The floors, all of the wood, ceilings, bathrooms, closets, staircases. That library area on the top floor, no words, the pool, hot tub. I can’t imagine the life lived there. Oh and the basement ballroom and theater! What was the purpose of the area of stones near the main staircase I wonder. Yes the 1% have “made it” but I wonder if they’re happy. Maybe a bit shallow to consider that this is not good enough or large enough for them. All of these beautiful resource materials to be destroyed and trashed. I will never understand. I wonder if they’re rich and generous of heart or rich and stingy. Enough of my opinionated ranting. Thank you Ethan for sharing this EPIC adventure! You’re enthusiasm is always contagious. Take care be well and stay safe!

It's sad that something this grand is just going to be destroyed. All that marble and stone will just be broken up and thrown away. It feels so sinful.
Ethan, I feel as you said, I am totally without words. That bathroom counter, in the basement is from like a place as Kohls, not a high end counter. Sorry. That palace is exquisite. Reminiscent to me of the U.S. White House. Exquisite.
