I don't know how I could have forgotten about this magnificent home! It is way up there, if not at the very top, of my list of favorites! I think the entire home is a total masterpiece, made up of so many beautiful pieces of architectural art, in addition to the literal works of art as well! It is truly stunning!🤩 ✨ The property is as amazing as well, with so many interesting aspects to it. This place was made for entertaining and enjoyable living or even as a serene retreat. It is truly sad this place will be wiped away! It would be an incredible dream to win a lottery of some sort, and have the opportunity to purchase and save it! Thanks for the incredible revisit to amazing place, one last time! ✌️

You were saying for the sunroom looking area you thought it was or could be an add-on My in-law's house is pretty much design the same way with that style window and the interior the brick with an exterior window on the interior their sunroom was actually a swimming pool that opened up to the outside and then they did this killer edition and the swimming pool was on the outside but basically a lot of the features and that house remind me of their house from when they built it in the '60s changed it in the '70s to the '80s to what it looks like now I love your videos they're really spot on

Hello Ethan! What a weird built house! I do like the hallway of closets! All houses need that space, so that was cool! The laundry kitchen combo was odd! I think that room was a gym and the long room next to it was a recreation room. The house is still in decent condition! That checkered bdrm was huge 👀 The foyer is beautiful! Sad they are tearing down these old homes

This is the weirdest layout of a house I ever did see. It almost looks like it could’ve been converted into offices for something. I think that part you said they added on used to be curtains, it looks to me like it’s part of the awning from the outside, they were trying to hide when they added on the room.

You would think the cabinets above the kitchen island, finished in high gloss reminiscent of private jet cabinetry, would have been made with curved corners, a feature also seen on jets and yachts.

thank you Ethan i can now have closure everything is now revealed. Its Party Mansion infact you could hold different parties in dozens of rooms upstairs, downstairs, outside in the gardens, on the pool deck, in the pool shed, above the hot spa, and now that 3 car garage with all the floor to ceiling windows reveals to me that they could have partied in there as-well with dozens of toilets i would be surprised. Some points i hazard a guess the sunroom upstairs was already built outside deck originally connected to the above the spa deck but they decided to enclose the deck overlooking the pool to make a sun room. below the sunroom area was an outside pool entertainment area because that brick is already featured on the exterior. They enclosed the outside pool entertainment area with windows and sliding doors. Unfortunately John angel in Spanish its Juan Un-hel dream is not someone eleses. Unfort the Master bedrooms either side on the kitchen side or on the other end dont have huge walkin ward robes thats unacceptable one could delete a bedroom to make a walkin. I have a sneaking suss that the checked bedroom with the jack n jill was two bedrooms made into a large one. The wood panel room at the front was a coat room for the parties, i cant work out the spa at the front door unless it was meant as a mud room for the owner Pooches to wash em. I bet the dip in the kitchen was due to being too much weight i bet the number of people swanning around that kitchen area you could have a kitchen servory on the large kitchen table the kitchen musta babe been different back then as the glass display shelves next to the microwave must have been a thoroughfare and with the renos of the 80s they closed the thougherfare with the glass cabinets and a serving counter thats something you see in a commercial kitchen ie the rectangle window cutout opposite the second set of stairs. That bottom kitchen was a party kitchen that counter space and cupboards a servery for downstairs cupboards full of plates and cups for days. But otherwise sad this one is going its got character its easy to delete the renovations and return it back to standards. Oh well such a waste.

This unique and amazing house. Love the sunrooms. Love the sunken basement room with fireplace and bar. Who could ever forget the incredible entry room with the paintings and the “dome”. I lost count of bedrooms and bathrooms. That red sink in basement a bit of the unexpected. The backyard and pool and sitting area all so peaceful. I see no reason this house should be destroyed. It wouldn’t take too much to make it perfect again. The kitchen sunroom would have to be rebuilt stronger and better supported. I think the only way to stop this needless destruction would be a very large MegaMillions winning ticket enabling one to be the top bidder and then to restore. It would be amazing even to save one home in a lifetime. It saddens me that so few see the value in restoration vs demolition. Thanks Ethan for sharing this again just ahead of its untimely ending. Take care be well stay safe and warm!

Oh my, where to begin !! What was once likely a late 1950's to mid 1960s super cool ranch bungalow has been ruined with the most hideous 1980s reno gut job. This would have been an incredible mid century gem before the homeowner changed everything to modernize it for the 80's era. There has been so many additions and alterations to this place. You can see that the front door has been bumped out, extended- that allowed them to add that crazy bathroom with the jacuzzi tub in the entry (how weird !). The entry where the staircase is to the basement would have been part of the front hall/foyer. The dining room is on the rightside (off the kitchen as Ethan mentions), the living room is on the left of the front foyer, originally a centre hall plan layout. That entire back 1980's sunroom that spans across the back of the house upper and lower is all an addition, a bump out. Definitely no permits for that thing, that would never pass code or be allowed today !! The kitchen was expanded and they must have removed a wall and stole space from a bedroom to enlarge the kitchen, thats why there are heater vents in the middle of the floor. They obviously did not re-route the hvac system. Very poorly laid out, awkward floor plans when they changed everything from the original house. sad it is another beauty being destroyed, I would change this back to the original MCM ranch it once was if I had this place. Thanks for another great video Ethan !

@10:00 - something I have noticed is that these high-end houses that are older all seem to be rocking the legit Maytag laundry machines. I still have a set of OLD Maytags from the early to mid 80's I don't do a lot of laundry (just 2 of us) but these things are still running. Rich people seemed to know decent quality things, but it was also an era of American quality and exceptionalism. I would take any machine you have shown here over any modern-day, electro-computerized abominations on the market of late.

As much as I get frustrated when you don't open closets and doors, that feeling was overwhelmed by the fact that you do not use stupid piano or techno music and you appreciate what you're seeing. Not going to lie - sometimes you sound baked. I get that your eyes don't always see what I, personally, would like to see, but I am growing to appreciate this content.

It's in case you come back from somewhere and need to use it urgently. You don't have to run through the house to find it. We had an architect from my parent's old church in Phoenix build a huge extra room onto the house, and he put a bathroom right up by the front door. I don't know if they asked him to or it was something he suggested.

It breaks my heart to see all these beautiful homes destroyed 💔

The downstairs was probably his gallery for displaying art and entertaining guests. Upstairs was his private residence.

Crazy, spend a load of money into a home just to be destroyed 😞 make that make sense 😢 IDK beautiful 😍 though. Most couldn't afford a house like this. Even to rent.

The demolition company owns the property at this point. Different companies put in a bid and the city awards it to the winning bid. In my city, we get a list of properties set for demolition. Then we have a chance to go onto the property and take what we want. (The demo company has no issue with it, as they are going to raze it anyway)
