Hello. Thanks for the video. What is the iphone’s case model shown in this video at 2:06 for example? Thanks.
We've barely dipped our toe in this technology

Excellent. Thank you..
It is better for the battery for a phone?
Omg thank you for this. I'm 31 and usually up to speed with this stuff but when chargers started coming like this I was lost.

Excellent explanation and demonstration whilst keeping to the point. Thank you
Thank you for the concise explanation. Been browsing around Amazon/Ebay to see what kind of new motherboard I want for my PC rig, and there's a few motherboards that do not have USB-C ports, and that annoys quite a few people. However, people have said you can buy an adapter so you can put usb-c wires into the new motherboard.

Do you know what kind of adapter in particular? I’m currently looking for an adapter
Great vid, clearly explained. Thanks for the breakdown.💯😎
ThanQ.
thanks you.
Great content, but the microphone is off a little.
Gbps = Gigabits per sec GBps = Gigabytes per sec

USB C = 1.25 GB/ second USB C thunderbolt = 5 GB / second
Pretty sure it’s 10/20 giga”bits” per second not giga”byte” per second. A gigabit per second is about an 1/8th of the speed of gigabit
@ronaldschild157

"Gbps" (lower case "b") = Gigabit; GBps (upper case "B") = Gigabyte (GigaByte?). Anyway, this is a very good and informative presentation.
So i want to buy USB c but i see A5 and A3 what does it mean ?samsung - type c to type c 1.8 m A5 vs samsung type -c to type c 1.8 m cable A3 .Thank You
Do usb-c to usb-c charging work on all usb-c devices?
Is there a lead that will allow phone to be charged while a external SSD attached to watch movies or backing phone up to SSD ?

Note that USB only concerns about sending power, it does not care how you gonna use that power for charging or anything else and power and data transmission is independent (that why you got cable that just to power) and one does not concern about the other. Only Host device can send power and only client device can recive it, in order for SDD to charge phone and send data means that both SDD and Phone need to support taking reverse roles in data transmission.
How does it know which is the smaller devices?? 😱😱😱

I'm slowly warming up to these I hope the USB D-Z isn't going to show up soon.

How fast are your c to c cables lasting though?
Omg those 1st 2 points are not a problem at all. Have we gotten so lazy that it’s a problem to take a few seconds to figure out which part of the cable is the right side?! Smh
I've just been trying to Google over and over again if there is a difference between a type c charger and a USB-C charger, and I can't get a straight answer.. I have a new phone, it's a Samsung Galaxy S, and my type c plug that came with it fits and snaps in perfectly, I have another one that is fairly short that also snaps in just fine, but the one I keep near my bed which is the one I want to use because it's longer and more expensive, it too is a type c charger but it's very tough to plug in, it's extremely resistant to go in.. I've only used it maybe two days, but I'm afraid to keep doing it because I don't want to mess up the charging port on this new phone.. so I've been trying to compare the device ends of these three, and they all look to be the same.. although I feel like the one that's giving me trouble, it looks like it might be a fraction of a hair wider, but I also feel like that's my eyes playing tricks on me from straining so hard to tell if they are the same Oh by the way, the phone I just replaced, I still have it, and the bedside plug that's not fitting easily into my new phone, it fits into my old phone perfectly fine like it always has.. That's why I am wondering if there's a difference between USB c and type c, because I am going to have to buy another one and I want to make sure I buy the right thing.

Is the wire your using a after market one or is it official samsung? Also have you go a case on your phone?
does USB C to USB A works? Like a car charger with USB c port and armrest box that needs to be powered by car carger but only has a USB A port
@ShadowriverUB

Yes and no, USB-C and USB-A is alreacticly compatible so it will charge, but USB-PD is not supported in USB-A (other then FastCharge which is outside of offical USB standard) so it might not charge as fast in devices that support faster chargeing. In terms of data USB-A 3.0 have 2 high speed data lanes pius while USB-C has 4, and those extra 2 are used 3.2 2x2 mode as well as some alternatye modes
Can this download music to the computer
Dude, 20GB/s is pretty much top DDR4 speed. Are you saying one could saturate RAM speeds with USB C?

it's gigabits not gigabytes (Gb instead of GB), and that is 1/8 of a gigabyte. the "20 gigabytes per second" in the video is a bad mistake in the video

@@YariCodes yes not sure on the advice of a PCMag that doesn’t know the difference between GIgabits and Gigabytes 😉
Every phone I've owned with USB C has been trash. It loses connection and refuses to charge because it gets loose.

Nice
From decades ago what you on about I've only just found out usb c exists
18 months ago 😮
I destroyed my USB-C ports like the 5th time I used them. You're trying to jam that little tab male connector into any hole you can find that fits on the back of your case blind and there is no telling how much other stuff you damage.
I bought a c to c cable thinking i could just charge my phone from a power bank but its pulling power from the phone to charge the powerbank instead?! How and why?..
Please tell me its for android too😢
Can I send video like HDMI ?

If device supports it and right cable yes, via alternate mode, there also DisplayPort mode and MHL and some non-standard solutions like analog audio which is used now days in phones without a jack. Because in most USB 3.0 speed modes only 2 data lanes out of 4 are used in USB-C there extra pins that can be used for something else, USB 2.0 has sperate data pins, so in case of 2.0 all 4 lanes are free.
Both ends are not the same.
my charger is a usb C i use the ipad mini 6th generation and i would need a new usb c wire soon
I like this new charging thing it charges my phone only in 50 minutes fast charging.

Not true, I don't have Type-C on my PC nor anywhere in my house, I have to use external USB cables to connect my phone to PC. Sucks.
gigaBITS not BYTES
I wish they would drop the excessive power output on USB-C. If you want a charger, get a charger.
Horrible sound quality.
10Gbps It’s 10giga’bit’per second not 10giga’bytes’. A gigabit it’s an 1/8 of a giga’byte’. 🙄🙄🙄

Type.c in Malaysia means Chinese
It’s gigabit.
Loose the completely irrelevant muzak and buy a microphone
I notice no difference between this and the standard USB to lightning… Don’t waste your money like i did.

How much did they pay you to give us a positive review on this? Its just a monopoly scandal. They did it with the earbuds, the iphone lightning cable, and now this. And besides, i looked at this at first with no bias. But after about a year, my usb c cable doesnt charge my phone properly. It easily gets dirty and looses connection. Didnt happen with my iphone charger. That thing lasted me a few years. And i still have when my friends come over and didnt bring a charger for their iphones. We shouldnt have to buy all these new devices just for this usb c port. And those connectors that switch from lightning cable to usb c, or usb to usb c are another money grab.
I have a wire thats both ends is usb c tip. Like what????
