The scene diving with the whales just blew me away. I’ve never seen anything so compelling, terrifying and beautiful in my life. And the climax of the music which was perfectly suited for it just wow 😳🤯

Beautiful but also terrifying! Being an OPEN water scuba diver, I found myself having a hard time breathing while watching him swim in tight spots and also under the ice, which is one of my biggest fears, getting trapped. Job well done 👏🏼

the thing is, the first whales he swam RIGHT NEXT TO were sperm whales which can produce the loudest sounds in the entire animal kingdom (frequencies higher than 30 kHz), enough to burst eardrums of people from hundreds of miles away. that means that those whales literally could of killed him both by eating him or by screaming if they wanted to, which makes that shot even more beautiful. (whales don't normally eat people though)

This is truly "breathtaking" ... This is honestly one of the most exciting, daring, unique 13 minutes of film I've ever seen. This is legendary and I hope many people experience your vision. I know I'd be scared to death, even with the fact that I was a competitive swimmer in my youth.

The camera person might have had an oxygen tank just to be safe, but there have been documented instances of people holding their breath for 10-15min while spear hunting fish. It takes an insane amount of training

Beautiful. I like the contrast between the immensity of the underwater world, the silence, peacefulness of it and then... the agitation, the promiscuity of the beach..! =S

I thank national geographic and this awsome free diver by bringing us to places most of us would or could never imagine. Thank you so much for this glimpse into another realm.
