I remember Baekhyun was deemed disrespectful bcs he's tone was informal when he's comforting exols and said that he was in a formal event and he shouldn't be that unprofessional. But no. His message was directed to exols and he's talking casually to ease our hearts and it just shows how much he cares. But those haters put another meaning to it just to hate EXO. Bitches were just envious they don't have an idol that is willing to talk casually in front of all people just to comfort the fans. It's what they've been jealous about, they don't have a relationship like EXO and EXO-Ls have.

The fact that Exo keep Exo-Ls away from the pain endured during those award seasons is true love. They gave up awards for our sake and still they keep on dominating no matter what. Exo don't need no award from fake ceremonies. The way the group and the fandom was disrespected is on another level. All of this adds up to the love and respect there is in the relationship between Exo and Exo-Ls, it is an incredible special bond. I will forever stan Exo, they deserve everything and more ❤️

Actually we don't care so much for awards as the EXO members said that they have many awards already but we care about respect towards our boys. Many people says that EXO slowed down after 2017 but if you look closely and join the dots you will find the real reason behind it. After this MAMA show EXO said they will protect us and they knows this award seasons are mentally harassing so they started releasing their albums late ( after the date of qualifying in any award show) just to keep their promise of protecting us. They stopped going to any award shows for us only. They said they make music for us to enjoy not to get/chase any award. And believe me they are the most awarded artist coz they said every single exols is daesang( grand prize) for them. Now calculate and see how much daesang EXO have😊( even I and you are also daesang for them). Still there are some award shows nominate them for clout and being hardcore exols and voting runs in our blood so we vote there coz we want to see them together ( they are on hitaus) . I am lucky ( to know them) and proud that I Stan a group who sacrificed awards for fans. We love you EXO. We are one.

To all the baby ExoLs out there.. be strong. I'm one of those ExoLs since the teaser/debut days and I must say that loving EXO is really hard but I'm telling you that it is worth it. As much as possible don't engage to those people who keep dragging our boys down, I'm telling you that a lot people are willing to do hocus-pocus just for their faves. Just focus on supporting and loving the boys' music and other projects, that's already enough for them. I'm not implying that voting for EXO is not good, if that what's make you happy, do it. What I'm trying to say is that our boys already proved so much in the industry, it is wiser to invest your time and strength to EXO. I think a lot of pre-historic 😅 ExoLs can agree on me with that. Plus the boys actually didn't want us to give all our time and efforts to them, they want us to do good in life. You can find everywhere in the internet where the members scolds ExoLs who's not studying just because of them or skips work just to see them. Even in buying albums and merchs they always reminded the ExoLs to buy only one and use the other money for themselves. Again, I know it hurts big time that our boys gets to experience this kind of things but I'm telling you showing them lots of love and support will always be enough for them to keep going. Seeing many fancams from many sides that night, all the members were seen crying, even Kai looked down and sobbed in tears. After that I saw Super Junior calm and give support to EXO. They knew everything that night. All EXO- L cried because they were hurt seeing their idols being mistreated and getting cheated, and EXO cried hurt seeing EXO-Ls hurt and crying because of them. Idk to explain it, we cry over each other. EXO were victims of chart manipulation multiple times. The Hanteo chart (a very known music platform) was the one that went viral Hanteo manipulated EXO's album sales in 2017, we complained a lot but no one believed us, after 14 months I SAY 14 MONTHS EXO ls were proved to be right. Hanteo apologized and admitted that they really manipulated EXO's album sales. In 2016. Melon Music award denied an award which rightfully belonged to EXO. When fans demanded an explanation from the show conductors, they simply stated it was due to *internal data*. But on October 2017, Melon released the details of most streamed song in 2016, and it was EXO's Monsted, with 190.898,389 streams! Gaon made several last minute changes to the award qualification criteria. Seoul Music Award (SMA) did not nominate EXO for the 2017 awaed categories even when EXO was perfectly qualified for all the top awards. And a lot more shit and disrespectful behaviours toward EXO. Lots of artist know not just EXO and complained about the chart manipulation and the unfairness. It is from these many circumstances that rumors arise that an idol group (muted) and their new agency pay a lot of parties to win its idol group, to make them on top and get a lot of attention. See? Almost all fandoms know and agree with this rumor. Here I realize that there are many parties who attack EXO because EXO is in the top 5 consecutive years, even now the strength of EXO-L is still above (after a lot of traumatic experiences). The fact is that EXO is still the holder of the most awards so far (117 awards on music shows and 159 other awards. I'm sure in 2025 EXO will get even more). Imagine if EXO didn't get bad treatment, I'm sure they will still be number 1.

Universe song did really good in Soribada chart. The song have the most streaming song that year. Only left behind Wannaone song for download, n we also lead the vote. In GDA 2018, GDA suddenly changed the criteria for Daesang winner after 30 years. Thats ridiculous like they just wont give to EXO n make sure EXO didnt fit the criteria ; they didnt count repacked album if new songs less than 5-6, n as you know, EXO repacked "Power" only have 3 new songs. That was so obvious. SMA 2018 also did dirty, they even didnt nominate EXO for Daesang since the 1st place haha...unfortunately EXO in Japan that day for 1st Japan album promotion, so they were absence. SMA also scammed EXO-Ls, they announced EXO would come but in H-3 if i am not mistaken, they just announced fix list n EXO didnt attended. But most Korean EXOLs already mass buying SMA tickets like you knw thats something we called EXO-Ls culture to fill the most venues whererever EXO go. We felt so bad like they only want using EXOLs to cheering up the events.

If I was not mistaken, I remember they also mentioned that Xiumin worked hard for that solo performance, so we were so shocked and sad for Xiumin and the sched change at the last minute so... Also the picture of baekhyun at 18:05, (If I was not mistaken) It is captured by fans and it was before they win, basically Baekhyun was just crying while sitting there , but fans said that it's because Baekhyun knows everything that are happening during that time and how fans worked so hard (also the reason why he really tried not cry when they went to the stage to get the award and cheer up EXO-Ls) I also remember that Actor Song Joong Ki (the host that time, also a friend of D.O) said that D.O and Xiumin are crying at the backstage , it made me cry so much because D.O and Xiumin are known for being the members who are very rare to cry

Imagine this being the 1st award I voted for, the 1st award I watched EXO attend, and then it turn out like that. I was scarred.

The trauma still haunting me😭 I still remember how hard I cried on that night it's hurt my feelings so much. We put a lot of effort and times to vote for EXO and we're so happy that they literally won in voting for all the categories but end up they only brang one award home on that night. Plus, it was the last award left on that night imagine how tensionn EXO and EXOLs facing on that time. I cried even moree when I see my bias, Chanyeol cried like that😭 I never seen him crying like that but mnet just disgusting mistreated our boys. We're so mad and I swear I can't forget what happened on that night. Everything is still clear in my mind. Starting from that day, I never watch MAMA anymore..the funniest thing is everyone agreed that MAMA is boring when EXO was not there. Their rating drop. Good job MNET KARMA IS REAL. Finally you made a reaction about this! I really want to share that video to every new EXO-Ls! Coz this video is also one of the proof how good and talented are EXO to the point that even award shows, other entertainment or any other groups are threatened to EXO. EXO is a big threat for them until now! And as you can see, actually in addition with the lighting of their performance, it was really dark, there was only some lights was on. MNET really wants to give EXO a black ocean and black out performance. Unlike the other award shows performance of EXO, it was colorful, appropriate lighting were given to them. But in MAMA 2017, it was almost a black out performance! That was the WORST, TRAUMATIC, AND BULLSHIT THAT EVER HAPPENED TO EXO. They dont deserve that. And so does to EXO-Ls! I still can't forget the anxiety i got on that night. I cry like hell, i was mad and upset. Exo didn't deserve that.

Exo and exols... We are stronger than before. Every year we got many hurts but we got more great things than that hurt. It's why exo and exols still no 1 until now. It has 9 years since exo debut.. It was so great. And we will make a lot of stories again with exo.

Dulu waktu jaman MAMA 2017 itu, (jaman kuliah) aku dan temenku yang sesama exo l, dikos rela bela belain begadang live streaming ntu acara, cuman mau nonton exo (yang difikiran kita, kenyataan dimana voting exo menang semua kategori (gua tau karena gua sendiri ikut berjuang mati matian untuk vote). Niatnya cuman Mau liat exo menangin award2 itu... Eh,, pada akhirnya, waktu nominasi2 dibacain (nominasi yang ada exo nya), kok ada yang aneh.. exo berulang kali ga menang padahal secara voting exo menang. Pada akhirnya nangis dong gua sama temen gua,, gara2 cuman menang satu award doang diakhir (daesang AOTY) dan liat chanyoel speech nangis (sekaligus liat ekspresi member2 exo lainnya disana, suasanya jadi sedih bgt). Mungkin waktu itu juga, exo dan exo l seluruh dunia ikut menangis kalik kalo bisa digambarin.. Sumpah itu moment terparah dan paling bersejarah yang pernah aku alamin selama jadi exo l.. (sad moment bgt). Sedihnya, bayangin sakitnya exo dan exo l yang berjuang begitu keras tapi dengan mudahnya dicurangin kyak gitu🔥😎

One of the thing that I still remember from this award show, one of the category was Best Collaboration (something like that). If my memory was right, based on the voting, Baekhyun (& Soyu) was 1st place, second was IU and 3rd was Chen (& Dynamic Duo). I really don't mind if Baekhyun or Chen won the award. I was expecting Baekhyun to receive it based on the vote. But Chen was announced as the winner. I'm proud of him, but for me, this really said something about Mnet and MAMA.

You know losing awards wasn't that bad it isn't the first time something like that happened but the exo-ls were physically hurt which just breaks my heart

it was a TERRIBLE NIGHT (super-junior told us that suho and d.o. cried at the backstage too!!!suho was trying to stay stable as his role as a leader but he crushed down at the backstage, as well as d.o.) since that year SM's artists don't appear to Mnet's events or broadcasts (YG's artists didn't come since 2015 due to YG vs MNET bad relationships and mistreatment to BIGBANG) and since that year exo didn't go to any awards show!! only for festivals or year-end events! exo were mistreated in awards winings in 2018 too, btw, but not in such a brutalistic way! (also the thing that Mnet did to exo in 2020 by showing the pictures of chanyeol crying in 2017 MAMA with the caption '' tears of joy'' (!!!) and exo-l went mad and asked Mnet to remove it !! I mean - tears of JOY !?! how dare...! he was crying because of Mnet and they used it to make exo-l come to the event even though exo weren't there that year!!!) that midle finger picture is of got7 fans! I think it was from that night but they did use it at that 2017 MAMA against Mnet because of the shame of shading other groups (shout out for them!) btw - exo got into Guinness Book for winning AOTY 4 time and few month after it they won it for the 5th time !!! still the great record like most of exo's records that are still in their pocket event thought since 2018 SM didn't gave them a propriate promotios - they are still on top with their records and wininngs. BTW - that night Baekhyun tried to comfort us in such a sweet way as he always does, nad that was a day after he was expoased by anties for speaking unformal at events with fans (he does it all the time and the fans even calls him ''baekhyuna - unformaly and on twitter posts we talk with him in an unformal way -- he is the king of the fandom . king of eris [aka exo-l]) but he was like '' f* u, me and my fans are going to keep do that as always. we are in our own world'' lol xiumin very known for wanting keeping his emotions private, and this his is charm - a soft & sweet but quiet. but that night he cried like a baby and said emotional speech unlike his usual being And Chen as usual, will always find something good and not militant to say! He's such a person with positive thinking that it's impossible not to think he's an angel!

I voted EXO for MAMA for a conscutive years including that year. And I almost stream MAMA online that day. But a few circumstances prevented me that day so I didn't have the chance to see they performed and received the award. But Then I found out about all the mistreated,robbed through the internet later that night after the awards was over. I was devastated. I know I wasn't there, I wasn't even watched them that day. But I'm ExoL. I spent my times for days to vote for them. All of us did. and all of us expected to see they received the awards but getting robbed wasn't expected. I think that was the hardest moment after what happened a few years before that.I almost gave up from being an EXOL but I remember I spend my youth stanning over them. Why I need to let them go during these hardship. I need to stay with them. So I decided, I'll always support them no matter how we get robbed or how dirty they did us because EXOLs is the most strong fandom that I've ever known. I'm lucky to be one of it. I'm lucky to stan the right group the "well manners idol" the group that always educated their fans.I'll wait for them until OT9 comeback and support them through out their carriers. ❤❤❤

YOU DON'T KNOW. To clear things out let me tell you a story or more like a nightmare - DECEMBER 01, 2017 EXO were not fine since they stepped on the red carpet. Exo-Ls were not fine since they entered the venue. The disrespect was on another level. Chinese Exo-Ls were beaten by the staffs that wanted to take their lightsticks away (even though ligjtsticks were allowed) and they were mad and disappointed and fckn angry and everyone in the fc knew what happened. Exo knew too. Sehun went on weibo during the ceremony and read all the things cherries were writting. Their stage was cancelled and then moved earlier and they didn't know until they arrived there. Other stuffs of Mama turned off the Mnet lightsticks during Chanyeol's performance (imagine if exo'ls didn't have the aeribongs that those staff wanted to take away). They were pissed and mad and seeing them on stage like this was not something we'd seen before. Even Baekhyun had a numb face. During speech, he asked us not to cry because they received a big award and laughed. That was sarcasm at its finest, if you know him, you get him. Minseok lowkey told mnet they can't stop them no matter how hard they messed with them AND Chanyeol was crying... like he usually DOESN'T, and not because he was super happy and excited, he really didn't expect anything good. He was grateful and he felt sorry for us. They knew the fans wanted to leave but stayed and cheered for them. Yes, we're stressed over a month for nothing. We worked hard to be beaten, robbed and to see Exo mad on stage. It's okay for us not to win those awards if we had ACTUALLY lost but the proof says 'NO. After they received that one award, exo being the old exo, managed to bow 90 degrees and suho still thanked exo-ls proudly. Nephi i became an EXOL around the end of 2018 right before TEMPO era ...i voted like crazy twice on Mnet 2018 and 2019 because i didnt know about this then...both times we voted for Chen for best vocalist and we got him 1st place both times and guess what happened they gave the award to other artists just like MAMA 2017 in hongkong.i was sooo mad... other EXOLS told me about this day and i stopped since then and im glad someone made this video because fanwars went on because of this and at least now everyone knows the truth from EXO and EXOLS point of view .... Thank you Nephi for this at least now you know what went on and lets not waste anymore energy on rigged award shows..i still vote for them but on awards thats not related to Mnet aka SNAKES ... Our boys really dont need trophies or Deasangs, they only need EXOLS and we only need them, trophies cant even come close to what they have achieved throughout these years. Its our memories together that counts and just like Suho said in 2019, : "EXOLS ARE OUR DEASANGS"

Story time! Way back 2017 we have voting squads. We divide our members into 2 groups. While the other side of the globe sleeps a group will vote for exo and vice versa. We had to do it in between our breaks. I remember voting while eating my lunch and while resting. I'd have every device available at home just to vote. Our group even paid for vpns for easy access of the site which is actually pretty shitty (just saying). We did it for a month. Then during MAMA, I've never cried so hard out of frustration not until that day. Lol.
