EXO saw every part of the mistreatment that night. They were watching the fans so intently, seeing all the fans cry and getting mistreated by the staff. The fans were practically bawling by the time they won album of the year and you can see EXO crying for the fans too. And when the caption "Tears of joy" was put on their 2019 teaser the fandom was HYSTERICAL. They had the fucking audacity to say that shit when they know what they did in 2017. You wouldn't know how mad everyone was that day. Some fandoms still use that image to hurt EXO-Ls to fuel fanwars.

In MAMA 2017, they went home with one award although everyone knew they should've won nearly every single one(especially back when EXO-Ls was the biggest fandom). They were even added to perform in the middle although they were one of the senior artist at the award show. MAM* is still sabotaging EXO and it's pretty well known. A few days ago, Soribad*(which have ties with MAM*) didn't add EXO onto their list of artists although they fit every single qualification. Even came up with a bs excuse so... you can look this all up, but the video explains it pretty well.

The thing is EXO found out about what happened to EXO-Ls *DURING* the show. They had been watching us all through the night and saw everything. The mistreatment towards EXO-Ls, the whole lightstick issue which they only took from EXO-Ls btw, they saw everything. Sehun saw the video on weibo during the show so they knew. So instead of enjoying the show, they were worried about EXO-Ls and our safety. We were crying throughout because of tiredness, hurt, frustration. Then they won album of the year, went on stage and just broke down because they saw what we were going through. And even before the award show season, EXO were victims of chart manipulations. In 2016 we complained to Melon that our streaming numbers were not adding up & we lost an award that was rightfully EXO's but all we got were excuses from the company about "internal data" and comments to shut up because "EXO were still doing well". Only for the real result to come out in 2017 with Monster being the most streamed song in 2016 with over 190 million streams. But they still didn't give EXO the award or apologise. In 2017, we were called liars for 14 months for calling out Hanteo on their manipulations on EXO's sales chart numbers only for them to publish the real results and show that we're weren't lying. They completely discounted EXO's Chinese sales which according to the rules they were supposed to include. Many idols/artists have complained about chart manipulations including digital monsters like IU so it was not only EXO that have been robbed of the rewards of their hard work.

Yes. A famous actor who was MCing(?) part of the Award show said that EXO really broke down, backstage afterwards. I think he said that Super Junior ( EXO's seniors in SM) had to comfort and try to calm them down.

But on October 2017, Melon released the details of most streamed song in 2016, and it was EXO's Monster, with 190,898,389 streams! Gaon made several last minute changes to the award qualification criteria Seoul Music Awards (SMA) did not nominate EXO for the 2017 award categories even when EXO was perfectly qualified for all the top awards. And a lot more shit and disrespectful behaviours toward EXO Lots of artists know not just EXO and complained about the chart manipulation and the unfairness Now Mnet officially no longer counts as a chart in Korea I saw this back in 2019 in trusted accounts and sites but i'm not sure if it's official!

Even Leeteuk from Super Junior asked the purpose of their appearance that night. They didn't even won anything that night. What they did that night were just supported and took care of their little brothers and sisters. Bruhhh I still remember Taemin and Super Junior were tried to comforted EXO. I'm still glad that SM family were there to support each other. EXO never care about awards, they said that multiple times and asked us to stop buying their album. They just care about EXO-L happiness and safety. That night they cried because of what EXO-Ls have gone through not because of awards.

I remember that day clearly. I wasn't an EXO-L then but boy did stan twitter blow up that night. We Cassiopeias where shocked because we all knew Exo's gonna take home at least 4 awards and suddenly MNET pulled something like this. Not to mention the violence of the staff against the Fans. I remember a video going around where Baekhyun an the other members where asking the crowd if they're okay. They were really shocked and even called out the security on it. I'm glad SM isn't sending their artists there anymore.

Being together, making great music and spending time with their fans is what they want, and it's what EXO-L's want too. Everything else is just so stressful. Being on top is fun, but if people get hurt and stressed over it, then it is time to change.

Fun fact: the viewership ratings actually dropped after SM's artists(Super Junior, EXO, Redvelvet and NCT) performances that night (MAMA 2017) and it felt like a good slap to M*et's face so they know not to disrespect these groups. On a side note I think some people just thought it was the ending since the two oldest groups that day (EXO, Super Junior) performed so they just turned it off🤷🏽‍♀️

I really like the fact that you guys aren't just reacting to mvs or live performances like other reactors. You guys are actually taking your time to get to know EXO and their past and who they are and I really respect you guys for that and I want to thank you for your videos because I really enjoy watching them.

The thing is, the voting was about 2-3 million gap in every category but the voting was only 40%of the criteria but that didn’t matter because the other criteria was sales and digital streams, which again exo was also #1, exo MET EVERY CRITERIA yet they won only 1 award, but “antis” thought we were mad because another group took those awards, but NO, everything we were trying to say was that exo met every criteria AND EVEN surpassed every single group that night by thousands Monster sold million copies Monster was the most streamed song/ highest digital points We did sue Hanteo for lying and people were calling us extreme and blah blah blah Anyways Also about the exols being pushed around, an exol had a heart problem and she was also pushed and had to be rushed to the hospital that day

I think the reason some fans from other groups thought it was dissing their own group is because some exo l’s were salty at other groups but they didn’t like try to diss them. Most exo l’s were very mature and didn’t blame the groups, cause they really should just blame mnet. But of course there were very few, (VERY FEW) that kind of implied that they were salty that other groups won. So basically this is all mnets fault 😂 They cause fan wars

@@lilybby but all SM artists are no longer promoting on mcountdown aka mnet music shows ... this has happened since early 2018 till now. You can check by u self, actually since RV "Bad Boy" Comeback.

Mnet also majorly disrespected Super Junior, another SM group (a legendary 2nd gen group) by making them perform one song (and again messing the order up). Despite that SuJu tried their best to comfort EXO :( I think that's also why SM decided to just not send their groups anymore. It's more of a "last straw" thing for me tbh, because SM and Mnet have been beefing since 2009.

Actually Chanyeol was totally crying to death because he is blaming himself for EXO just winning 1 award that night (which is not right to blame himself). But because Chanyeol participate a lot in their album that year he thinks that the music is not that good that's why they didn't win those award. And EXO knows and feel what Mnet do that night and seeing EXOL in the audience crying makes them more emotional.

So that's why I'm not watching MAMA anymore because i feel like trauma, hurt and mad😢😔

Actually Super Junior was there too during that night. Mnet last minute contacted Super Junior to perform but during that day they also cut Suju performance and even changed the arrangement of their performance. Suju and exo are SM boybands...

Guys, usually voting take 30% of the whole criteria bside sales, judging, etc.... Thats why, voting is surely important, thats why we EXO-L voting like crazy in every EXO nomination.. But since 2017 seems like Kpop industry so tired already seeing EXO-Ls always make EXO win in everything... I told u, EXOLs really experts on vote, especially popularity awards that 100% based on vote, like u knw, the beginning of this year, there were 3 popularity awards (Korean popularity, International popularity and China popularity) in Seoul Music Awards (SMA), n as exepcted, I AM SO PROUDLY SAY THAT WE WON ALL OF THEM!!! FYI, EXOLs unstoppable.... Even EXO stop coming to award events... We still powerful enough, as long the award show not cheating us...

Exo didnt cry because they didnt win the other awards, they cried because of all the bullshit that was happening, exo is very thankful of exo-l , if it wasnt for their fans they will not be this big. Thats why their are upset because exol put so much effort in voting. But even all this bullshit happening exo stayed professional and perform amazingly as always. Exo dont treat exol as just fans, they treat them as family ,same with exol, with all the years theyve been throu, since their debut. That why EXO-L is tge most powerful fanbase out there, you can look up articles and videos on how exol supports exo to the highest lvl, like their willing to spend millions. I was hurt because of two things: 1. How EXO and the fans were treated. 2. The fact that EXO was hurt for what happened

I can see that exo and exols bond is so strong. I think that's the reason why some members are crying that night it's because they saw the efforts and hardships of their fans specially in voting they give their best to make exo leads in every category and thinking that their fans effort aren't paid off because they only won one award they think that their fans are sad so exo comforted them through their speech that it's okay and music is not competition.

and you know as an exo-l i get really sad because so many people assume that exo is bad and that they shouldn’t check them out bc of all the assumptions from anti-s and of course the rotten apples of the fandom 🙄 when in reality exo is such an AMAZING group that i think everyone should get to check out.

when I entered the fandom exo already stop attending award shows and exols boycott any voting. I only witness their voting power during FIFA POLL and SOOMPI BEST FANDOM AWARD. those are are base on Twitter and only last for 24hr. and that was legendary

I didn’t sleep either. I was live streaming since red carpet in my dorm... I was just crying as the award show progressed, and I couldn’t stop sobbing afterwards... I was in a livestream with other fandoms and everyone was shocked every time EXO wasn’t called,,, what people forget is that it wasn’t only exols expecting exo to win several nominations, but other fandoms as well!!!

Despite all this injustice that they were subjected to, they are still the best and most wonderful and we are still with them and we will support and encourage them because they deserve it and we love them #LetsLove💓 #WeGotThePower💙

I still remember this vividly. I wasnt personally there but I was there with EXO-Ls that night. Lots of international EXO-L were there. We're watching with them. We were with them. We cried sooooo much that day, at the end when they won we literally break down... we were sooooo angry upset worried about EXO and it was mutual, they were checking on us on social media etc Honestly the atmosphere during the show wa really awkward even others group were aware of what is happening to EXO

MNET DID EXO DIRTY - they collected lightsticks when EXO are performing at stage - in 7 awards but only 1 EXO did win when in fact EXO is totally IN in all that criteria - Best Male Group was given to wannaone where in fact EXO won that award by votings they get the highest vote but still they didn't win (not hating to wannaone i love them) - the disrespect, in korea the SENIORS must be perform in LAST but mnet change the performace for a last minute they put EXO first before wannaone (rookie group) - best OST, clearly chanyeol and punch won that award by votes but guess what, they didn't - the staff are hurting EXO-Ls physically using barricades ( EXO saw that thats why they're crying at that night) - during performace of EXO, the light was off how rude is that? - in mama 2019 mnet used Chanyeol photo of crying with a caption of "TEARS OF JOY" like wtf we all know the reason why he cried at that night and it's not because he's happy that because he knew what is going on that night.

EXOLs worked so hard on voting, i've never voted so hard for an award show like i did for mama2017. we voted day and night we really did work hard for it and EXO deserved those awards! that day EXO cried and we cried. they disrespected our boys I am glad that EXO dont attend mama anymore they don't deserve EXO.

The rivalry between sm and mnet actually dates back to 2008,, some backstory: - mnet is an entertainment company owned by the CJ E&M (entertainment and media), which is a division of the CJ Group -- one of the biggest companies within korea - cj e&m holds an insane amount of pull on the distribution aspect of music production within korea, distributing over 40% of physical albums within the country - cj has shares in dsp media (huge company back in the day that produced many of the 1st gen kpop idols (90s)) and yg ent. They were also distributing for jyp - sm ent doesn't only work in music, there are many subsidiaries within travel, retail, food etc. Including a company called SM C&C (culture and contents) which is an advertising and production company. breifly what happned: - sm distributes their own albums and content through sm c&c - as conglomerates, mnet distributes for all big companies in the music industry except for sm, so in 2008 they propose to distribute music of sm in return for a percentage of profit from the music sales - sm denies as they feel they can distribute themselves, and don't need to pay another entity for something they can do themselves - mnet undoubtedly held a grudge and snsd's gee 'fails' to enter top 10 for mcountdown until an entire month after release whereas gee was able to top all other charts for 9 weeks straight - sm boycotts mama 2009 and no sm artists attend except jyj (which ig weren't sm artists at that point ) - no sm artists received daesangs in 2009 mamas, despite of snsd's gee and genie

It was the worse experience to be honest. We never seen chanyeol cried that much and so are the other members. EXO knew something was wrong but still they mustered up their courage and acted like nothing happened for the sake of their fans. I cried my eyes out when watching MAMA 2017. Since then, I never ever even dared to watch again. EXO doesn't deserve that kind of shit

A famous actor who was MCing(?) part of the Award show said that EXO really broke down, backstage afterwards. I think he said that Super Junior ( EXO's seniors in SM) had to comfort and try to calm them down.

tomorrow i will celebrate my seventh anniversary, and i found this.. reminiscing about how exol has stayed together until now.. let's love our exo for a longer time

Honestly, I amazed with EXOL, they could find everything fishy and proved it to the world, they are kinda intelligent for EXO, EXOL isn't like the other fandom, they have the power and the brain which is in another level, that's why EXO is safe with EXOL, and that's why you shouldn't play with EXOL, you're in danger if you did something wrong with this fandom. I don't know how they do that.. but EXOL is the greatest fandom ever, they are whole package

i still remember clearly in 2018, i was new to the fandom and i was voting with so much passion and stuff. And then my friend came and she was like " Don't worry dear, they won't let Exo win even if we work hard." and then she explained what happened in 2017. I was like okay then leave voting and lets stream some videos. *Heartbreak* :((((

The show was 4 hours long and exo had to wait till it ended for that 1 award they won......

YG entertainment and SM entertainment didn't allow their idols attend here now. G-Dragon and Chanyeol made a rap for MNET you might check it.

I watched the awards on livestream, and I remember being perplexed as hell. I was one of those EXO-Ls that religiously voted everyday, and expected EXO to win more awards. I waited all night, and EXO ended up only with one. ONE!!! Plus, no offence to Wannaone, but how on earth did they win Best Male Group after only a little shy of 4 months of debut? They were nominated with veteran and well-loved male groups too! Then I remembered the company holding the awards is the same company who produced them...mystery solved.

when exo was mistreated that day I knew that they are the right grp to stan cz they got on mnet nerves by being talenteeed ... and now exo cleary said they dont care anymore abt ranking voting and award they just want to make music for us and they just wanna continue as 9 members to the death abd I live by that ❤

I always remember what Baekhyun said. Buy a padding coat instead of our album and take care of yourself.

I remember that day clearly, EXO-Ls who attended the award upload EVERYTHING that happened. And yes, I could see the videos where the guards crushed them with the bars so that they did not come out. LIVE. I heard them scream and be scared by the people running around to catch them, when they just wanted to get out of the place. MAMA security group basically held them against their freedom.

i love how that david dude felt our pain. not a lot of people try to even understand how hurt we were that day. also, one of the issues was that when exo finally won mnet played another group song... and on top of that there are insiders who saw super junior comforting exo since they were a crying mess and they like that not only because they felt the support but because they knew what happened to exols and they also felt so pressured and frustrated by the shameless mistreatment they had that day. that company is just trash.

That day was so hard, exols were very sad with the whole situation, i just wanted it to end soon for exo to leave that place. I spent the rest of the day very upset because exo made so much history in that shit award and mnet does that.

That day.. I as an Exo-L, cried a lot.. I was sorry about my group and my fandom who were there ... Mnet is nothing..

illegal votes can be by hacking the system, or simply using bots, since websites are pretty easily hackable. it is obvious to us because when you vote for mnet, you have to vote for ALL categories, clicking endless of time before actually submitting the votes. so the total of votes for all categories should be the same right? since exols have always been pro at voting, with exo being nominated since the 1st year after their debut, we're very organized with this. Immediately we noticed that votes for girl groups and solos and boygroups doesnt equate. and we know it's impossible to submit your votes if you don't vote for all categories.

I still remember this exactly. We made a group to do the votw so we can for 24 hours non stop. Its really a bloodbath vote tbh because exol againts with voting bot, but at the end exol still wins it. And at the award night exo just win 1 awards, we cried. All the bad things happend that night, we really felt betrayed and sad. Thankyou for make this reaction.

I cried a river for a long time after this happened in 2017. I cried too when the original video was uploaded. And my anger bolted up again and made my cry this time. MAMA made us all EXO-LS heartbroken not just for a night but for a lifetime. (It's not a funny thing tho)

That night was a mess not just for exo and exol's but but for other artist too. Just mnet was the most disrespectful and cruel to exo and exol. Even V from BTS cried that night because most of the artists was treated bad . And V and Bts is in a good relationship with exo the are realy good friends.

To this day, SM and YG artist never come to award shows. After that year us fandoms( Exo-l, blink,reveluv,VIP, etc.) promised to boycott MNET and MAMA. PS: even on 2019, bp sold out their concert in japan the same day MAMA 2019 was occurring( they even sold more that what MAMA sold) lol

I really hate remembering mama 2017 it really did break my heart i never voted in mama again.. I LOVE EXO WITH ALL OF MY HEART but those awards are not worth it really not worth EXO and EXOLs tears ..

I cried watching this. The YES from the crowd when EXO won the Album Of The Year (AOTY)award means even the crowd new they deserved it

I am really exhausted that day. The rest days I wasted for the mass voting, every day after shift I atleast give my 2 hrs using all my emails, asking for accounts to use from voting teams all of those were wasted. It's not about winning but wanting to give all the best to EXO but then we were completely robbed, abused and disrespected. I was hurt and cried after seeing Chanyeol crying, Baekhyun asking us to stop crying. Seeing EXO being disrecpedted is what really hurts us the most. It's jus so awful that after 2017 i stopped creating accts. I stopped joining to any voting teams or any mass voting. I stopped caring to any award shows. I just wanted exo's happiness.

EXO's speeched at that night says at all. Their speeches are so meaningful

That year is a very tough and hurtful year for both exo and exols and even As you can see the gap of their votes its really frustrating. A lot of exols went that night because they knew that exo won a lot but the opposite thing happened that night. Anyway thanks for your own point of view

hi new subscriber here. for the issue around @20:32 ,let me give u a quick info about exols. EXOLs are known to be the most friendliest fans in the whole kpop scenario. many other fandoms have thanked EXOLs numerous times because when EXO was at the peak of their career and the award shows were filled with EXOLs ,they never not hyped other groups up...they used to learn other artists fanchants as well just to support them and not make them feel any less than EXO. right after MAMA 2017, were the MELON MUSIC AWARDS(i think it was after 2 days) and EXOLs were so angered and hyped due to the recent event that they decided to fill the dome of the night and went all out to support EXO. That day was glorious istg and i still remember EXO tried as much as us to stay excited and happy...The award show at the end also thanked exols for filling up 90% of the dome. So u can imagine how hurt and shocked EXOLs were to behave like that in the middle of the ongoing award show. i wouldve done the same tbvh if i was there cz i spent a whole month voting with my 1 accounts and it literally used to take more than an hour, not to mention that i was a uni student and had to do it all with my 12 hours of study. i used to get so tired but never stopped voting. i knew many of my EXOL friends who also had lil time for themselves bcz of their studies but they were also voting non stop. after all that hardwork we gained literally nothing and one other specific fandom mocked us to the core even when the exols were pushed and physically violated. i swear im getting angry just by thinking that night. thank God EXO dont go to these shitty award shows anymore

Even some days before, Mnet again did there trashy work against EXO. They blurred Lay's face in growl MV and telecasted that on their show while Lay is still an EXO member!!! Like what kinda behaviour is that!? Just imagine how the members would feel after seeing that!? MNET is just shameless. They are so much obsessed with EXO

I definitely think everything needs to be and is context-driven. Whenever I see a picture or a hashtag or someone ranting I try to find the context. I think it's almost childish to believe things at face value because there is almost always a deeper context that isn't seen right away. Aside from people that are just trash and start fanwars for their own enjoyment, this lack of context is what could start beef between fandoms. I understand that you could get emotional and just ride the wave of emotions you feel w/o looking for that context, but I still think it's something that needs to be done more.

This is just about MNET vs EXO, you wouldnt know how other music charts and othr voting sites manipulate other EXOs awards. A lot of them admitted that they did manipulate the votings. We Exols got receipts and evidence regarding how we vote and how EXO won the awards. We've got proofs. Last year CHENs awards for best solo artst/best male solo artist got robbed not only ines but twice. I was crying, we are crying. Its unfair that we spend hours and days voting without sleeping and somethimes not eating just to make sure that EXO will win. That is how we support EXO. We treat EXO as family. We are one. New kpop fans doesnt know about this but we dont blame them. Its saddens me to see other new kpop fans blame everything to EXO and to us EXOLs.

Because of that incident, Exo decided to never come again because they don't want bad things to happen to their fans and they cried not only because they were cheated but they cried almost completely because their fans were treated badly

@@yoongismom6340 i think it's supposed to be fans votes like 60% and music critics 40% or smth, not really sure abt precise numbers but fans votes are the major decisive factors
