I pulled the trigger. I left my 23 year teaching job to be an agent in the most competitive market in the country, South Florida. Working doesn’t feel like working, proud of myself for taking the leap😊

Thank you for this video. Just finished year 4 as a realtor. Started new part time job in July. I’m going to finish with my best year in real estate but will prospect before and after work hours. Won’t last forever but the new schedule has forced me to be more disciplined.

That's not easy when you work shift hours (12 to 14 hrs) nights and days. Sometimes I'm working 6pm to almost 8am. By the time i get home after traffic, I'm not getting to sleep until 1030am. I get about 3 to 5 hours of sleep and got to leave my house by 400pm to get to work on time. I'm working an average of 50 to 60hrs a week. The problem with all these real estate videos talking about working a fulltime job, they always refer full-time jobs as 40 hrs a week and having Saturday and Sunday off. This is not what half of us part time agents are going thru. I've been a part time agent for almost 3 years and literally hate my full-time job (there 23 years). I've been trying to figure out a way to transition to a fulltime Realtor, and definitely having a hard time. Everytime i find a video i think might help me, its always the same thing.....40 hrs a week and weekends off. Most blue collar workers work weekends, nights, and more than 40 hrs unfortunately. Not really sure what I'm going to do since I have medical insurance and have a mortgage.... but at this point, I'm seriously about to take a big chance and just go all in with real estate, and quit my job. Maybe just live a year off my retirement 401k with whatever savings i have??? Its very stressful. I love real estate, and its what I want to do. I guess we'll see.

I'm with you. I was a corrections officer working crazy hours, night and weekends. I switched my career to teaching with better hours. I could have asked for an admin schedule as an officer which also would have worked. I hope you find the solution 🤞

Great Listen! I have 3 months saved and would LOVE to do this full-time. I'll follow these steps for sure. I guess my only question is this.... Let's assume I get the 6 months of my salary, I get my 100 active leads in the pipeline...How can I keep working full-time with 3-5 active listings? Have you found that those listings can be managed outside the 8-5 schedule? The reason I ask is because I'm in state where my days consist of back-to-back meetings from 8-5 (including through lunch). If I were getting calls about active listings, it would be very hard to call people back. What do you recommend for managing that? Maybe a quick reply that says I'll call them back that evening?

Thank you so much for this Brandon and Ben. I'm in this exact situation. I constantly think to myself if I should "burn the boat" but I've always felt like it was foolish without savings. Like Ben said, you wouldn't get a Domino's franchise without capital, why treat a successful real estate business any different? P.S. Ive been in your coaching program for months now and it's been the best training on ANYTHING I've had in my professional life. I'll definitely be applying these 6-7 steps to finally do this thing full time.

Can y’all do a video about follow up with new leads? I feel like I have good conversations and the prospects tells me when to check in with them again but then never answer. I’ll call, text, leave voicemails… like 5-10 attempts over months and they don’t answer… do I just trash those leads?

Perhaps it’s not the work ethic or load that people are thinking about, perhaps it’s dropping that FT income, as Brandon mentioned that supports their family. When you 1 st kick off in RE it can be 3/4 months or more before you see your 1st pay check.

I'm really curious just how will I'm going to be able to generate the income I want. So many I've been successful mostly because of how chesp money has been the last 15 years. That's for now I'm walking into this as a supplement of income. I did take a demotion for my full-time job so I can work third shift to maximize my daytime hours.

Unfortunately, I would say that most people don’t get in this industry to be successful. Most get in because the government has allowed it to have one of the lowest entry barriers, so they get into it for the extra money/vacation money that they think they can make.

This was the main point… most part-time agents ask this exact question but my question would be, If you go full-time and are successful meaning you’re managing a full client load, your still going to have to find 2 hours a day to prospect, otherwise you won’t be successful long term. Having a full client load as a full time realtor is like having a full time job. If you can’t find time to prospect while you have a full time job, how will you have time to prospect when you have a full client load? This why this is the first step and test to put yourself through…

You can alway find that additional hour. What can you stop doing now in order to get that extra hour? Spend your lunch prospecting is where I would start? Spend an extra 30 mins in the morning and 30 mins in the evening if you don’t have the “full hour” to dedicate at any given moment, etc. get creative.
