I still regularly play TOCA/V8 Supercars 2 and 3, they're so good even by today's standards. We really need another dedicated Codemasters Supercars game

Timeless games with great cars and tracks. I spent thousands of hours as a kid doing 161 laps of Bathurst and Indy 500's with my mate. No pit stops or flashbacks made boys into men

A "simcade" style game with a simple career mode from good devs would be lit. Something like the nascar or MotoGP games. It doesn't have to be crazy with motion capture cut scenes and all that. The devs that make Nascar or the SRX game could probably do a really good job. Nice and simple.

You’re still in the 2000s there mate. I think you’ll be the only buyer of such game. Have you heard of iracing? That’s where we’re at these days with driving games.

@@lesblase3667 lmao yes I play iracing. The problem with that is the disconnect from the actual series and the lack of casual playability. When I feel like being competitive and feel racing other people I'll do iracing (although very few people even do supercars on iracing) but if I don't feel like getting angry at an incident or setting up the rig, it would be cool to have an authentic casual controller oriented game that isn't just about the cars, but the series, the tracks and the drivers. Many people would buy it, honestly more people would play that than the 3 to 11 people that do supercars on iracing, I mean there's multiple people in this comment section asking for the same thing. You're definitely wrong here, but it's all good.

@@lesblase3667 not everyone can afford cockpits, pc’s and steering wheels mate. The old v8 Supercars games on ps2 days were perfect. Based on Supercars but also had alternative cars and series in the campaign/game itself. Something like forza for example is perfect but more cars and tracks too suit the v8 Supercars

@@LKR6c You really don't need loads of money to get into sim racing. You can get second hand g27s that are pretty affordable and mount them to your desk. I use ACC and iRacing and don't have a rig. I luggage strap my chair to the desk lol. iRacing also is very easy to run on modern PC's.

Would be great if Codemasters make a fully licence V8 Supercar game. Could add the cars from different era’s and some of the classic tracks as well as the current cars/tracks.

I think their best bet would be to add an expansion to Assetto Corsa Competizione with a track pack and cars. Like they have done for GT4. Putting in the work to make a sim from scratch is huge work and will probably not be as good as these high quality sims already in the market.

I agree keep the old cars and drivers and add the new cars and drivers etc. They could update the graphics as well and it’d be a game i would play forever. With how things are today they could add options where you can play as legends in the old commodores and falcons from back in the 80s/90s. So many possibilities they could come up with!

Missing Gran Turismo 4 which also has the same Falcon as GT3, and you are missing both Project CARS 1 and 2 which have the FG Falcon in them

Please just make a fully licensed game with motorsport games or codemasters. It would be awesome to have a fully licensed game with maybe some classic cars and tracks. It would help get the sport out to more people around the world. But if your gonna do it please make it one of the best touring car games ever. Please take advantage of the rising popularity of racing games. Please and I'm confident from the comments I've read I'm not the only who wants this so badly.

@@RynoGaming17 You gotta remember I wrote that 8 months ago. Now I'm with you that Codemasters should be the ones to make a game if it ever does happen. I admit it I got it wrong. But we desperately need a fully fledged Supercars game. We've been wanting it for a long time now. Not a DLC for Forza or GT7. A game of our own with all the tracks and all the drivers. It would be amazing. So please just give us the fans what we want.

Well, there is a holden commodore in Stock Car Extreme, Automobilista/Automobilista 2. It drives/sounds awesome and it's in the base game not a mod or dlc

Supercars 3 was good fun, Assetto probably has the best V8's experience though it's a mod. These days I only run iRacing as it's really the only place for weekly sessions and lots of people to drive with.

Having the series in video games is a masterpiece, because we want players around the world to drive our cars. 🏁🎮

rFactor 2 has some great Supercars mods, and even the Touring Car Revival throwback to the late 80's and early 90's.

V8 Supercars 3 is goated 🐐

I remember playing the original V8 Supercars as a tiny tot. My Dad had that game (as well as some Need for Speed games). I was born 2002 when it came out. Lotsa fun. This is really cool

V8 Supercars in TOCA RACE DRIVER 2, 3, and GRAN TURISMO 4 all still impressive till this day.

It makes more sense to include RR3 than Assetto Corsa, which has never had V8 Supercars

You guys should partned with RR3 again with the Gen 3 Supercars, that would be sick!

I've played most all of these since about 2004. Up until now though , the most realistic one ( to me ) is the V8 corsa 2014 / 2021 Mod for AC. The way the cars react to the track , to the physical laps times and so forth compared to real life , ....there is nothing better. That is with being said , AC keeps evolving with the biggest modding group on planet earth , by far. AMS 1 and RF2 are also incredible.

You forgot the best of all, V8 Supercars for Rfactor 2 from 2014 to today and beyond. A new version brought out each year and the 2022 version will include Gen3 spec Camaro and Mustang.

Forgot automobilista 1 and 2. AMS1 has the best physics for a supercsr I've tried so far.

I think it's well & truly the right time for Supercars to bring out a console/PC game. Allow us to race anything from an XY Phase 3 to the current Mustang & Opels on Australian & NZ tracks.🏁

Gran Turismo 3 took things up a few notches.

These are the best cars to drive in Assetto Corsa. Take a V8Supercar for some hot laps around the Nordschleife and suddenly every other car just seems boring.
