No hanafi disagrees to it. However the condition is THICK SOCKS as this shaykh himself says "thick". And fuqaha have described the meaning of Thick in detail. There is no need to fool people and try to convince them wiping over normal socks.

He further explains that thick means where you cannot see the skin. Also explains how Imam Abu Hanifa had made masah over normal socks

On the contrary Hanfis today reject even the word Jowrabayn, they only insist on Khufayn.

No this is not what thick means according to the interpretation of the fuqaha and the madahib have made a clear explanation of the word "thick". Apart from the overwhelming ahadith and unanimous agreement of all the madahib, the modern day scholar Saudi Scholar Shaykh Bin Baz also disagrees with wiping over normal socks.

The madhabs came to code-ify the religion. All have their respective opinions with corroborating isnad. We should be grateful. If people / sects disagree, then alhumdolillah but with some respect please.

As far as I understand Mas-ha of socks is allowed if you're wearing like leather socks where water can't get through it and they are hard to take off of your foot. They have to be I think above your ankles. I have learned this from a fiqh book. In military/fighting they wear long shoes which are like socks to be mobile and fast and they are made of leather and have many knots they use Mas-ha on that.

they don't need to be of leather. they need to be thick, don't need to be waterproof, must not allow water to reach the skin immediately, not tear up from walking a distance of about 3 miles, cover the ankle and stay up without being tied

are you special? A madhab is a school of thought for jurisprudence. Without this it would be every layman for themselves.

@@FactsWithActs are you special? If you wanna call yourself something else than muslim, then you need to rethink. If I’m special to call myself ‘Muslim’ as instructed by Allah in Quran, then you are wrong. I would better be called a layman than to follow anyone other than the Prophet (PBUH) !
