    and because of the wiping thing that it has to be an area of 3 fingers, should the fingers be spread while wiping (and is it valid if my fingers were spread while wiping)?

    Salaam, Yes you spread the fingers but if you didn’t or if you just placed your three smallest fingers on top of the sock then the wiping would be considered done. The sock must be thick that water not penetrate straight away. Thick that colour of skin not show. Being total water proof is not a condition

    Salaams, brother. Thank you again for the incredibly helpful tutorials. I'm unable to find videos 8 and 9. Have they been discontinued? Also 11, 13 and 15 too, I've just realised. Thanks

    also, do you have to follow a school of thoughts fully, like following hanafi in all areas or can you follow hanafi when it comes to wudhu, shafi when it comes to prayer etc?

    Salaam, no you may not do this. This may lead to a condition called Talfiq. This is a dangerous situation to be in as you could render your worship void in “all” schools. It’s best to stick to one Madhab unless you clearly know your fiqh and the fiqh or a point of fiqh from another school that you are interested in and a specific condition that would entail that you pick from two schools. So in short, stick to one school and master it.

    @@AhmirNawaz I understand. I have it a bit hard to pray because I‘m a revert Alhamdulillah, I try follow the Hanafi Fiqh, but it is not permissible to put prayers together so I thought it might be okay to follow another Madhab in this particular ruling, but I also heard it‘s not okay. Do you know if there are alternatives based on my situation? Also, BarakAllah Feek for helping

    Salam Aleikum, is it permissible if the socks are thick (but not like socks you would use to walk outside), because I‘m revert and have difficulty making wudhu at home, thus wiping over them ist easier because you don‘t hear the water a lot.

  • @AhmirNawaz

    Salaam, the condition of wiping is not that the sock be made of leather, or it be totally water proof etc. Being water proof is an attribute that describes its thickness. Being able to walk in it also describes its thickness and not being able to see your skin also describes its thickness. So you can wipe over thick socks that are for example sports socks or outdoor trailing socks. The sock should be thick enough that the water not reach the inside straight away. If it does after a while then that is fine. A thin sock would not fulfill this condition as the minute you put your hand on it, the water would seep to the skin. With thicker socks it wouldn’t.

    As-salaamu alaikum Ustad, is it okay to put the socks on a couple of hours after washing the feet, taking into account that the person is in the state of wudu?

  • @AhmirNawaz

    Salaam, yes you can do that. In-fact you can take them off and on multiple times if you have not broken your wudu.

    @@selinagursoy8267 If you are in wudu you can change your socks as many times as you like and it will not break the protective barrier given by the socks which can enable wiping them (providing you fulfill the conditions of thick socks)

    If i perform ablution, put on my socks and then break my wudu, do i then perform ablution all over again and do masah of my socks Or do I just do masah of my socks and nothing else

  • @AhmirNawaz

    @AhmirNawaz

    Жыл бұрын

    Salaam, if your wudu is not complete yet while you had out the socks on and you broke your wudu then you wouldn’t have to relive the socks and wash everything that needs to be washed for wudu. However if you have a complete wudu and then put socks on and break your wudu then you just need to make wudu and wipe over socks again without washing them. Your 24 hour would start from when you first broke your wudu after putting socks on

    Salaam, the ruling is the same in alla madha’b. If you break your wudu you have to make a fresh complete wudu again and when it comes to your feet If you have socks (thick) on then you just wipe again until the wiping time is up in which case you have to wash feet again
