Everything You've Ever Seen About Cuba Is A Lie

60 years ago, Communists seized power in Cuba and all private business and industry were nationalized and the Cuban people have lived under Socialism ever since.
Did the theft and redistribution of all wealth and property lead to prosperity and justice for the Cuban people? Many American Leftists would have you believe just that.
Turning Point USA traveled to Cuba to investigate the true realities of what a generation of full Socialism has done to the once-thriving Cuban population.
What did we discover? Everything you have ever seen about Cuba is a lie. #SocialismSucks

But that's not the solution. That's a hyper sensitive reaction as a result of a socialist model in another country that doesn't work. America has never been, nor ever will be a socialist country. It simply will not happen. The horror stories that you hear coming from the mouths of Republicans are just that; horror stories. They are designed to totally exaggerate the currently political position of the United States. So the mere mention of shared public services, and Republicans go into hyper-reactive, fear ridden over drive mode that the US is being taken over my communists. It's simply idiotic. How do you think many European countries who use hybrid models function? We're doing quite alright over here. There are strong points in both socialism and capitalism that can be morphed into a system of rule. It's obvious socialism doesn't work. Anybody with even half a brain can see this. But the hyper reactionary response to become painfully republican is not actually the best solution. That's akin to travelling to the most Southerly point of a land mass because there happens to be a hornets nest up North. You get me?

Wake up people and vote Republican and let's get rid of this Commie bastards that want to destroy this country including Antifa, those four ugly ass Representitives that all they do is criticize our President this country, that Muslim that hates God's chosen people, and says what happened September 11,2001 it's a myth. Or that crazy ass Ocasio saying she doesn't wants to defund the police, and wants to install Socialism. Send them all to Cuba see how they're going to last or that Commie country of China. When they open their mouths, they'll put their brain dead asses on jail, probably tortured or worse! Like I said I should know I was born there and still have family out there, and they are going through hell everyday! The only difference is I left when I was little and proud to say I've been living in the greatest country in the world for fifty two years! God bless Israel, U.S.A. and I pray to God all these Socialist and terrorist Muslim countries will be defeated in the name of Jesus Christ.

It’s disgusting that my fellow Americans want socialism, yes capitalism isn’t perfect but it’s way better than socialism/ communism and my view is if you hate America, you want too destroy what We have and replace what we all have created which is our country the USA leave if Canada or Mexico is so great why don’t you leave but you don’t. Freedom is not free and there’s been so much sacrifice and blood given so the American flag stays flying so that We the American People can live the lives We want too live and that We just don’t know how good We Americans have it no wonder Cubans swam all the way too Florida so they can have a better life/ opportunity and chance at life and if the United States is so bad why do people all around the world immigrate too America exactly and also why does everything have too be about race? There’s only 1 race the human race division benefits no one it only further divides us.

But what pains me more is the indifference and mocking of most Americans when I warn them and tell them my story through my voice and the videos I've created... that's a real pain.

I'll tell you why: They probably don't really believe it themselves, but see it as a way to seize permanent political power. For example, if the Left really believed we were all going to drown in 10 years, why does AOC drive an SUV while running AC, or why does someone like Gore use a private jet, or why did Mr. Got-to-spread-the-wealth-around Obama just buy a $15,000,000 beach house? Because the beaches are going to be flooded within a decade? C'mon.

The Democratic Party came up with the Dreamer scheme and admitted it just so they could get more votes, which in turn gives them more money and more power. @@stellaz2595 Not really. The ultimate goal of socialism is communism. Socialist societies provide the catalyst to create communist societies. This is because of one simple truth: absolute power corrupts absolutely...and this is the dark side of human behavior...and any regulation that empowers one group of people over another will always put the group not in power at risk of being exploited. This was a really good video but I would argue it took 2-3 generations to reach that point. First-generation socialists tend to have the money their forefathers created to live off of for most of their lives, second generation start to see those resources be diminished and further (ahem and this is where communism comes into play) restrictions imposed. For most people this is the last safe, fight or flight phase before the system ends up like a communist system where travel restrictions are imposed as the remaining population becomes enslaved in order to support the ruling class benefiting from the labor of the enslaved class without "equally distributing" the wealth to everyone. The first lie people buy, to go into socialism, is that somehow everyone has a "fair share" to contribute. There is no such thing as the world simply isn't fair. In the darkest truths of a capitalist society the marginalized people are simply bred out, usually these people die of natural deaths and live full lives...in socialist and communist countries the most marginalized people tend to die out a lot quicker due to less available resources. It's also been noted capitalistic tends to lift people out of impoverished conditions where as socialist and communist countries tend to create larger pockets of impoverished people and diminish livelihoods.

I visited Havana for 6 days June 2022. The situation there is pretty dire, with people hanging on by their fingernails to make ends meet. The infrastructure in Havana is beyond crumbling due to lack of maintenance, and has been for a long time. Filthy streets with garbage piles on the corners and packs of flies. Crumbling sidewalks. Like many others, I took video footages of the vintage American cars in an effort to put Cuba in a good light, but honestly my experience there was third world. Although there are some good restaurants there (with much higher price tags), the food in general sucks with very little variety -- ham and cheese on stale bread or crappy pizza, and that's about it. Cuan cuisine would probably be much better if more ingredients were actually available......I did see some fresh fruit available in markets, although not a big variety (no oranges) as might be expected in a tropical country. Had I needed basics such as deodorant or toothpaste, I don't know where I would have gone to find them, though perhaps that Caribe hard currency store, which always had a long line. The bottled water shortage still exists in 2022, and 1.5 liter bottles are quite expensive when you do find them. I was never able to figure out why Tukola soda, the Cuban Coke variant, was so expensive, even at the black market rate, at 130 CUP. It's a real shame really, because the country does have a lot of potential. If I return there, I will spend more time in the countryside rather than a city like Havana.

Let's not be so naive. While the Cuban government's policies have certainly played a role in the country's economic struggles, there are other factors at play, such as the US embargo and other international sanctions that have restricted Cuba's access to trade and finance. Additionally, the legacy of Batista's corrupt regime, as well as the actions of Cuban exiles in Miami, have also contributed to the current state of affairs.

Have you seen a Cuban exports chart? Cuba trades with Germany, Canada, China, Spain, and the biggest economies of Latin America (Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Venezuela). The Cuban government even receives hundreds of millions of dollars as a "foreign aid" from the European Union. An Embargo (totally justified since Cuban govt stole plenty of American property in 1960) from a single country, disregarding how economically powerful that country is, cannot justify that there's not enough food in a sparsely populated tropical island.

@@zekehatcher2196 never have I ever heard someone supporting socialism because "I don't have to work". Maybe you mean, not having to work for landlords, shareholders, and other such remnants of the feudal age? How does that boot leather taste?

Not all socialism is the same, there are different versions of it, this is probably the worst one. China is a socialist country, and they are way more richer and more developed than Cuba. It really depends on who the rulers are, if they are crazy, dumb, or evil, this is what you get. So, the type of system isn't really to blame, it's the rulers, the people that controls the country. You can still have capitalism, but with a socialist system, where the government controls all aspects of the economy and way of life.

Silvia Toaldo Such a horrendous and sad situation for those sweet spirited people and the unbelievable hardships they’re going through on a daily basis. Just so the top can be rich and powerful beyond words, yet they don’t care about their own citizens dying in the streets from hunger, lack of medical supplies or lack of qualified Doctors and so many other necessities they need to survive. I’m so pissed 😤 and furious 😡 at the Hollywood rich and famous who went down there to meet with Hugo Chavez and make friends with this brutal dictator of socialism. Now when it’s all gone bad just as socialism always has, these rich fools from Hollywood are no where to be seen or there’s no sign of them helping out these people in serious need. It’s so sad and they should be ashamed but I’m sure they couldn’t careless now about any of the suffering, they have their riches and they never go without anything. Even Putin stated that they learned in the third grade why socialism doesn’t work and will never work, you can have some socialized programs if you have capitalism to raise the money for those programs, if you don’t have capitalism then the people’s money always runs out. Of course Putin is no great guy but at least the Russians 🇷🇺 learned from Stalin’s failed socialist utopia. Even Sweden 🇸🇪 is having to return migrants back to Turkey 🇹🇷 at least 100,000 to start and plans for as many as one million are to be returned with the deal they’ve worked out with Turkey 🇹🇷. They stated that the country hadn’t learned lessons that others understood and now they’ve got a lot to straighten out regarding their money issues, thief of personal property and the rapes, assaults and murders (many safety issues). So even socialism has a breaking point in small countries that used their money wisely but now they’ve learned a hard lesson that you can’t take in more than you can help. There’s been many issues they’ve learned the hard way and even through death 💀, so don’t let them use Sweden 🇸🇪 as a wonderful place where socialism is grand. Instead check on KZread and find out from the Swede’s themselves of what a horrible situation it’s been for the people of Sweden 🇸🇪. Please forgive any grammatical errors because I cannot find my reading/writing glasses 👓 anywhere (as usual), honestly I need a new prescription and a couple of new pair 👓 👓 then maybe I’ll be able to keep up with my glasses 👓 if I wear one pair around my neck on a chain. HaHa 😂 funny but so very true.
