I bought one of them with the new engine from jasper p.a and I can get it to work, 2015 5.3 suburban LT dod delete

I have the rtd . It came with a supercharger kit . The only thing I don’t like about it is that it can’t be used with the vim editor so if you wanted to make a simple change like gear ratios you need a tuner to do it and send the file. Had I known this I would have bought the mvpi2 and added the credits I had to it so at least I would have some options that I wouldn’t need a tuner or if I wanted to make some small changes and if it didn’t work I still have the original file to load back.

Hey Ken is there a minimum spec that the software needs to function on the laptop? What laptop do you recommend?

Last question once i get my tune they get my stock file and then i upload whatever they send after that am i good without anything falling apart able to daily drive a e85r on with roush intake carb legal, dont know if this make sense but im new to this thats why, just want a reliable weekend/ couple weekday drives until i go 50 state legal stage 2 whipple

I have a 2015 Mustang as well and had tunes from both Procharger (canned tune), PBD and my current local tuner all using the RTD device, but I notice that my current tuner uses a different Operating system. Versus the others... Does this make a difference? Seems like I cannot swap over to antoher tune without going through other steps... Is this usual?

So I bought a 2020 mustang gt that had come with the rtd tuner , is it possible to put that rtd tuner in my name so if I ever want to upgrade stuff I can?

If the rtd has credits for that vehicle then all you need to do is use it. You can order a tune and install it. Will not need any credits. If it doesn’t have credits then you will have to purchase them.

Maybe a dumb question, but in every tuner video I've seen before this it is always said "it saves your stock tune incase you need to return to stock" does this device allow me to do that? Also how do HP Tuners "credits" work?

When you do a read for the tuner that is your stock tune that you can put back in if you ever need to. Depending on the vehicle there are a certain number of credits required to use the RTD on that vehicle. Only have to purchase once per vehicle.

So if the tuner usually uses HPT will they still be able to edit the RTD files with VCM suite?

Hey bro how do I know if the credits where already purchase ? So I bought this tune from Lund racing and told me what mods I had in the car and so I did but they never told me anything about buying credits ? Or how do I know if I already have them purchase?

If you bought the rtd and tune from them. Then they are more than likely already on the rtd. Go to the rtd flasher app. Click on help at the top and resync device. If they are on there you will see it in the bottom of the screen after it syncs

I have an nguage that I picked up just to monitor knockr and others live when I’m not logging with rtd. If you can find someone that has one they are wanting to sell, you can still log with it even if it’s married to another car. As far as logging and loading tunes RTD is the way to go.

Once you have it setup it’s easier than sct. Plus it loads a tune in my car in under a minute.

Yea they change it up. Now just download everything from online. The link in the video still takes you to latest software.

I'd rather pay someone to do all this, I'm not computer savvy and this looks like a pain in the ass to do, I would be all day try to watch video and duplicate steps and still would have car screwed up, there's got to be a easier way to put a tune in a car
