Also, the car is haunted, meaning that it can drive itself. So Slappy does not need to reach the gas or actually steer. I mean seriously Jeremy if you actually paid attention to the movie you would've clearly seen a book titled "The Haunted Car" burning on the ground right in front of Slappy's car. And for that, I'm gonna give you 5 sins. *Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!*

I guess that explains it, but why HIM. I mean, how could his depressed energy do that? There MUST be other kids in the world that exist that were lonely and depressed and wrote, so why didn't their creations come to life? Also, why the HELL would he make MONSTERS. These monsters seem to HATE people and hurt them, including their creator/father. And isn't Hannah proof that Stine COULD write his characters to be loving and human-ish and not evil? So why did he make the OTHERS evil? Plus, he hated Slappy, which is understandable but why would you create something you hate? I won't deny that it's an explanation... but it's not very good and it's pretty flawed in my opinion.

  • @ohmahgawdfilms

Cynthia King Well in mythology. Creatures similar to the modern day "Slenderman" are created by intense emotions. Literally human energy manifested in the form of physical monsters. From back in the 1600s during the spanish wars a ghost like monster would appear on battle fields and kill indiscriminately. I suppose a similar concept could be added to this situation. His pain would have been incredibly intense and all focused into his stories. While it doesn't explain why the monsters stay within the pages of the books... Because energy is energy is energy, and we all know energy is hard to truly contain. So this would be summed up to movie magic. The energy he put into his characters was all that what we perceive to be negative. It was his way to outlet all of that painful hateful and depressed energy. So naturally the energy turned into monsters.

The haunted mask tv episode always made me really upset. The girls mom _tried_ to help, only for the daughter to straight-up _destroy_ the costume; but the girl was also having a difficult time, and the mom didn't seem to be paying much attention to her; then there was the nice old couple giving out apples only for the girl under the influence of the mask to pelt their house... It's one of the few episodes I've actually watched and I was so upset with the characters for most of it. The mask was awesome looking though. When I was in ~3rd grade I spent a lot of time in the school library just skimming the covers and looking at the art of Goosebumps and Dead-Time Stories, to the point I once had a dream where we had a stack of masks (sort of a cross between the Goosebumps ones and the Oni-Masks from Jackie Chan Adventures), they somehow got knocked into the bathtub and the water brought them to life. The green one from the book cover tried to gnaw on my head, so I bit it back before I woke back up.

I must’ve checked out the book from my school library 100 times, and most of the time I would return the book just to immediately check it out again. I have that book with me at my house and I love it so much.

10:15 I actually can explain it- It’s kinda like how in the Toy Story world, a child’s imagination gives life to the toy. Stines imagination gave life to these characters, and the way he writes them (ie physical descriptions, personality descriptions, their dialogue, their actions) makes them seem more and more realistic. Stine truly believes that these characters aren’t just words on a page, they’re real people. And as much as he doesn’t want his monsters to be real, they are. Because of him. He can’t just stop believing that Slappy exists, because he does. Slappy is real to him, and as long as he truly deep down believes that, Slappy will always come out of the book. Just like with Hannah. As long as Stine truly believes that these characters are living creatures, they will come to life.

My older sister and I had been screaming all of the monsters names everytime they popped up on the screen. I think the movie is more for the kids who used to read the Goosebumps books because if you haven't read any of them, it wouldn't make sense. To be honest, they didn't include every mosnter and I was pretty mad that only the popular ones appeared.

I can understand Cars 2, but this movie was... kinda forced? I mean, I had some laughs, I will admit that, but really, the plot could be better. I just think there went a lot of reutilizations from other movies (wow, main character meets hot chick who has a secret, can we mention the stupid friend too?). To be honest, probably I'm more pissed of by the forced romance, because that annoys me a lot. Everyone, and I repeat, *everyone*, has a romantic crush/relationship in this movie. Just... don't!

Did you actually see this movie? 1. It DOES say he has a magic typewriter. In fact the climax of the movie revolves entirely around the fact that that specific typewriter is the only thing that can defeat the monsters. 2. The movie does in fact state this version of R.L Stine is a serial recluse. 3. The car is from a book called "The Haunted Car". Thus it is haunted and doesn't need Slappy to reach the pedals. Yes it explains this in the movie. 4. The "wolf" is a werewolf(which you mention almost directly after). Werewolves more often than not wear cloths when in human form. I don't need to quote the book to show how a human wearing cloths is not ridiculous. 5. R.L IS weary of the ghost girl going outside. Also yes they explained this. 6. The gym shorts are part of the werewolf from his story, so of course they'd regenerate with him. 7. The dozen Slappys were mirrors reflections inside a fun house. 8. You admit the movie explains something to you but still sin it? Also you're misinformed, it never once said R.L had to write it. It was explained that just the magic typewriter was needed. Edit: I said things that were uncalled for and edited my comment to remove those things and further explained the points above. I am also aware that this is a comedy video.

+Domolikesyoshi "He outright lies about what the movie says and doesn't say, but it's for comedy so it's completely fine!" +Jayson Haddad He's literally lying about the movie and making it look worse than it actually is. He pointed out complete lies, but he didn't mention the fact that when he wrote down "all the monsters went back into the book" or whatever, the invisible boy apparently just didn't go in, which doesn't make sense.

+Prince Vade Eh, maybe that was a little too extreme. Though unlike the rip offs I always saw Cinema Sins as at least being fair when counting sins. I compared them to the rip offs because those tend to nitpick and/or nerdrage and not actually address real issues with whatever they're sinning. +iisgray I know this isn't a movie review channel and I know it's comedy. In fact I saw moments in this movie that I'm surprised they didn't use that joke, but as I mentioned before I noticed Cinema Sins was fair in what they counted aside from a running gag or two. +Domolikesyoshi As mentioned I understand this is a comedy channel, and I admit it was out of line for me to insult him in such a way. I've seen the self sin videos and that doesn't change my judgement on this one. +Jayson Haddad 1. I like this movie. 2. I'm not defending it. I'm pointing out flaws in the video. 3. I realize it's for comedy, but just like all things comedy is not immune from critique. It seems most who read my comment don't get why I was frustrated. The thing is he sinned things for not being explained, when things were clearly explained. Which gave off the impression that he either didn't watch the movie or didn't pay attention. If you reread my comment, you will notice that is all I focused on.

Oh and you forgot one that me and my friend recognized immediately after we finished. IF R.L Stine was to write “All the monsters” in his book, the invisible boy should be gone too, but he’s not! And also R.L Stine DIDN’T write “All the monsters” because we see him in that one scene where he breaks his fingers by Slappy in the theatre NAMING the laughing mask, the werewolf, all the other ones, etc, etc. So, why did he include Hannah in his self-naming list, because Hannah was gone, but the invisible boy wasn’t! Unless you’d like to think out of the box, I guess you could say either *A)* R.L Stine didn’t include the invisible boy OR Hannah, because he didn’t want to lose Hannah but just forgot Invisible boy, whereas that concludes of *Zach* writing something like “The End. Oh, and Hannah got sucked in too.”, *B)* R.L Stine included Hannah because movie reasons I guess??? But if this were real why would he choose to get her sucked in and waste a effort of writing a whole new book for her existence? (Bonus thinking outside the box: if he wrote a new book about Hannah there must be a plot, right? Therefore he must’ve written something with Hannah in the middle. Also, have you noticed that it’s only the... Er.... *MAIN* character aka the *monster* who gets sucked in? Because if there’s like a guy who befriends the snowman or something HE’S GONNA BE REAL TOO((if the book is opened, of course))THEREFORE HE HAS TO GET SUCKED IN TOO. So, in conclusion, that means only the MAIN CHARACTER gets sucked in.) *C)* R.L Stine forgot Hannah AND invisible boy. Butttttt that’s not possible so *BONUS FIVE SINS OKAY*

Cinema sins: they don't explain why the books unleash these monsters in the first place. A quote from the movie: "I need MY type writer." "That type writer is, special, it has a soul of its own." So basically the type writer is possesed by a ghost that makes the antagonist from the story come to life when opened. What they don't explain is how Stine knows this.
