This is him acting out to let everyone know that, while he's going to stay in the enclosure, he doesn't intend to do so quietly.

A big criticism of this movie I see people making often is "why do they transport Kong by boat? We see them use helicopters later, so why take the risk of sending him by sea?" There's a lot to unpack here, so let's start with the obvious. They need to get Kong off Skull *Island* and *across the Pacific Ocean* to *Antarctica.* Granted, we don't know exactly where in the Pacific the island is, but based on the climate Skull Island is in the tropic or at best subtropic zone. Antarctica is firmly in the Antarctic zone, which is a minimum of 2,000+ miles away. There is no fucking way those helicopters (CH-47 Chinooks by the looks of them) would be able to make that journey loaded down with a big ass gorilla strung between them. Even with the benefit of doubt an unloaded Chinook would have to take at multiple legs just to make it! Now a boat large enough to carry Kong would definitely have enough fuel capacity to easily make that journey. Sure It's slower and you risk running into Godzilla, but the urgency of the situation would make going by sea the more efficient method, rather then trying to deal with the logistical nightmare that would be attempting to take Kong by air. To those of you who stuck around and hear out my rant, thank you. I'm just sick of hearing this argument made by critics who aren't thinking about the nuances of logistics to their opinion.

@@emberfist8347 thanks, I'd forgotten there were some Ospreys in the mix. Though why you"d mix two kinds of helos together is just stupid. The coordination of a dozen whirlybirds of the same type for the project alone would be difficult enough, then you throw some Ospreys in the mix that have very different flight characteristics from a Chinook, and you're just asking for a disaster. Yes it technically could be done but it'd be hella tricky.

All that and you leave out a big crucial part of the equation: what method is more comfortable for Kong. The movie itself acknowledges that the boat ride has a considerable high risk of running into/being found by Godzilla, but you can clearly see that, regardless, Kong is more comfortable at sea than he would be in the air. Taking Kong by air would freak him out and he isn't going to agree with it (lord knows they won't force him to if the 1973 expedition serves as a reminder), best way is by ship and sedated (and constantly well fed) where he can be calm. Only reason they finally got Kong carried via helos was because he passed out in his first fight against Godzilla. Like Birdman says time and again: how is asking questions qualify as something wrong with a movie? _PAY ATTENTION, GODDAMN IT!_

2:31 - Even assuming that Jeremy understood the organization's history, why would he assume that Kong's facility would be an earlier one? 2:52 - Another thing about missing Kong, he isn't the only massive thing on the island, right? 3:44 - As usual, Jeremy complains when things are explained and when they aren't, so nobody knows what the hell he actually wants. 5:40 - There's also the fact that Jeremy is taking title animations way too seriously. 6:21 - The apple sins are nonsensical and pointless. 6:34 - Even if they know this isn't working, it's at least distracting Godzilla. That gives more time to any evacuation plans, which is kind of important when giant monsters are stomping around. 11:05 - Monarch has been dealing with Kaiju for a long time. Considering they had the tech to contain Kong, why is Jeremy even asking these questions? 15:46 - All things considered, maybe Kong just found the jet annoying and decided to toss it Godzilla to get it away from him. 18:26 - Jeremy doesn't know Kaiju movies, at all. I no expert, but even I know Mechagodzilla came first. 18:34 - Considering that humanity's strongest defenders in this series are both from nearly extinct species, making something that could replace them in case they die seems like a good idea. This concern is even more relevant at the time of the movie, seeing as Kong and Godzilla are at odds and one or both of them could die as a result. 22:50 - Godzilla could also take issue with the fact that Apex used King Ghidorah's remains to build Mechagodzilla.

Granted, the movie DOES have a lot of problems and its novel counterpart delivers on the battles (if not moreso) while also creating a stronger story and flushing out the characters. That said, Jeremy hit just about zero of those points and further Monsterverse lore like the graphic novels make his points even dumber. For instance, tracking Ghidorah's skull. The prequel book Godzilla Dominion specifically says Godzilla's tracking down the head he ripped off in Mexico as the thought of Ghidorah coming back while he's weakened concerns him.

Latest videos of CS have been "angrier Jeremy" and the "criticism" more annoying and nonsensical, borderline "ugh" and facepalm material. And I am still salty about them getting the 1976 relevance to Portugal utterly wrong

You know it is ironic that in EWW Godzilla king of the monsters he sin the movie for not having enough action, but in this video he sin the movie for having action which is easy to follow, not too dark or cut to the human too often

24:08 I mean seriously, in almost every movie that Mecha G shows up in, Godzilla always fights him! And again in almost all the movies Mecha G shows up in he turns on his creators. For instance the time Mecha G was made from Godzilla bones, the original Godzilla mind took it over, like what happens here IN THIS MOVIE!

My favorite tidbit about this film is that aparently in the novel they go more into detail on the war between Godzilla and Kongs People. And no. That's not a typo. The book implies that Godzilla soloed kongs entire species before hand. Long live the king baby.

Not really. Godzilla had his own people too, in fact the skull the Axe was in belonged to another Gojira. Gojira is the species, Godzilla is the Individual.

Yeah that’s a no, there was most definitely a war between Godzilla’s race and Kongs race. It’s a typo.

“I’ve seen monster fights so many times before.” “Neither of these two have elicited any emotional connection out of me.” it was at this point that is started yelling at my screen- dude, this movie has done nothing but make the viewer like kong, and they did a pretty kickass job at it too. Kong has been shown to be extremely human like, can communicate with people, and has yet to hurt someone who hasn’t already tried to hurt him first. King Kong is a likeable protagonist for this movie, and the fact that Jeremy says he “doesn’t care” about him, proves to me that he either doesn’t actually watch these movies, or he just doesn’t give a shit what he’s saying in his videos.
