ILLIT’s vibe (from aesthetics to songs) is undeniably similar to that of New Jeans, and while this type of mimicry is not uncommon in the kpop industry or entertainment industry writ large, I do understand why she would be peeved that colleagues under the same umbrella corp copied NJ’s style, which she and others had worked hard to cultivate and stand out in the industry. I would be incredibly pissed off as well. But, it shouldn’t warrant going to these lengths (assuming that all of Hybe’s allegations are correct)

Remember 80% of ADOR is own by HYBE so what works every one follows.every concept is not unique they have been recycled and used over and over again... no one is original except BTS they are one of a kind. Example school uniform concept everybody used it .. dance steps maybe ssme choreographer.. same props because same company that is Hybe to save money for video props and set... she started it all. What you sow is what you reap.

You wouldn't know how frustrated she feels unless you've had your own work plagiarized. It's not about power, I think. It's the fact that HYBE blatantly used NJ's concept without giving her due credit & respect. When you become a subsidiary under a corporation, even if you operate independently, you never really have control and there will still always be similarities in branding, training, concepts etc. Hybe (Bang PD) at the end of the day has controlling interest in all of those subsidiaries and it’s expected there will be a certain level of uniformity- the Hybe family. Her reasoning is petty and it’s smoke and mirrors…she’s trying to blame that as justification for her breaches??? She doesn’t have a leg to stand on. Hybe owns 80% of Ador. Min hee-jin is correct there is no chance of her taking over Ador without Hybe's permission. More likely that Hybe shareholders must want her to be CEO of Hybe for Hybe management to take such a dramatic action to discredit and to remove her completely. The takeover target is likely to be Hybe itself rather than just Ador.

I don't understand her. She said she don't want any groups to be called as the 'little version of NJ' when NJ themselves were labelled as 'upcoming BTS' ironic. If she was so firm about her concept of not gaining popularity due to the seniors' recognisation then she should have released a statement at the time when NJ were labelled as 'NEW BTS' and gained popularity. If i were to be honest I would have never listened to NJ if they were some rookies from other companies. Because I'm into HYBE and because theur seniors are BTS I expect NJ to be good as well and so I give their song a listen. So her saying that she don't want anyone to be labelled 'little ones' is irrelevant. Besides, her saying that other groups are copying the style 'she made' is wrong. She never made the style instead introduced it to the K-pop industry. It's called a domino effect. When an artist releases a song that is new concept wise, other artists can definitely try out the similar concept. As long as lyrics, melodies and storyboards are not concerned, she cannot say its a copy. I hope she understands this simple matter of fact and realises that its because of HYBE that the group she created has reached such huge level of success. The group has an immense amount of talent. I love the way all of them sing. I hope she does not ruins it.

Thanks to covered it in an insightful way, most ppl gives just one version when there's probably some true here and there and no one side want to really say everything. But it's true that with just 18% it's literally impossible to do all what is been claimed. I do think HYBE copied new Jeans concept, but why the hell did min hee Jin join hybe in the first place if she didn’t want to be controlled by them. Also, it’s fine for two groups to have similar concepts. After black pink came out, Alamo’s then entire generation of girl groups switched to the girl crush concept. Min Heejin was copying IOI because 101/IOI created a new audience that were attracted to debut high school girls. MHJ did not do anything new. It was just her type.

She wanted Hybe’s money but does not want their guidance. But Hybe has been successful due to an efficient system. If you have invested money on something you have to be protective of it. She got greedy wanting to upstage BTS instead of working with fellow co-labels. Poor New Jeans. This could affect their future.

Hybe has a bigger purse than she does to fight this! And she’s in the wrong - she will lose in Court and depending what kind of evidence they dig up, she could be going to jail. ‘Copying’ issues is not an excuse for breach of trust! She had the benefit of Hybe resources and used BTS to leverage New Jeans; now she wants to complain another group UNDER THE SAME UMBRELLA CORPORATION copied her group?! She just bit the hand that fed her and now she’s going to pay the price. Her reputation is destroyed - no corporation will touch someone who has been accused and/or is guilty of breach of trust and no investor will go anywhere near her now. She’s done. Worst of all, she could have jeopardized the Idol career of ten girls who are minors. The damage to their psyche is already happening. She would actually try to convince those girls to sue Hybe with her? One of those girls is 16 yrs. old. Dragging them into this is reprehensible!!!

But before we get ahead of ourselves, she doesn’t ‘own the rights’ (for want of a better expression) to NJ. NJ is under Ador of which Hybe has 80% ownership. She does not have the authority to take them and more importantly, NJ doesn’t get to choose. They are still contracted to Ador and Ador will still exist, even after this woman is gone. It just means there will be new management.

I'm not going to address the business stuff - that's inside Baseball stuff and it's probably going to require a court battle to get all the documents and find out what's really going on. Hybe doesn't exactly have a sterline rep either so I have to wonder if they're trying to protect something more than their artists' home addresses. I'm actually more interested in the plagarism accusations, and I think here Hybe is being just a bit disingenuous. Yes, you expect the competition to try and copy you and let the public decide about it. New Jeans' may be been tagged as BTS's "Little Sisters," but no one is going to mistake the two groups. I think MHJ has a perfect right to be annoyed. She was undoubtedly around as the group was being formed, and she probably asked if they were supposed to be a copy of her group. You think Hybe fessed up and said yeah, we're cloning you. No, he probably lied and said What? We wouldn't do that! MHJ came out of branding. To her, you want your client or product to be as unique as possible. Let's face it. Illit is a clone of New Jeans. Wouldn't you be annoyed if a friend copied your idea? At the very least, they should have gone to her and talked to her about it. Get her on board. Listen to her suggestions. Found a way to differentiate the two groups so everyone would be happy. They apparently didn't and MHJ was shocked to discover they were a pretty blatant copy. If you couldn't trust Hybe to be honest about that, wouldn't you wonder what else they weren't being honest about and start looking for a way to protect NJ's earning prospects? Hybe didn't do anything legally wrong in cloning NJ, but it still has to feel like a stab in the back and make the members wonder what's going on as well...

The only victims in this case are the artist under hybe, both hybe and mhj should be held accountable for their respective wrongdoing.while mhj did do alot of questionable stuff hybe is also not some saint hybe has also been playing dirty with mhj just look at new jeans debut and le serafims debut it's quite obvious that hybe really wanted to push le serafim they had a debut showcase and they had pre debut promotions etc, bang PD showed support to them on multiple occasions but not once has he ever showed up for new jeans they didn't had any pre debut promotions nor did they even had a debut showcase they were stepped aside by them while he showed support to his other groups, this goes to show the biggest victim are new jeans and now imagine not knowing that this comeback might be their last comeback this is just foul.

The part about Hybe „ adding to koreas entertainment industry through hard work and creativity „ is crazy and down right audacious to me 😅

I wish the best for New Jeans because I really enjoy their music and performances and would rather see Min Heejin continue to lead the group artistically. Horrible Hybe did the same kind of dirty hype just before LeSserafim's (OT 6) debut threatening fake law suits in their totally fake "defense" of Garam who fearlessly defended her friend against a rich jealous poster of child prn online, but Hybe sold out to the rich jealous bully and got rid of the most fearless and noble member, Garam, so the fake law suits were a fraud. Now, though Min HeeJin has some issues as any CEO does, treacherous Hybe is trying to get rid of the MHJ who played the biggest role in the artistic creation of New Jeans and who has the closest relationship to the members because Hybe wants to gain more monopolistic control of kpop and cover up for the huge criticism of Le Sserafim's (OT 5) Coachella performance which made national news in South Korea just days before this treacherous and paid for media smear campaign by Hybe against Min HeeJin. Most South Koreans who heard the press conference are on her side. Let Horrible Hybe have a full audit and see how much dirt can be dug up. Besides who knows what Horrible Hybe will try to fabricate against her with big money to publicize the witchhunt.

The Christian thing to do is for Hybe to sell the shares of Ador to her and let go of New Jeans. All that suffering of this woman and New Jeans is not right. I am not siding with anyone but it is obvious that New Jeans is her “baby”. Do not take it away from her. It will break her heart.

New Jeans didn't belong to her in the first place. She has an inflated sense of what she brings to the group. The resources that brought New Jeans to success is more than her creative input. And if she believes what she says - that she is the only one who can replicate New Jeans, then no one is stopping her. She should be able to do it on her own.

All I know is that young girls are caught in the middle of the whole thing and they are suffering from it. The adults should never have involved them in the ind and outs of their fighting. All I can say is that Hybe already has many successful groups, so why are they holding on to New Jeans so tightly when it is obvious that the girls want to be with this woman instead? Sometimes a relationship does not have any solutions, so Hybe should just let them go. Right?

I think this situation and composition are causing a big contradiction. ・Min Hee Jin was planning to quit her job and become independent this summer. ・She was planning to take along the members who admired her. ・Engaged in various activities such as raising funds from funds and establishing new offices. 　(She cannot acquire HYBE shares.) ・HYBE sensed this and is trying to retaliate and sabotage Min Hee Jin. ・HYBE was trying to create the next new jeans. Just because u decide to get out from the company u work I doesn't mean u can....nj and ador ip is hybe property......she didn't put a $ in the company,she was OFFRED shares. She can't just walk out with the product that the company invested on even if she was the one who created it. I totally understand hybe she used their resources and hybe is doing everything right they held a shareholders meeting and did all the legal stuff. But min hee jin is using the media because she knows she wont win.

Istg if it wasn't for hybe, Newjeans wouldn't see such easy success. So shameless of her accusing hybe now and using the members name for sympathy. NWJNS should be under hybe or they gonna be struggling financially.

I do not associate NJ to BTS at all. Hype has pushed other girl groups and they are nowhere near popular as NJ. NJ stand on their own.

Imagine husband married new wife and paid more attention to new daughter who copy first wife daughter styles and manners. If first wife does not speak up for her own blood, she would be a bad mother. Imitation is a complement but in the music industry it is a liability. Blur lines.
