Aa rock album would be really cool. She could get female rockers to guess appear on it. Like: Meytal Cohen or Sarah Lund on drums Tal Wilkenfeld or Este Haim on bass St Vincent or Samantha Fish on guitar. The musical diversity would make amazing music I think. Most likely it wouldn't just be an new Era with Taylor it would be a new Era in rock and roll in general. Plus I disagree with Taylor, karma is not real it's a lie. It's just an invention of Man to justify their own actions. Their own guilt. Peace and Ahev

People are cancelling her during 2016. If she did released Karma Album, she will be misunderstood further and that album will be the most flop album of her. She needs to get rid of her bad Reputation. You can see it on her music video "READY FOR IT" in which the two Taylor standing on each other face to face. True Taylor vs. Fake Taylor Her true self vs. Media's perception of her You can literally put a lot of meanings about it. She wants to destroyed her bad persona about her by the people and media. And that's what she wants in her REPUTATION ALBUM.

not quiet sure if this is another proof for the karma theory but: In her Lover music video you can see that the house has eight rooms in different colors, which match the theme color of each of her albums. In 2019 she had only seven albums but there are eight rooms and I think the orange room stands for Karma which hasn't been released yet.

there are actually 9 rooms - left - bottom -debut , middle -fearlesss, top - 1989 middle top- reputation and 2 rooms - that were folklore and evermore { which could have been the three years in advance thing } and right top-lover , middle -red , bottom- speak now buuuuuuttttttt the main door is the only one we don't see anything inside maybe that hints at karma since we don't know what's behind that door alsooooo if you look closely b/w the 1989 and evermore room there seems to be a diff smaller and still blue room maybe that could be related to karma because the ladder in that tiny room leads to the reputation room and the tiny room starts after 1989 indicating karma was supposed to be b/w 1989 and rep buuuuuttttttt this is most probably me clowing at 2 am 😭

I wonder if she had all these love songs for Calvin on that album, but when they broke up and it wasn’t a good break up, she just had no interest in singing those songs or giving him any satisfaction. Plus, she met Joe and probably realized how much better he was for her and needed to switch gears to sing about this better and healthier love.

‘Karma’ was also capitalised in the Vogue interview, with the subtitles. They fixed it a year later apparently, but for a year it randomly said “that Karma is real”, which is an odd ‘typo’ to make. Definitely intentional.

In "So It Goes" she says "Gold cage hostage to my feelings" just like the scene in lwymmd. Also, after 1989, it would only make sense if it was a 90s inspired album, in 90s rock was pretty popular and she her bleached hair is such a 90s rock style. And her outfits and stuff it's definitely a rock album 🧡

OMG ID DIE FOR A ROCK ALBUM

Karma was written in both black and orange in The Man music video. Reputation was painted onto an airplane. Black/orange + airplane Airplanes contain a black box whose actual colour is orange. A black box is essentially a flight recorder... like an album containing records. It often says "do not open" on black boxes like how the album was never released to the public. I think this is why she used the airplane analogy and the black/orange colors. The wing being cut off could mean the plane crashed (the era was scrapped) and we could potentially recover the orange black box at some point and hear the recordings/songs. Given how Karma was written twice with 1989, it probably will be part of the 1989 re-release. (Edit: Now I think it's more likely it's song will be part of Reputation TV's vault tracks)

I think scrapping Karma was mostly Taylor's idea. Yes there definitely was some press from label too, that ''you have horrible reputation now, everybody hates you, so you can't release an album right now, because maybe it'd flop and we won't get any money'' But as we saw in Miss Americana how she said how bad her mental health was at the time and she needed to completely change her state of mind. So i think it was more Taylor's idea to scrap that album.

Not only that but I feel like her label didn’t actually control her too much in the music department because she was strong willed when it came to that and pushed to do the music she wanted to. 1989 is a perfect example of that because she has talked about how her label tried to tell her it would be a bad idea to change genres after being known for country for many years but she pushed for it and got her pop album put out. So I think she was more-so the one who halted karma if anything. Or maybe a bit of both her and the label.

@@LifewithKrystle Taylor always had more control over her work and image than other artists. Label could say something but if Taylor really wanted release it they wouldn't stop her.

I remember first hearing the Airplane part of the Karma theory and just feeling everything click into place. That Taylor on the Airplane was BOTHERING me for years. When the music video first released, I just figured that we'd see her wear that outfit in a Rep music video, as some foreshadowing, but we never got anything so it was haunting me for years. At this point, if it's not an Easter Egg to Karma, I have no clue what it's supposed to be.

I guess for me I always thought the one on the plane was just another rep Taylor in the music video because all the ones lined up at the front include all the versions of Taylor for rep that we saw throughout the music video. But then I guess if she was part of rep she would have also been lined up at the front. It is odd, now that it’s pointed out, that she is off by herself on the plane.

I always thought the Taylor on the plane wing was the real Taylor that the public doesn’t even know but I like this theory. Surprise album in October for the win!

Here’s my opinion: I think she will announce that her reputation era was initially planned to be “karma” and still had tracks like look what you made me do and this is why we can’t have nice things, but all the other tracks were forced to be put into the vault and re direct the album to “reputation” since she was in need for a come back from public and press. So having “karma” would not make her look good and adding songs about Joe would keep her on brand. Also gonna include another theory onto why karma will be released as reputations’ Taylor’s version: in the man music video, it’s sprayed as orange and then black. It was initially orange but changed to black for reputation.

And I think that the songs she MIGHT have written for that would not make sense outside of the OUTRAGE she and swifties felt because of the drama that happened in 2016 and we DO NOT want her to go through any more drama of THAT caliber again just so that an album "fits" the narrative. that is why I would be OK with her releasing it as vault tracks. I also agree with her that the songs in rep are NOT as "violent/blunt" as they could have been given the situation so those more angry songs might be the vault tracks. I don't know is just a thought...

I think this is the most likely explanation. There was an extra year between 1989 and Rep release, in which all that snake stuff happened. I think the initial plan was to release the album as "Karma" but plans changed and the album BECAME what we know as Rep, and there are probably A LOT of vault songs. I just hope someday we find out what the truth is!

Theory: Taylor may never release Karma (sad) but a lot of those songs would probably be vault tracks on Rep (TV) since they kinda have the same vibe, but I really want Karma to have its moment (the long-awaited TS10). Taylor never wears orange so that'd be so interesting but yea that's what I think.

i think the orange was just the prisoner's colour, like in orange is the new black, but has nothing to do with a colour scheme

she was also dressing up as kind of 90s grunge in bleachella era, so then it would make sense the "i come back stronger than a 90s trend" looking right at the camera to be an easter egg

Recently in her NYU speech she mentioned how she’s gone from country to pop to alternative to folk. I can’t imagine she’s referring to reputation as that album is sort of electric pop. When I heard that in her speech I thought she must’ve been referencing her karma era. She definitely has some alternative rock music we haven’t heard yet!

I've always believed there was lost music between 1989 and reputation because she's dated Calvin Harris for a year, and I find it hard to believe there would be no music about him at all. Like, she wrote a beautiful song like Enchanted about someone she briefly met, but she wouldn't write a song about a man she dated for a year? I also would love for Taylor to do a pop-punk album, so if Karma ever comes out, I hope it's in that genre. I've also always thought that the Taylor on the wing of the plane was the aesthetic we would have had if she hadn't gone through all her hardships in 2016- all dressed in florals and quite soft, not edgy. (And we kinda got it with Lover)

As someone who is seeing this 10 months after it came out and the 1989 TS version just got announced I think it’s entirely plausible. She said that there are going to be a lot of songs that have never seen the light of day on here so that could mean that the double album theory is true and I hope it is and all the clues are there. And that combined with all the evidence makes me know that Karma is real. 🧡🧡🧡

Karma is sooo real. When I read the theory on what the plane being spray painted meant, so much CLICKED. My theory is that a punk Taylor era exists, and when she got bad press the label killed it citing too much risk while her "reputation" is bad. Part of why she takes a dig at them in LWYMMD video (lifting the motorcycles). She was done with people not trusting her judgement after all the success of 1989. As if to say: "I CARRY this label, and they're not going to let me release this thing I made? Fine. Here's Reputation." I feel like so much of Miss Americana told the story as well, I could write a damn essay analyzing it but I won't feed the 🤡 🤣

Punk rock has always been antiestablishment. And I can’t think of anyone more antiestablishment than young women, queer people, and people of color.” Taylor has been vocal against the government and against record labels. She’s a talented artist who has done great in multiple genres.

Taylor thinking of/counting Karma among one of the stolen albums makes complete sense to me. Maybe she felt robbed of the album she was working on because she was forced to scrap it due to everything that was happening and what everyone was saying about her then. If this theory is true I really hope she can reclaim one of her lost babies and release it to us Swifties

What I think a lot of people don't realize is her bleachella era is actually when she was in the thickest part of her eating disorder. We have zero music videos from the time as well & it could be related to her appearance. Maybe she didn't like how she looked during this time, maybe she didn't have the strength for a tour, let alone an album. She's still very sensitive about this topic so i doubt we'll ever hear her speak more on how her disordered eating escalated to an eating disorder but iykyk, ED effect every part of your mental health. Maybe she reflected on Karma and decided it wasn't what she wanted to be anymore, wasn't the message she wanted to send after all.😢

im convinced that karma was supposed to be a pop rock album and she had already written and recorded it during the 1989 era (and was dropping hints like the ones that you said and also singing rock version of her songs in concerts), she was ready to release it in 2016 but with everything that happened she had to go out of the public eye. during the time when we didnt see her, she worked on herself and started writing other songs (also at this point she had already met Joe and was writing songs about him). so we're a year later and she's ready to release a new album but at this point she's in a better mental state and it doesn't seems right to release karma. so she releases reputation with a few songs from karma and the songs that she has written in this time. then she went in the lover era and those songs aren't right for the moment anymore. anyway, i hope that she's gonna release it as a taylor's version because i would love a rock album from her

I truly believe she has an album as well, especially because you’re right, she’s always writing songs. That’s how she processes her emotions. She has so much material that we are waiting for her to release now, so I wonder if part of it is her business savvy not wanting to flood the market with her music. And perhaps she couldn’t officially re-record her Karma masters because if they WERE recorded but not released, then her old label technically owned them, right? But I’m totally with you. I think at the moment it’s very important that her old masters be re released because until they are her label is still getting the royalties from them. So teasing Karma would be right up her alley to keep it in the back of our minds for later right?

I never heard about this theory before. Just that people thought TS8 would be titled Kamera after The Man MV came out. BUT now after seeing this I recall something Taylor said during Rep era. That she had worked on another idéa but said something like.. "I didn't make Reputation cuz I wanted to, i did it cuz i had to." I always thought she was referring to giving her side of the story of the 2016 Drama. But now that might not be the only reason.

I think she means that she HAD to write, she was drawn to writing. In an interview in Lover era, she said "I couldn't stop writing. I NEEDED to write that album", referring to reputation, so I think that's what she means

LOVED YOUR VIDEO! you missed the part that some believe Karma is a rock album. There are several clues that support this. Okay so rock was very popular in the 90's and her bleachella look in 2016 was very 90's inspired and kinda rock inspired also. Some of her 1989 songs (we are never getting back together) she performed as a rock version in her concerts. There are others I can't remember but the last one that is also kinda reaching: she sang in Willow that she comes back stronger than a 90's trend.

I think people remember reputation “edgy and aggressive” for taylor because of the things that led to it and the way taylor promoted it , blacked out Instagram , using snakes , using Mosley dark and black colors , making her only “drama addressing “ songs the singles .....it was all planned and orchestrated extremely well for the type of appeal taylor wanted to have with the album

I’m not a Swiftie but the fact that it’s along with the stolen albums in ‘The Man’ mv just confirms it for me. There’s no other reason I can think of why a big ‘Karma’ would be written there.

Considering now we have a song called Karma in the new album..the theories are definitely true

At 11:13 In the Man scene, you can notice that so far Taylor has dropped albums in the clockwise direction of the sequence of graffiti on the wall. Like Fearless (TV) being the first one, followed by Red (TV), then Speak Now (TV)(possibly), Reputation (TV), Taylor Swift (TV) and 1989 (TV) being the last re-recorded TV album. And since Karma is after 1989 (TV) in the clockwise direction, I think it could be the last album released (TS10 that was meant to be TS6...at least as per the theory.)

@@NenaShelby there is something I would like to point out. In The Man MV On the right side of the wall going down is the order of her TV releases so far (Fearless, Red, Speak Now) idk why they are in that order but who knows? (Only Taylor 🥲)

i like how she uses her hair in defferent way to show her emotions or a certain era, in 2012 she was 22 during her red album era she had long blonde natural hair and always was wearing red lipstick, this year 2022 10 years after on her graduation day she came wearing same hairstyle and lipstick and she even mentioned it in her speech!!

Oh my goodness I have went down the Taylor Swift rabbit hole lol 😂 here I am 37 years old with a 7 year old and a 2 month old and I am obsessed with this woman and all her history and you guys with your theories and decoding the Easter eggs..I’m hooked ❤😂😂

i'm not even a taylor swift fan but if this theory is correct, i really want it to be a rock album. Her songs can't connect to me and i don't know if it's the genre and i'm just a rock-metal enthusiast, but if it's a rock/pop rock album i would totally hear it all just so i can finally appreciate her songwriting more.

I get that. I wasn’t into her at all until she came out with her indie folk albums. Now I’ve listened to everything she’s put out. Obviously not every song is going to be great, but overall, she is a very good songwriter.

Honestly she’s not a rock artist. I’ve been a fan since early 2007 and I don’t think she knows what real rock is. Not glam rock or pop rock. She just doesn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ just because she plays with her electric guitar on some songs. Guess what? There’s an electric guitar on Fighter by Christina Aguilera. I wish fans would stop saying rock, just call it what it is they want; pop rock

It would be really smart if Taylor to release a completely new (to us) album during the re-records. since this era is mainly focused on her old work, it would be refreshing to hear something entirely new while still re-recording her old music.

The vault explanation is the best one so far. Now we know that she thinks of her unreleased music as "from the vault", and the image of her in the vault in the MV really helps the lost album Karma theory more "realistic" .

I don't even care if we ever hear Karma (I hope we do), but even if we don't, Taylor Swift makes being a fan SO fun. I love her.

The Man music video confirms Karma's existence. We know these re-recordings surround this lost album and I believe this album marks the end of everything. It will tie up loose ends and shut down whatever BMR has left against her. Question is... when will she release it? I have a feeling its already re-recorded, mixed/produced, mastered, and awaiting printing (Because its not held down by the 5 year contract constraints since it wasnt an official album) and once her final re-recording drops, it will come crashing down.

What could she be alluding to? That Karma is watching from the background waiting for its chance to break the fight up and expose the truth? Is Karma that "petty" person who waits for the other person to expose themselves then swoop in to confirm it? Only time will tell

I've never heard of this theory before but now I am feeling impatient for Karma (Taylor's Version)!! Loved the rock versions on the 1989 tour

it also takes me back to when Taylor's gone very edgy on her 1989 world tour and performed we are never getting back together in a very rocky way that could've been an easter egg of her next era (which was a pop-rock album) that she was preparing for at the time ... I think Karma is real

She was struggling with a lot of heavy things at that time. The tour to me felt disjointed. I think those versions were more a reflection of how she was feeling at that time rather than a hint towards a new genre.

Honestly believe that Karma is real. I'm assuming that since it was only recently revealed that she was waiting for the go signal for her to be able to legally re-record 1989 and rep, she might still be waiting for the go signal to legally re-record Karma. Since she's also not yet re-recording her debut album, there might be some legal clauses she's trying to work around or work through to make the re-recordings be more special. Knowing Taylor, she's got a plan for everything, so sitting back and watching her genius mind unfold is always a treat no matter how long it takes to bring to fruition.

So the title for track eleven on mid nights was revealed tonight and karma is real!! I'm so excited to hear it

Imagine if Reputation was actually the Karma album, but she just released it after a break and renamed the album

Ikr that’s what I’m hoping is not true 😭. A lot of these Easter eggs though point to it being a separate album. Also if you think abt it most Rep songs are abt either Joe or the 2016 incident and she couldn’t possibly have written that in 2015-early 2016

I think Karma will go down in history as a famous (/infamous) fan theory, somewhat like the "Paul McCartney died in 1966" theory.

I think Taylor should release “Karma.” Maybe just like a small EP, a compilation, or a concept album. Rock/pop rock/pop punk music came back I think this is perfect timing for her if we can be real. Oh I’m sure there are unreleased songs, and this is a very good theory. I remember reading an article from around 2015 or 2016 that Austin Swift gave. In it he said that at that point he was aware of 11 songs that Taylor had already written for her new album. When reputation finally came out, I was surprised how many of the songs had been written since after she and Joe had gotten together, and after that interview would have been given. I was like… these aren’t the songs he was talking about. These are new. Where are the songs he was talking about???

Another Easter egg i thought was too specific and odd was the Lobster she picks up in the Gold cage in LWYMMD MV, then in the Lover Photoshoot in EW she has the 6 pins of the Friends characters. 6! TS6 = Karma. It could've maybe been a "she's my lobster" reference to Friends or something more subliminal.

This just proves even more that Taylor is indeed a MASTERMIND with these hints

I reckon she's going to announce/ release Karma during the last performance of the song karma at the very last concert of the era's tour... AFTEr she has announced / released the remaining TV re-records. Easter eggs are yummy.

i would love to see Karma as a B side to 1989! i really hope she does release this one. to me it seems like Karma was written while she was kind of away from the public eye and then reputation was also written during that time, but later. idk if this makes sense but i see both of them kind of as the healing process for her, with Karma being edgy and reputation being more accepting. I do think for songs like LWYMMD and Ready For It she took those from Karma, and used the more calm stuff for reputation. anyway just my thoughts, i would love to see this released! great video! :)

in the bejeweled music video, the elevator buttons are said to be her albums 1-9 being debut to evermore, and the rest are her rerecords' order including midnights. the last button is orange, and karma's supposed color is orange. I think that the man music video and the bejewelled music video both hint to after all the rerecords, Karma will be released.

A few things from a year in the future!!! 1) new sub!!! 2) you are so Pretty with those hoop earrings!!! Her 1989 rereleases thus far kinda play into this theory. Wildest Dreams, in title and lyrics (say you’ll see me again, even if it’s just in your wildest dreams) could allude to how she once felt Karma would never see the light of day, and there’s a lot of sunset imagery (closing of chapter, also orange visually), plus the mv thumbnail is orange. Obviously wouldn’t have been written for this purpose, but could have retroactively been chosen. This Love has some lyrics that fit too. “This love is good, this love is bad, this love is alive, back from the dead” kinda describes a great album grounded for being too “bad” that’s being resurrected. Again, wouldn’t have been written with this in mind, but they could definitely have been repurposed to hint at an upcoming release connected to the 1989 rerelease

So a fan asked her about this in one of lover’s secret sessions as if she wrote lover or any other albums before rep era and she said no I started lover during the rep tour But she didn’t say No to karma tho!

I’ve been a Swiftie for 12 years, and while I’d heard the name Karma, I always associated it with things like ROSES or ECLIPSE, fake album names that people came up with when we didn’t know the name of Taylor’s next project. I had no idea there was THIS MUCH evidence towards it existing! I guess I always just assumed TS6 would have been 1989 2.0, but if it would have had a 90s aesthetic/vibe, it honestly kind of WOULD have been 1989 2.0 because it would have directly been following 1989. I could genuinely see Taylor rerecording Karma and releasing it between 1989 and Rep TV

She released albums in 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014. She didn't in 2016 because of the drama, which is sad becuase it would have been the album of her first 10 years of career. BUT, as you said, it's impossible she didn't write songs between 2014 and 2016, so maybe she had an album planned for 2016. And we should keep in mind that Rep was written after the drama, so it makes sense that Karma is true

Imagine if for the Reputation TV era she released the songs that were supposed to be in the karma album!!

didn't think there was so much in regards to KARMA being an album out there...thanks for presenting the evidence :) Also, so much orange at the Paris The Eras Tour last week...maybe she'll release it with reputation soon.

I just noticed this recently when looking at the Midnights tracklist, but Karma is the 11th track which made me think that maybe it could be TS11. Even after this video was published, she has continued to hint at this in her Eras Tour with the orange door and the orange fireworks for her closing song Karma.

i loved this kind of videos so much like when you talk about theories and stuff i hope you make more also the karma theory is one of the least i believe in their truth and as you said i hope it comes along with reputation(taylor's version) and i hope to know more about the hidden art of 2016 like what she was planning to sing about or so

I think this is a solid theory (more so than some of the other swifty theories that are sort of for fun). I think it was very evident after 1989 that taylor was entering a new era with how drastically her style changed and took on a punk look. Since her style shifted way way before reputation probably ever existed, I think she was beginning to enter the next era of Karma.

tbh..i always believe Karma (the missing era album) is real. There's always a rock element to her music especially from SN era..& she even experiment with IKYWT & WNEGBT during 1989 tour..& ALL signs/hints/easter eggs like the hair bleach, her wardrobe & other things were pointing towards 'Karma'...but like we all know, the world went against her after that & we ends up getting the Reputation instead. ..but..the fact that the 'bleach' & her dressing styles during that 'particular' period DIDN'T matched ANY album era's makes u REALLY wonder becoz her hair, styles, ALWAYS matched with her albums.. I 'HAD' to believe that someday we'll get to hear this album..becoz, to me, whatever she's created (doesnt matter whatever genre this album maybe) are always a masterpiece..& IF the album does exist but she lock it in her 'vault' forever, that would be her biggest crime against humanity isn't it? 😜😜😜😊😊

Just some extra things that hopefully you will see and mention in a video. There are so many songs that mention karma and the lines in those songs always sound like they could be portrayed as more rocky and pinky than the song is, for example " karma is my boyfriend" or "karma is a cat" I could totally hear being more rock like so what I'm thinking is maybe she didn't want these lyrics to go to waste and used them in reputation and other eras etc. Also you mentioned orange as karma and I'm now realizing around that time she wore a ton of orange which I'm thinking Easter egg? Also now she is releasing 1989 Taylor version (everyone thinks so at least its pretty obvious) that perhaps this double album thing will happen or we will get more karma clues. Thanks for the video! I enjoyed watching😊

The fact that she's left all these easter eggs about the lost album is amazing and really fun and when she releases this album even if its in 10 years I'm gonna be so happy and joyful and enjoy every minute of it and so for that I want to say Thank you TAYLOR what is an entertainer except bringing people together in joy :)
