Hearing about your living struggles is so relatable. I have dealt with similar kinds of stress situations: from increased rent on crappy apartment and sh*ty landlord, to being harassed for an entire year my mentally ill neighbors (no joke, the owner told me my neighbor was mentally ill and I ignored it. Big mistake) I’m in therapy still dealing with my living situations. Just know you’re not alone. You have every right to want a better living situation. Also, don’t be afraid to go for the place you want because ya never know how well it can turn out for you. Good luck on your search 😊

Fleas are the worst. I nearly lost my mind two years ago when we tried to get rid of them, and the worst part was after we deflead my cat and all those fleas couldn’t bite him anymore and started biting us😭 I also apparently had allergies to flea bites because only I had visible bite marks... ugh. Luckily it’s dealt with now

I had an incident last week and as a POC woman, he was incredibly nasty & made me cry to the point where my dad had to come down and set him straight. You know, Gavin, this year is (astrologically) a year when a lot of people find that they can't do things in the same way as before, habits and ruts are being broken, new paths are being forged. So, for one, I think it is spot on that you got that text from your landlord because it made you take a mental leap and decide to really move out (and even set a date) which pushes you to where you need to go. And, second, for the channel, it sounds like an amazing idea to split it in the way you are describing, and probably exactly the right path forward for you to reach your goals for this channel and end up where you want to go and be. ❤

I’m watching your recent stuff all out of order, but it’s so rough seeing your struggle with the manga content. As someone trying to work up the courage to maybe start my own channel (where I would want to talk about books and comics and manga), it frustrates me to no end that the algorithm punishes so many creators for making the content they want. But at the end of the day, this is your livelihood and you have to do what you need to protect it. You’re a strong creator and I think a lot of us will watch you no matter what you are doing. Wishing you all the best with this period of transition.

Gavin, thank you for being the light I need right now. I can relate to your living situation, I have lived in an apartment for two years with neighbors constantly throwing parties at 3 am and staff that refuse to fix anything. At one point, our fridge, washer/dryer, and AC were broken all at once, plus a leak, and all that took them 4 MONTHS TO FIX!!! I'm moving out in July (thank fuck!) and I am really looking forward to your moving vlogs. We'll get through this!

My cats got fleas earlier this year from the dog at my son’s dad house. I saw her scratching and just knew there was going to be an issue. Thankfully the back of the neck stuff got rid of them relatively quickly with a combination of combing them and washing everything constantly. I feel you on being awake just thinking about it because that was me for weeks until I stopped seeing them. Only the best positive vibes on the new house!!!
