Absolutely. Quality-wise, more so in regards to consistency, I’d say it’s somewhere between what we got for the first three seasons and the last two. But content-wise, it’s easily the best season so far and most of the quality was good enough to do the manga justice.

Can we talk about how as far as we know this is the first time Izuku's mom has seen Uraraka in person? That's one hell of a first impression from what is pretty obviously a girl with romantic interest in her son.

It's also a great way to show that he's thinking of this like it's a game, much like how Shigaraki was during Season 1. And it comes off as extremely ruthless and cruel, especially if you've ever played a turn-based game and had your turn effectively stolen from you. He's evoking that feeling and applying it to much greater stakes. And it's his way of saying that he will not give the Heroes any time to breathe.

I read the manga for this part beforehand, and I can’t begin to describe all the emotions I felt and the tears I shed seeing Deku’s determination to save Shigaraki despite everything he’s done, class 1-A trying desperately to save him from his own self-destructive tendencies, Bakugo finally apologizing and Ochako’s speech.

it wasnt self destructive it was the right thing to do. if he didn't the scene outside would be so much worse. he didn't have a choice he had to take away their time and hunt them right it wasn't self destructive it was the acts of a Real hero not the tv anime heroes this series have been like genuine actual true hero outside fighting every villain no thx everything a heroes spirit should

This season was peak MHA, hands down. The most action-packed, hard-to-wait-for-the-next-episode season of a show I've seen in a good while. The slow mending of the relationship between Bakugo and Midoriya has been the highlight of the show for me and so seeing Bakugo finally drop the walls and, in front of his whole class no less, finally speak honestly and openly about how he feels about Midoriya had me in shambles. That immediately after a midair rescue that rang to my ears like a parallel of them saving Bakugo himself after he got kidnapped by the League makes this a top-tier season of a show I've loved since the start. Here's hoping they keep the momentum going into season 7, because it's gonna be tough topping this.

My favorite arc by far, can't wait to see the rest of the manga animated. SO HYPED!

The rogue arc is my favorite MHA arc to date. It showed the incredible nature of Izuku Midoriya and gave us some of the BEST emotional storytelling and fights in the franchise. And the Class vs Izuku is my new favorite fight FINALLY surpassing All-Might vs AFO. Which has stood tall as my favorite until that episode. And it’s allowed me to theorize more than ANY other arc in MHA. OFA has had my full attention. (I got freaking PAGES of trying to understand its intricacies and I can’t believe all I’ve gotten is more evidence.) Taking a look at the INCREDIBLE relationships in this show from Bakugo and Izuku’s relationship (which is STILL not all sunshine and rainbows when you look at it from the right perspectives.) Uraraka and Izuku truly falling for each other, All-Might and Stain, Todoroki and his family, and SOOOO much more. The characters of this show are just OUTSTANDING. It’s truly put this show just beneath Avatar the Last Airbender as my all time favorite. And if the finale of this show lands, it’ll finally top it over my nostalgia. And I 100% believe it will.

YEESSS I keep seeing people shit on the deku vs 1-A fight because there "wasn't enough action," and "Deku would have taken them all out" and it makes me so upset because that is so far from the point of that fight! Its one of the best looks we get into all of 1-As personalities and character arcs at the same time, as well as the symbolism of them being very close friends who inspire each other to be better, setting them up to be the next generation of heros, is the most awesome thing ever. Its on of my favorite moments of the entire series. and I've been keeping up with the manga as well as the anime since 2018 so that's a pretty high ranking for it to claim all considering. I was worried about the finale for a little bit because it seemed like things were starting to get rushed for a tiny bit in the manga, but seeing how things are playing out now its really getting a bunch of characters and plot points to really interesting and satisfying ends. This show does all of its characters so well wich is why its one of my favorite things of all time. I'm so happy I was able to spend my teen years, and now my adult life as well with this series its been such a fun thing to experience. Its crazy to think where it was back when I started watching it at age 15, and now 6 years later its even better than ever, I can't wait to see what happens with it and I'm so happy I was able to grow up with it! Its so good!

This was by far my favorite season. From the background information to the animation it was all expertly done. I absolutely loved "Darku's" ( a name i saw some one call renegade deku) design and also "Cool Might's" design.

I also love how they brought "you say run" into the episode where deku tries to get away from the class. They haven't used it all that much compared to back when they were doing the first couple of seasons. Of course the godly artist for the MHA music just kept on creating bangers but you say run is the most iconic song that MHA produced and it hit so many insanely glorious sweet spots back in the earlier seasons. It just felt so good hearing that music in this episode when it was used with Deku back in earlier seasons saving others. It was used when he saved bakugo without a quirk. When he saved uraraka in the test. When he saved tsu and mineta by coming up with a plan when they were stuck on the ship at the end of season 1. Also used when deku saved todoroki from his past and showed him a future and sacrificed his win of the tournament to save todoroki and it played when they had that glorious final clash. You Say Run is just deku's character put into a soundtrack. People say Deku isn't a great main character but I will be one of those people who stick up for him. I wish the author focused more on Deku overall but Deku has been a consistent and respectable character. I always hated when people shat on him for crying. He is still just a teenager. Dude literally just turned 16 in the series from what I know. Back when he first started he was 15. You telling me a kid or anyone as a matter of fact can't have those kind of emotions? Crying isn't a sign of weakness. Its a sign of being a real human being with emotions.

I've read all of this in the manga already, so I knew all of that was coming. But I still teared up at some parts. I don't think any other anime has done something like this to me, ever.

Do you know why and what long running anime that takes time and effort in world building is so great above others ? It’s because you grow up with all the characters. It’s like time passes along with you which makes you connect through them so much more. We’ve seen Deku be a fresh student off on his first day of hero school and now grown up to this and it’s been a journey. All these latest episodes had me bawling

Something that you should take note on. That scene where spinner and the league take on the crc and the part with spinner’s backstory originally took place in the mva arc in season 5 and people were really upset with the fact that it got cut. But bones put it in this season to make up for it.

Speaking of Season 6 finally adds League of Villains vs CRC and Spinner’s development when Season 7 premieres I hope Bones makes up by adding more skipped scenes from My Villain Academia that Season 5 also didn’t add like Detnerat commercial, Re Destro kills Miyashita and Giran is beaten and delivered to Re Destro at Deika Tower on midnight and Gigantomachia subdued League of Villains as flashbacks cause Re Destro is going to be mentioned on Season 7 and Gigantomachia is going to be mentioned too and there’s Skeptic lectures Giran by tormenting him after he questions his footage while Re Destro cries for Curious death and shows a panel that he and his troops tries recapturing Twice again by saying I’m not a failure many times which that’s also from My Villain Academia that Season 5 also didn’t add and will be part of Skeptic’s backstory on Season 7 and Spinner ask Mr Compress how long will Gigantomachia wake up for anime to fully make up My Villain Academia

One of the greatest season for me as well, can't describe how much it brought me to tears or to joy, it was insane. Made me rewatch the entire show !

FUN FACT: The artist that did the intro for this half of the season ( Eve ) did the banger first opening for Jujutsu Kaisen, the second ending for Dororo, and the 12th ending for Chainsaw Man !

Random sidenote, but that Touya reveal still gets me. The fact that it out-trended the election when the original chapter came out is honestly insane. 😅

The voice acting was spot on that episode

It blew my mind more than it should have when I finally saw 13's actual face. I was not ready after watching and rewatching the show noticing how they never show any part of her under the suit.

57:15 something I saw someone point out on social media, was that Bakugo wore his school uniform and tie all properly and neatly, instead of the usual the top button being loose and the tie not to the top, showing how serious he was taking this mission of "saving" Deku, and I thought that was a nice touch.

57:45 I don’t know when this started happening or if he mentioned it but I like the touch of Bakugo now wearing his tie correctly a little bit of more symbolism of how he’s changed

It didn't "start" happening. This is the first time we see Bakugo wearing his tie properly, to show how serious he is about saving Deku

52:00 i know you gave this whole sequence a max 2 wins but i just think it deserved its own win alone. Specifically Lady Nagant’s hand being covered in blood while she’s falling (also falling into darkness) like it’s been her whole life as a hero but Midoriya disregarding that and still reaching out to save her. A true hero Deku.

the background darkening and then lightening when deku hold her arm is such brilliant

One of my favorite little details is the shot of Monoma shielding Eri from the violence going on outside the school. He has that protective older brother energy going on and I’m here for it. Not to mention it just bookmarks the progression of his character. He’s no longer the limelight seeking showboater he used to be, he genuinely cares about Eri and her safety and that’s genuinely so heartwarming

I agree so much with this, though I'm admittedly disappointed this video didn't get just *one* more win to hit that *outstandingly absurd* 600 wins.

Having not touched the Manga when I saw stain reappear near all might I actually felt a sense of safety come over me. I knew stain was watching out for all might and keeping him safe. I actually felt like the next villan attack on all might stain would come in to save him. But turns out he just gave an amazing motivational speech which is alright by me. I love this show.

This was truly peak mha and I'm sure it's just gonna get better from here on out

I rewatch this video every time I want to do a soft rewatch of the season. It just never gets old and still gets me all up in my feelings. Thank you for covering one of the best anime of all time and being one of the best youtubers out there.

God episodes 23 and 24 made me ugly cry. They are just beautifully crafted episodes.

This season also had great call backs/twists on scenes from earlier ones like when All for One said "Next it your turn." like how All Might said the same thing after their fight and Deku's rescues compared to Bakugo's this season was truly one of the best.

I love this series from the first episode to now the character building, the twists and turns, the lore. Also all mights forehead GAH DAMN IT GOES OVER HIS EYES HOW

The fact that deku is now spider man is the funnyest thing ever (black wip+danger sense = spider man)😂😂😂

35:49 Something I like about this scene is that it seems like Endeavor is kinda reiterating what he said when he first became the #1 hero at the hero ranking event thing, and that is telling everyone to watch him. Or maybe that's just me, idk

The second half of this season made me cry multiple times, and that doesn't happen often. With the scene at the hospital with Edeavor, to the scene wtih All Might and Stain, to the scene at the end with Uraraka, to the previous user of One For All claiming in tears that they made a mistake giving away her son all those years ago, it was all so perfect.

This season was INSANE, overflowing with amazingly animated, over-the-top action and moments brimming with emotion and character development.

1:04:03 The subtitles didn't work so well here. The last Bakugo's sentence is about that "save and win" talk they had with All Might in Deku vs Kacchan pt 2. Something like "Win saving everyone" and it's nice that both Deku and Bakugo are learning with each other to complete this ideal inside them.

I don’t remember you covered this, but you know how at the end of each episode is usually Deku giving a hint towards the next episode? A couple of episodes before UA finds Deku I believe Deku just says “don’t worry I’m fine.” It’s really a cool thing to be able to see as you’re able to tell that and make you feel worried for his emotional state through this one comment

The amount of tears this show brought this season. I agree one of the best seasons of anime I think I've ever watched.

that All might stomp evoking Stain was so good. but honestly, it was the leather jacket that did the trick 🤣🤣

I've always thought this, but ever since we saw All Might buff up, even if only for a moment, in season four, I've always felt that he could still punch his way out of a life or death situation. And here's why, he can buff up snd has shown the ability to just bulk up an arm before. That giant hand is going to hurt, and if he reinforces it with whatever One for All droplets he can, it should be enough for a typical villain. Only things like the Nomus and All for One would be able to keep fighting. However, I suspect that doing that would break his arm if not tear it off outright. So it's very much a "Not dying yet!" card. I hope the writer actually thought of that and decided to do something with it...

Quick reminder, the for 5 f****** seasons people were hating on his hood. Now look. One of the most badass things in the show.

These videos are always a highlight of my day, this one especially as I've been waiting for part 2 on tentahooks! Uraraka wearing mittens to not activate her powers while she sleeps made me laugh.

People don't talk about all might enough. Genuinely one of my favourite mentors in anime

One of my favourite parts of class 1-A calling out to Midoriya was Mineta confessing his feelings to him. Like, he did become less of a creep as the seasons progressed, and I'd like to think that's because he had fallen for Midoriya, and wanted to be more like him. And how he confessed his feelings, saying he is loved for who he is, not his gift, it's just amazing.

When it comes to win #537, I totally agree with you here, the VERY moment you hear what is now the iconic OST "You say Run" come back after all these years, you'll just feel overwhelmed with hype

Spoiler free: (Manga reader here) this season was amazing, the va, soundtrack and animation have been fantastic, they did an amazing job adapting these arcs and really looking forward to s7 being animated The only thing im kinda sad about is the rouge deku arc wasnt longer and had anime only scenes like showing how they got out the exploding mansion. Side notes: The tall fox lady doesnt have official name but in the community was given the fan name "ippan josei" which translate to ordinary woman A little detail in ep 22, mt lady is wearing a neck brace and has a scar across her eye which goes back to your win about chracter getting permenant injuries. When the crowd were screaming at deku to get out, the anime sadly cuts out danger sense going crazy (in the manga version the danger sense lightning were the panel dividers)

I remember hearing about the “Dark Deku” arc sometime ago and thinking it was about become something of a vigilante or anti-hero. In truth it was Deku being himself but pushing his own well being way too far mentally.

Great video! its so good to see someone enjoying mha for what it is and giving analysis to it 😊 But you made a slight mistake during the dream sequence In that episode they talked about one for all reducing the users's lifespan due to too many quirks to handle, with all might's research they only discovered now thats the reason to it So its wasnt actually planned from the start with that factor in mind as no one knew until now Doesnt take away the fact deku being picked for his heroism is still great though 👍

something you missed, watch the previews for this arc. Deku's tone shifts every episode until after the nagant fight. "I'm ok... really I am." No Plus Ultra, at all.

Gotta day i kinda feel bad for Spinner now, everyone throwing around super cool powers in dangerous situations and he's just kinda sitting there watching it happen unable to really do much, even he's confused about why he's there sometimes

Another thing about the Dark Deku arc. The assassin he took out after Lady Negant. He took that random down instantly... While being riddled with bullet holes, No sleep and no food in days... That boy was running on nothing but adrenaline by the time class 1A found him which at that point even that had run out so team 1A fought him running on just Desperation, which in my opinion just shows exactly what Bakugo ment by "Deku is insane"

It's so hard to watch the EGA mha videos because I always end up crying. Why? I have absolutely no idea. Maybe because this show is very close to my heart, and thus hearing someone praise it so strongly and feel so much is just like... It feels good.

Midnight’s death might be my top 3 darkest moments in my hero along with shigaraki killing his entire family and the abuse eri went thru imo Not only does she fall from 50+ feet in the air, a giant piece of debris lands on her when she hits the ground, gravely injuring her. She only gathers enough strength to give one last request to the students and is then finished off by villians

Adding onto Win 534. Deku was outclassing the rest of 1-A to the extent it took all of them working together, giving it their all to finally bring him back. On top of that, Deku was completely exhausted, physically and mentally. If he had been at full or even half power, they wouldn't have stood a chance at that attempt.

When Deku remembers Shigaraki inside of the vestige world and wants to save him, he makes Shigaraki's face different from the actual scene. He makes Shiggy's eyes bigger, his face less adult and more child like. Get used to it, he does it from now on till the end of the manga

1:14:54 With the recent chapter leaks this is incredibly valid, i’m excited to see what happens but i’m also terrified out of my mind edit: it will also be one of the biggest moments in animanga history, he is so loved and such a huge inspiration to so many people because of his purely good morals and ideals and just uplifting aura that just exudes off him that can make everyone hyped out of their minds and also piss-their-pants scared depending on the situation, usually it’s a combo of the two of which is why i believe he is on of if not the most uplifting and inspiring people in fiction, right up there with superman, if he dies i will be incredibly distraught because he is just amazing.

i have been waiting for this. i love this so much

I gotta say I deeply respect the not only the more mutant like heros in this world but the mangaka for introducing these elements more. When the bright and fun first season of my hero started I would have never guessed the story would cover this level of discrimination. They're villains sure, and some like Dabi are just there to watch the world burn, but some like Spinner have genuine issues with how society treated them. The story has gone from how this random boy becomes number 1 hero, to see how this broken quirk based society is saved by both heros AND villains. Oh and of course a MASSIVE freaking win for America-chan joining the scene! Anime onlys the insane ride isn't stopping yet!

"Even if someone has a special power, they're not a special person." That's arguably one of the deepest things Uraraka has said in the entire series

45:41 as somebody who grew up around a lot of NWS alerts, this scene almost gave me a heart attack. An anime, that i'd read the manga to, almost gave me a heart attack 😂

The fact that Deku was beating his class even though we had not eaten in a while and had not resisted either, shows you just how strong he has become and it is terrifying

31:45 - All Might himself didn't know about this stuff with decreased lifespan back then since Mirio was an option before he met Deku.

I actually think the complete opersite. I very much enjoyed AFO showing up mid way through the story to mutually ashored destruction All Might mid way through the story, but him coming back to mind control Tomura robs a part of the show which makes MHA so interesting to me. Tomura was an interesting villain with interesting motivations that made a commentary on society that the heroes had to grapple with and change because of him, as he was made directly because of heroes existing. Beating him doesn't fix the society which made him. His journey made have been kicked off my AFO, but he got to that point by the actions of society and got to where he was after AFO was beaten by his own merit. The heroes and the world are forced to change because of him. Those are some of the best villains in my mind. AFO is evil because he is evil and then makes everyone else evil because he exists and beating him stops everyone else being evil because everyone who is evil is lead to that because of him directly. It feels like a 180 on one of the major themes running through the whole show. That might just be my opinion though, I just want to talk about the thoughts I was having during and after this season.
