You need a part two: the person who sends everything back, the food snob; the vegan/vegetarian gluten free lactose free customer. The waitress who completely ignores you and runs the other way when you try to catch her eye for something you need (like a fork)...The snobby waiter who practically seats you in the kitchen because you aren't dressed properly or have children in tow... Sorry, I eat out alot.

I kept waiting for the waiter that doesn’t write anything down. I start to get nervous by the time we get to the third person. You can always tell which ones are new at this because they stare at you really intensely and I swear I can see them repeating it in their head. 😂

He did seem like a real waiter

We had “the bad waiter” and the “overwhelmed waiter”-young guy and at the end of our meal we left the biggest tip ever. He started to take our order-huge pause-and then started over: “Oh, I am Adam and will be your waiter.” It was my husband and myself, but he asked if it would be one check. When we looked surprised, he said, “Oh, didmI already ask you that!?” Poor guy…so flustered…

We love how sweet y’all are! It’s not that we want to run away from conversation or that we’re annoyed by it. We’re mostly just worried about the other 5 tables we’re serving getting angry because they think we’re standing there talking to you. They can get really rude about it. Although sometimes it’s a nice respite as well. It’s really more risk management than anything.

@@rachele3334 Yeah, it's frustrating when people don't want to take the time to learn. I do let people know that if they forget that my name isn't pronounced how it's spelled, I'm patient enough to remind them until they get it. I can tell the difference. But my mom gives nicknames because she's honestly horrible at remembering names. She needs a name that she can associate with something or someone familiar.

As a former server I’m telling you the funniest thing on earth is hearing southern people “attempt” to pronounce any food from another country on the menu 🤣🤣

As a former waitress, I have seen every one of these customers but there is more...yall should do a part 2 featuring the demanding customers that snap their fingers at you, the cheapskate customer that makes their own lemonade at the table with water, sugar and lemons, the couple that is mad at each other making serving them super awkward, the customers that ignore their waiter, the customer that flirts with the waitress and vice versa the waiter that flirts with customers! 🙄🙄

@@arieluv615 No big deal to take advantage of a discount but in my experience as a server, most folks who are looking for a deal are often times really bad tippers on top of it. Good on you for trying to still tip well. The other annoyance of mine is that, depending on how much of a deal the customer receives, it can definitely result in a lower tip in the end since most often tips are calculated on a percentage of the overall total. This isn't always a big deal for me but when I've already provided a deal or other discount only to receive a 10% or less tip, I'm a bit irked.
