To be honest I think people have this Amazon addiction because that's like the only endorphins they/ WE get during the pandemic lol. And don't have to do anything even remotely uncomfortable like go to the grocery store. Rip mental health, the boomers had hoarding, we have... compulsive Amazon?

I think you're right; "retail therapy" is just when people go shopping to avoid mental/emotional health problems anyway. With pandemic travel restrictions, it would make sense that people would still rely on those same coping mechanisms and just go to Amazon instead of a physical store.

@@Wwetitanfan27 It does include Fridays, but not Sundays. Sundays aren't included in the Lenten 40 days, so I'm not saying Sundays are cheat days but I am saying if you need an Amazon day, your best bet is on the day of rest.

@@remmilouann The Amazon Return Life™️ was a lot easier before work-from-home. I could receive and return shipments at my job and FedEx/UPS made daily deliveries/pickups. Now both me and my husband work from home and I can’t hide a doggone thing. Stupid Covid ruined my whole system 😂

It took my roommate telling my husband that I have something arrive everyday. I was angry at first, what's it to him?! And then i realized that.... yea...... i had a problem. I had to put things on my cart and keep them there for a few days. If i couldn't find a reason that i absolutely had to have or need it then I wouldn't buy it. Now, when my Prime is up I'm not renewing it cuz i don't use it enough. And i don't miss "Daily Christmas".

I have a list titled "later" so I don't buy things impulsively and it helped me A LOT. I still get that satisfaction of "shopping" but my bank account doesn't get drained. If I still feel the need for the product a few days or weeks lately, then I add it cart and purchase it.

So my Amazon Prime is used based on needs, which is quarterly. Christmas, School season, Birthdays, and like up-keep. I just did my quarterly Amazon haul, and I will not be doing another one until June because my students need things. I guess I have a problem but not a WAP problem lol

That is my hubby. Every day there is a new package at the door or in the mailbox when I get home. On the occasion when I order something. It usually gets opened by him because he assumes all Amazon packages are his.
