Every Offlaner in Dota 2 Explained - Part 2

Note that I will talk about certain Support heroes that I have already mentioned in the previous series, but in the interest of my own sanity, I won’t go super into detail in their kit. And I will only do this for heroes that have a somewhat substantial difference in gameplay, for example Pudge Core plays differently from Pudge Support.
For the experienced players watching this, if you feel I missed out on something, if you want to add to anything I mention, or if you want to share a tip, go ahead and leave it in the comments down below.
Note that I’m only going to be covering heroes in what I believe to be their natural roles. This will be a combination of Dotabuff, Dota2ProTracker, and my gut feel as a person who’s just played a lot of Dota.
Also take note that I’m not a high level player. I haven’t played a ranked match in literal years. I’ve just played a lot of Dota for fun, and have picked up enough about all the heroes to be able to understand the bare minimum of what they do. I will still share my opinions and takes though, because this is my video and I do what I want. Just remember to take them with a grain of salt.
I’ll mainly be talking about hero kits, that includes all of their abilities, aghanim’s upgrades (both scepter and shard), and my recommendations for Talents and Facets. I won’t mention item builds because these are very fickle, but I will mention if a hero is traditionally played with a certain item.
And while I said that I would be covering multiple heroes in separate roles, I’m only going to mention heroes that have a significant playstyle change when going from support to core. Spirit Breaker, for example, doesn’t really change whether you’re playing him as a support or as a core, even though you could viably play him in both Pos 4 and Pos 3.
I’m also going to assume you watched my previous series, so I won’t be covering every single skill from heroes that I already covered. If you haven’t, go watch it. Knowing what every hero does in general will help you out as a player.

Ahh Night Stalker. My all time favorite hero. I love vampires and he was the first hero I learned to play back in Dota 1 times.
Omni's Repel is NOT dispelled by Nullifier, because Nullifier doesn't pierce debuff immunity, which is part of Repel itself. This also means that Guardian Angel cannot be dispelled as well, as long as Repel (or any other debuff immunity source) is also applied on the target. Repel can only be removed by dispels that pierce debuff immunity, which are: Shadow Demon's Demonic Purge, Winter Wyvern's Winter's Curse, Doom's Doom and Troll Warlord's Aghs upgraded ranged Whirling Axes.

Man this guy is doing more for DOTA playerbase than Valve. It is because of saints like Acex2ron that this game isnt dead. Im brazilian and being the only portuguese country in SA and latin america overall we get pretty much no attention from Valve compared to our spanish speaking hermanos (and League is much stronger in Brazil) and we only have a 1 strong brazilian dota content creator that goes way and beyond to promote Brazil Dota (all hail the Great Leader SEU CREYSON the best visagerino and dota coach in America, 3 times Goiás Champion and bike speedster AKA RAPHA BALA). Other brazilian content creators are good too but dont get as many viewers even though all of them produce top tier content like yours and prevent BRDota from dying

i wish you mentioned that units hit by kunkka's torrent technically dont exist on the map, so it can be used for stacking jungle creeps that your pos 4 jakiro will take because "trust this gleipnir spike is going to hit hard"

they still exist on the map. what happen is every neutral spawn have a height limit. torrent push all units hit beyond the height limit, the same thing happen with lion's spike.
Night Stalker is supports bane of existence. When you play support and see the enemy pick that mf, you will be his number 1 priority to kill. Also Phoenix is one of his counter btw.

Night Stalker main here. Fire chicken is a night mare to play again. Unless you jump and silent pheonix first. It will ruin your day 9/10 times

Thank god Magnus was nerfed. Putting horn toss as a shard is fucking broken. It pretty much ensured that you will hit skewer every single time.

since the magic/debuff immunity rework, kunkka x marks kinda good for jugg, since you can cast it to him when he spinning, and when he stops spinning you can return him, you need to time it tho

Mars is good to stall with his bulwark , no matter if carry is ranged or melee ( ranged ones u kite with arena and melee ones u just right click them and both of u do rly low dmg to each other) . Problem is if they got an orb attack (OD ) , some sort of modifier ( muerta ult , revenants , maelstorm) or high dmg spells (like drows multishot for physical and jugg spin for magical ) his shield wont do anything and since he doesnt build tank items , he will die rly fast . Honorable mention for silver edge and pa shard . If u want to go for dmg build , after laning stage items ( soul ring , bracer ,wand ,phase) go for blink , deso , bkb , satanic and agh . With this build ul nearly insta kill supports and ul be able to hold your own vs carrys and even more so if u can fight more opponents at once . Save satanic when they all start to focuse u and combo it with rebuke for instant full hp heal.

They really butchered nIght stalker with the removal of the refresher. And don't get me started on poor omniknight, he went from skullcrusher supreme to a fucking joke. I know one deleting people in their fountain with pure damage isn't fair but god damnit it was fun. Plus it wasn't really hard to counter. Now he's just sad, he's a bad core and a mediocre support, absolutely stuck in limbo. Also on Primal you knock back but don't stun your allies too, sometimes that can push your allies off high ground or fuck up their spells, be careful when using it in teamfights. As a sidenote to ogre magi's section, midas is a must get even on support ogre, as a support you're a a ccbot and a bloodrage dispencer. You only really need lens and boots. Midas just gives you so much xp and gold trough multicasting, it's not greedy as he's the hero who is most efficient with the item (well he and arc warden), midas is generally a super greedy item even on cores, on supports I consider buying it griefing but on ogre it's a blasphemy not to get it, sure it's a big gold sink and I wouldn't recommend rushing it unless you stomped your lane, getting it after lens is a must. It's his most bought item with a good winrate on it, no matter of role for a reason, it's practically a part of his kit. Also it enables you to buy much more expensive and luxury items on ogre and also buy offensive support items like hex, as offensive items do multicast, while defensive items like glimmer and lotus don't, although lotus is pretty solid on ogre too.

I talked about ET in the supports series! I recommended people to play him as a hitter, and as a Pos 4. He's perfectly viable as a 3, but as an Offlaner, he's just a Support Hitter Titan with extra farm.

@@Acex2ron That's fair, I just personally build her quite differently when I play her support. (Except for basher, I always get that) but I find that some more traditional support items work well with her. Force staff lets you get up to some crazy shenanigans.
I really like this series but PLEASE follow a route and a q-r range. You keep hopping between q to ult to w to innate to facet. Just take a template and go through it or make it clearer. It can be really jarring to understand which ability you are talking about especially at the speed you speak

This is what I tried in my first few drafts, but there's a lot of issues when it comes to going straight Q-W-E-R because certain spells have special interactions with other spells that need to be talked about beforehand, not to mention innates and Facets. It just makes more sense from a creative standpoint to do it this way
