What an em-Boros-ment to the game.

I like how in the deck intro CGB tells you to just scoop to control match ups and go play a different game; and, then most of the people he plays scoop to the control match up and go play a different game.

Reminder: if Meathook wasn't banned, it wouldn't have rotated out of standard yet. Can you imagine how the meta would be?

Boros convoke wouldn't exist and mono-red would probably would be built differently.. but mono-white would be fine with Thalia into Peacekeeper naming Hook just like it did when Hook was legal

Could you imagine how humiliating it would be to net deck someone and get matched up against them and get so salty you rope that person out because you realize that just because you’re using a good deck doesn’t mean you’re a good MTG player.

That comeback in the final game was intense and fun to watch. Warleader's Call was insanely good in that matchup.

That first game was incredible haha. I don't think I've ever seen such a bodying in a mirror match (not counting mana problems).

I'm continually AMAZED by the number of people who rope me out. Like, what's the point? What are you even mad about? (although, I also often play prison type decks, so I get being a LITTLE annoyed... but just scoop!)

At 19:00, the autotapper was actually helping. It left up a land with a non-mana ability that you had enough mana activate. The only problem is that while you can charge a Blast Zone for 0, it does diddly jack bupkis.

That last game was an epic win for mono black! Well played sir

CGB, you’re the only one I trust to teach me about the meta and how to deal with it 😊

I learned from watching Ash that Massacre Girl, Known Killer isn't just a commander card, so she may justify a draw engine in a kill everything deck.

Ash is a way better player than I am, I never managed to make massacre girl to be effective when I played it. 99% of the time it was a 4 mana does nothing dies, for me. I'm not saying the card is the problem, I'm saying I couldn't make it work, even tho I saw Ash's videos. It is very skill dependent. In the end, I thought I was way better off with Shelly for 4 mana.

This is basically my Athereos Brawl deck, board wipes and instant removal and card draw.

Game 3 was an opponent from the Boros video, too. They played the same deck.

I'll never get there, but it's slightly comforting to know that AFK'ing isn't just something in Bronze ranks and can seep into the top ranks.

I'm reminded of Seth's boardwipe tribal deck from a couple weeks ago. This one is built better because it's not trying to be a meme, though.

This video had me again realize how absolutely absurd Sheoldred is.

Both BW Lifegain and Mono Black Control have been clowning mono red and boros hard. It's been pretty fun. Lol

I'm not sure how much to read into long decision making in the opponents. I've lost dozens of games cause I get a waiting for server screen in the middle of my turn and can't do anything.

A control that doesn't play with creatures: "what kind of shit did you make up?"

Me, an educated fellow with an orzhov deck without creatures focused on dismounting opponents with resort mostly on creatures/planeswalkers

Back in my Magic Duels on Xbox days I had a deck I called "Bad Deck". Mono B w/ nothing but removal & 4 chonky win cons. Something like an 80% win rate. lol

CGB being vindicated against aggro decks was so satisfying to watch.

CGB: They didn't have an easy way to remove the Sheoldred OPPONENT: Liliana of the Veil...

Savagenic, while mythic, managed to make the absolute worst possible plays while playing one of the absolute easiest decks. Par for the course for Arena ranked I guess lol.

@@daniduc it completely depends on if you draw Vampire's Vengence on your turn 3, if you do you sweep their entire board on their turn before they can swing. Then you can usually mop up the knights after and they're topdecking for the rest of the game. Mono red is actually a harder matchup because they use more haste and direct burn. Boros and Mardu Bombardment are a little more resilient with looping Founding of the Third Path and Sunset Revelry, but I'm a Grixis Poison enjoyer myself so it's harder. So a long way of saying that Lifegain and Oops All Removal are great for the meta cause they keep Mono Red down, and are farmable by creatureless strats like Bombardment.

There is no better removal than player removal...so Shoeldred fits perfectly

10:53 it is not an exact copy. He is playing Thran Portals instead of tapped lands. Also he ran 1 copy of a 1 drop life gain dude (which I don't like for this deck). Personally I haven't found the tapped lands to be of much use - I think Mirrex might be better.

God this deck gets owned by RNG. I think I have yet to face a non-token creation deck or straight graveyard squirming deck trying this out. WHAT ARE THE ODDS? XD Well at least Mono red is straight up non-existent for me with this.

In that boros game, was it a lucky topdeck though? I mean in the top 15 with 4 counts of the card it should have a very, very significant chance to pull it. But with shuffler 'fine' and all, yeah like 0.003% chance. I remember playing Commune with Spirits trying to pull a land and the top 4 cards was Generous Visitor. Which ironicly is a spirit, but not something commune hits. Felt great.

I think people who always play on PC tend to forget that there are Mobile players aswell who suffer from that god aweful mobile client that just crashes out of no reason or that someone just came in while you weren't supposed to be on your phone. It's not always just saltiness

Of course its rude to just close the phone because something in real life happened but that's just how it is. Real life sometimes is more important than playing video games

While I agree I can see why he doesn't. No way to cleave cast it, sure the CMC cost it hits will still fold most creature decks but in a mono black mirror big Shelly doesn't get hit by it.

This is normal in today’s game. It’s one of the easiest decks to make and these youngsters gravitate to the easy.
