Coupled with the fact he's a hothead and a meathead to boot, it ruined whatever potential he may have had. Luke was actually a championship level fighter.

One of the most athletically talented fighters in MMA ever.

I've got to give credit to Luke rockhold. He may not have the strongest personality traits and he might make an ass of himself sometimes, but he is a beast of a fighter, and everyone that ends up training with him says that he's one of the most talented martial artist that they've ever met. This is a great compilation to show that he was levels of the head of everyone back then. I hope he beats Paolo Costa. Luke seems to be a lot more likable these days as well.

If nothing else, this playlist is a cautionary tale to the extreme danger of giving up your back. It’s my 2nd biggest pet peeve in grappling. It’s better to give up the mount and fight out from there. If you’re afraid of the mount than your guard recovery is trash, and you should work on it.
